I stopped feeding Floranova Bloom at the start of week 7 flowering. I am using a lot of cal mag (1-0-0) and added more potassium. The tip burn with yellow propagating inwards is potassium deficient and require more cal mag. The tip burn hasnβt propagated since then. The first sign of tip burn was when I left for 3 days and I fed a lot of silica. The fabric pots had lots of white build up. I scrubbed and spray the outside of the pots then flush with pH water to drain the salt accumulated outwards.
Mid week update: The colas keeps growing, the weight is pushing the tomato cage into the coco and isnβt doing much at this point. I should have used them from the start ( big + ). I use polyester thread with big loop knot wrapped around a spacious internode to hold them in place, if you got skinny fingers and manual dexterity. At this point, the plants range of motion is limited but i tie them pointing closer to the more intense regions. I flushed until 800ppm/ 6.0pH readings and replaced with 1100ppm( mostly cal mag and bloom booster ). Bad Azz kush is the ripest but hairs are still white on top ( 10% amber, 70% cloudy ) , Tangerine Dream has lots of brown hairs (5% amber and 50% cloudy) and Abusive OG has all white hairs ( 1% amber and 30% cloudy ). I will stop feeding nutrient within the next 3 days, flush and just keep feeding plain water. I will keep Abusive OG going and just harvest Tangerine Dream π and Bad AZZ kush ππ½
Week 7 ending: I reduced feed to 200ppm and feeding just koolbloom liquid. I will flush tomorrow. Tangerine Dream is very big and is having extra growth on the colas. I am very happy with the size and decided to put the Tangerine Dream under 100W red for the rest of the week. The new growth were bleached and it was looking weird. Bad AZZ kush went under the HLG and has so much potential. Hopefully I can get some extra size by the time I harvest. Tangerine Dream branches almost broke while I moved it, it wasnβt fun. But itβs certainly nice to have some low wattage lights in case you are satisfied with the size of your colas. Thank you Dr.MJ coco, Nebula haze and Nugbuckets for cutting down the learning curve.ππ¨ βοΈπ½
@FreezingIslandBoi, yeah you get that sometimes .. my Strawberry Lemonade I grew last crop was very Sativa dominant and didn't look anything like anyone else's Straw.Lemonade from Barney's. I just considered myself lucky π
@HazeyBobby,
Yes sir, it sure is! I am skeptical about the Abusive OG( 100% Indica ) but is taller than Tangerine Dream Sativa dominate. It makes me question the authenticity of that seed.
Love it! Iβm doing my first mainline/manifold now - I donβt have a diary as Iβm not 100% sure of the genetics (bag seed - but I was told it was Barneys Critical Kush). I might start a diary when I do the 12/12
@Tripledrop,
Thank you Tripledrop! ππ½ Mainlining is great for big yield and the girls get greedy with nutrients! There is a lot of articles on the internet that will help. If you need help, shoot me a message or ask the growers here βοΈπ½ Good luck on your mainlining. I am sure you will kill it and may the ladies bless you with lots of beautiful colas. ππ½
Awesome grow! So happy I found your diary, i currently have AOG going, and it is very cal/mag heavy like you say! glad to see your results, i hope to get half as good as you!
Good to hear you're managing high frequency fertigation by hand ... I know it's a commitment at times. I'm forced into the same situation with the summer heat :)
@FreezingIslandBoi, oh yes... that reunion is always memorable :) I'm in a similar boat soon with a friend watering just once a day for a week π€¦ββοΈ (probably the last week too :) ) - such is life.
@HazeyBobby,
I feel you man but anything for the buds! I water them 5 times a day currently, the lockdown helps else I cannot maintain that amount of watering. I am gone out of town for 3 days :( and will have a friend water them 1 or 2 times a day. They will not like that and I will most likely lose some yield but it will be interesting to see how they are doing when I get back.
Nice grow ... the plants will typically start their long stretch after change of light for about 2-3 weeks. Just keep training them down and if need be reduce the number of plants if height becomes restrictive. Good luck through the next few weeks π
@NedKelly,
I bought these wire ties at the dollar store gardening section. They are also referred as soft wire tie light duty, i am sure you can get your hands on some.
