Trio Feminized

With the new house we bought came a old cold cellar. I wish I took a picture of what I looked like when we moved it. There was rotting furniture, mites and insects, moulds everywhere. I had to hook up 2 extraction fans and ducts because of no window to clean it up. After endless paint stripping, patching and re grouting, it started to look better. I used scrap wood that I collected to build the frame and furring strip to fit the insulations. The previous owner left a lot of boards which I used on top of the insulation. Electrical was the thing and I learned a lot. I was all in to get my first indoor grow room up and running. Now the fun begins!! Not much work so far, just waiting for more growth! Before adding the sprouted seed to the cup, i applied mycorrhiza powder to the roots.

The solar panels are getting bigger! I am running a 200W Algex blurple. I transplanted them to 3 gallons fabric pots. My humidity is very low, i am working on fixing it. The leaves have reached beyond the outer edges of the cups, time to transplant!

They are all growing at the same rate. They should be good for topping next week. It is going to be interesting to see which plant handle mainlining better.

To solve the low humidity problem, i rigged a humidifier with 2 towels and a bucket of water. It increased the humidity from 40% to 53%.

I was sad topping them off but its for the best! Taken clones for outdoor grow.

I keep feeding the plants silica to help reinforce the wall cells help root growth.

They are looking great and i cannot wait to get rid of the blurple. Thanks for bearing with me on the pictures, i do not like these bluish and purplish pictures either.

I took them out of the grow room to take some pictures. The clones are small but i believe they will root and i can mainline them outdoor. My pH jumped to 6.8 and cause some pH fluctuation issue, too much silica salt has been accumulating. I will flush with pH water soon.

I have flushed the Bad Azz Kush with pH water 5.5 while monitoring run-off pH and ppm. The leaves have stopped discoloring and i am hoping she bounce back. I was using color strip for measuring pH but its unreliable when you have brown run off water, i had to stop hurting my plants and get a pH pen for accuracy. This is my first time cloning and i do not have cloning gel, i am on a limited budget (coronavirus) since i am getting two new lights ( 240W HLG and 100W spider farm). I made sure to sterilize the scissors and the soil it is going into, i expect nature to root without some gel :) The Bad Azz Kush stretched more on opposite sides due to the rectangular light pattern and i have not been rotating them a whole lot.

I am not sure why the Tangerine Dream look how they look, i am assuming the growth was altered during rooting resulting into weird leaves which eventually grow to look normal. The Bad Azz kush is a heavier yielder and its clone was much bigger and easier to root than the tangerine dream. Bad Azz kush looks yellowish, i have been under feeding it so i keep increasing feed until leaves turn greener. The Abusive OG has purple stems and looks skinny. It already lost its growth momentum but i am hoping in two weeks she puts on some size. The main clones rooting took 2 weeks without rooting gel. I am excited for the clones to go outdoor, i built a crate for 4 clones and will be updating them in a different diaries.

Home made cloners works great: a bucket, sticky tape and cling film is all you need. I water the clones every 1 to 2 days depending how condensation is building up inside. The Tangerine dream main clone has been transplanted and mycorrhizae colonized the coco, I am happy. I added more mycorrhizae powder to the roots when transferred to the 3 gallon fabric pot. The clones stem are big for their size and I can’t wait to see what they become outdoor. I increased the feed from 300ppm to 450ppm for the Bad Azz Kush and it became greener compared to last week. The Abusive OG did not handle 450ppm well and has been showing sign of nitrogen toxicity on 20% of the leaves so i cut down its feed to 250ppm. Tangerine dream and Bad Azz kush have higher tolerance and i am at 450ppm each with couple of leaves having claws.

I was planning on waiting on another 2 weeks to flower but they are getting too big and lets get it started already. They have not been stretching a whole lot except for Abusive OG. Bad Azz kush is the biggest, Tangerine Dream is the most dense and Abusive OG is long and skinny. I already maxed out my light coverage for the SpiderFarmer 100W and 240W HLG Rspec. If they over stretch, i will add a 200W blurple to supplement. I ended up adding the 200W blurple in the middle of the two white spectrum LEDs. Bad Azz kush stretched 4 inches the past 3 days, I had to bend her down! I wish I defoliated more, they are growing fast and bushy. At 3 weeks, I will strip them down really good!

Tangerine Dream has been faster at showing flowering sign with Abusive OG last. Tangerine dream grows very organized and is perfect for mainlining. Bad Azz kush grow wide and is good for mainline but need lots of LST. Abusive OG did not like mainlining and fell behind every-time I topped. I have been struggling with lowering humidity because I have been on high frequency hand fertigation. I am gone for 3 days this week and all i can dream of is the Marijuana plants lol. I am having a friend watering them 1 to 2 times a day while i am away. I feed them 5 times a day , let us see how much they develop and stretch. I will certainly lose some yield but it should be fine 😤 After coming back, there was a lot of salt build up at the roots. I flushed the three plants with pH water and feed. They look great for being water only 1-2 times a day for 2 days. The white pistils keeps popping. They will need a good defoliation soon. The plants got way too bushy during these 2 weeks. I defoliated strategically to let light penetrate the lower portion. 2 days into week 3, the white pistils is coming out on Tangerine dream. Bad Azz kush has slowed down or need more time to adjust. Abusive OG keeps stretching and hasn’t fully developed bud sites, I LSTed 5 stems. I had phosphorus deficiency on Bad Azz kush and Abusive OG. I increased feed from 750ppm to 1000ppm during these 2 days, mostly phosphorus and potassium.

I have been slowly defoliation as they were getting too bushy. They have been gaining size almost everyday. I increased feed to 1200ppm for Tangerine Dream and Bad Azz kush. 1000ppm max for Abusive OG as I started seeing some nutrient burn. Tangerine dream and Bad Azz kush is nitrogen deficient at the bottom once I exposed them to light. I will increase nitrogen feed and stop until they turn green. They don’t seem to nutrient burn yet and I am having more deficiencies mainly nitrogen and phosphorus. I have no clue what the buds are going to be like since this is my 2nd grow. My first grow was sadden with nitrogen toxicity and I was away for service calls for too many times. The landlord was selling the apartment and I had to hide it multiple time which messed with the atmosphere constantly. I will look in my old phone and try uploading it here. Now I am investing to see how it goes. Lots of growers here just delivers godlike buds and I wish I could hit y’all buds 😙💨💨 ✌️🏽 Week ending: Being at 1200ppm and 1000ppm respectively, I noticed some tip burn. I went down to 1000ppm and 900ppm for TD, BAK and Abusive OG. Abusive OG is still stretching and I had to bend her down. She is 1 week late in flowering. I defoliated Tangerine Dream end of week 2, BAK throughout week 3 and Abusive OG end of week 3.

Tuesday the buds started to increase in size. Last week they just got tonnes of pistils. Bad Azz kush and Tangerine Dream re leafed the past 2 days. The lower buds are getting bigger and starting to become bushy again. I plateaued at 1000ppm due to tip burn and will increase based on deficiencies.

This week has been fruitful! Abusive OG is finally catching up. Bad Azz kush is growing more leaves than bud for now but she is shaking with the weight. Tangerine Dream became the leaning tower of Pisa, the more I looked at it while stoned the more it bends. I tied them with threads and added a partial tomato cage on the bottom. I started having some tip burn and crisp green leaves ( phosphorus deficiency ). I decreased the flora nova bloom and added extra koolbloom. I went high too fast and standing at 800ppm OG nutrient solution rn. I will defoliate next. Friday: Tangerine Dream started to smell so pleasant. It smells like freshly peeled clementines, the scent hits the spot! Bad Azz kush smells earthy and leaves are heavily covered with trichomes! Abusive OG is a mystery, it looks like it is 2 weeks behind in flowering. If it is not, it will have a sad yield. End of week: There have been accumulated salt in the medium. I was feeding 850ppm but 1000ppm was coming out (tip burns). I flushed with plain pH’ed water and replaced with 950ppm. The colas have gotten bigger but the smell is still weak.

The tangerine scent is very pleasant and relaxing. I cannot wait to volcano some Tangerine Dream nugs. The colas have been fattening more in week 6 compared to last week. I defoliated Tangerine Dream and Bad Azz kush where ever fan leaves are covering the buds. Tangerine Dream has 50% brown pistils but the trichomes are still half clear half cloudy. Bad Azz kush has all white pistils but some trichomes are becoming amber, around 5% amber. Abusive OG is sad looking and all the trichomes are still clear, I hope she has a lot more to go. She has definitely been putting on some size though. I was away for 2 days and had a friend feed the plants for me. The colas have definitely fatten and it is great to see the change! The scent of Tangerine Dream is so strong. Bad Azz kush trichomes are becoming more cloudy. Abusive OG flowers are growing but very slowly. The main observations so far is right lights = beautiful and big colas and your yield is driven by genetics , rest is human judgment!

I stopped feeding Floranova Bloom at the start of week 7 flowering. I am using a lot of cal mag (1-0-0) and added more potassium. The tip burn with yellow propagating inwards is potassium deficient and require more cal mag. The tip burn hasn’t propagated since then. The first sign of tip burn was when I left for 3 days and I fed a lot of silica. The fabric pots had lots of white build up. I scrubbed and spray the outside of the pots then flush with pH water to drain the salt accumulated outwards. Mid week update: The colas keeps growing, the weight is pushing the tomato cage into the coco and isn’t doing much at this point. I should have used them from the start ( big + ). I use polyester thread with big loop knot wrapped around a spacious internode to hold them in place, if you got skinny fingers and manual dexterity. At this point, the plants range of motion is limited but i tie them pointing closer to the more intense regions. I flushed until 800ppm/ 6.0pH readings and replaced with 1100ppm( mostly cal mag and bloom booster ). Bad Azz kush is the ripest but hairs are still white on top ( 10% amber, 70% cloudy ) , Tangerine Dream has lots of brown hairs (5% amber and 50% cloudy) and Abusive OG has all white hairs ( 1% amber and 30% cloudy ). I will stop feeding nutrient within the next 3 days, flush and just keep feeding plain water. I will keep Abusive OG going and just harvest Tangerine Dream 🍊 and Bad AZZ kush 👊🏽 Week 7 ending: I reduced feed to 200ppm and feeding just koolbloom liquid. I will flush tomorrow. Tangerine Dream is very big and is having extra growth on the colas. I am very happy with the size and decided to put the Tangerine Dream under 100W red for the rest of the week. The new growth were bleached and it was looking weird. Bad AZZ kush went under the HLG and has so much potential. Hopefully I can get some extra size by the time I harvest. Tangerine Dream branches almost broke while I moved it, it wasn’t fun. But it’s certainly nice to have some low wattage lights in case you are satisfied with the size of your colas. All the trichomes are cloudy and the amber colour is starting to appear. Bad Azz Kush has gotten a little bit bigger and the pistils are starting to turn brown. I am impressed with the size of these colas, I am very pleased with Barneys Farm seeds. So I decided to keep the flowering going because the trichomes on the resin glad are still clear. All this time I was looking at the leaves trichomes not the resin glands. Bad Azz kush keep having new sets of pistils and Tangerine Dream is getting denser. I also pruned some of the lower branches to make some edibles.

Most of the pistils are brown and fewer is coming out. This is the last week that I will feed them and will flush with pH water tomorrow. They have gained quite some size during this week and couldn’t imagine chopping them down last week. Tangerine Dream got bleached a little bit, height issue. There is also a tiny bit of purple on the bleached area. Overall trichomes on the bud gland are starting to become cloudy with some amber.

Today is Sunday, I am pump for the harvest! One last photo shoot before the ladies gets chopped! I will not measure the wet weight, I will wait until they are dry to measure.

I grew Tangerine Dream under HLG Rspec 240W for the whole grow except the last 2 weeks. I am very impressed by the size and density of the colas. Tangerine Dream has the biggest colas out of the 3 strain grown. The final space occupied by tangerine dream 2ftx2ft. Downside is long flowering time and heavy colas that needs support. This strain responds well to mainlining, needs lots of space and uneven height main branches will result in uneven canopy. The colas are not homogeneous. The yield was very satisfying and turned out more that I expected. Thanks for the support everybody 🙏🏽👍🏽 Keep growing

The final space occupied was 3ft x 3ft. She was grown under a 200W Aglex blurple and sharing half of HLG 240W light coverage. The whole grow room measure 8ft x 6ft x 6ft (height) and I used a total of 540W in a linear arrangement with a blurple in the middle. Spider farmer SF-1000 100watts , Aglex 200 watts, HLG Rspec 240watts. Tangerine Dream, Bad Azz Kush and Abusive OG yielded a whopping 770g of dried buds in coco coir medium. I have never seen that much marijuana in front of me lol but all the work paid off. High frequency fertigation ( 5 times a day ) is very rewarding. The trimming took me 2 days and my eyes/ back hurts. After drying for 1.5 weeks, the branches started snapping. This Indica yielded 318g, with lots of medium sized dense nugs and less larf than Tangerine Dream. I am extremely happy with the grow and yield and look forward to mainline more marijuana plants. Mainlining is very rewarding. Thanks for the support everybody 🙏🏽✌️🏽

Abusive OG performance was satisfactory but it could have been much better. She surely does not like mainlining and requires lots of cal/mag. The colas are skinny and long with frosted trichomes. The yield was sad for a mainlined plant that grew for over 20 weeks. It’s a combination of better light and knowing how to grow her that would have made a big difference.
