Second week In flower. Got heat problems due to hot weather and grow box located in attic space. Temp can reach 36 degrees so I start offsetting the off period so it coincides with the hottest part of the day. Also added an air inlet drawing cooler air from roof soffit.

Grow Questions

As you can see, the colas are developing and seem healthy but are pretty thin for 5 weeks which I out down to extreme heat (up to 36 degrees for a few hours) last fortnight. Also the cheap £40 led doesn't help. Do you think I should flower it 9-10 weeks instead 7-8?

Hello, Wow even with the 36 degrees they still look good, not heat stressed or ugly by any means. As for fattening up, i usually notice the most bulking on my plants in the last 3 weeks of flowering so I think there's still lots to come. And for this strain i think its not uncommon to actually have a flowering time anywhere from 7-11 weeks, every plant and environment will give you different results. By your white pistils I'd say its definitely got at least another 3+ weeks to plump up. Happy harvesting.

I noticed on some of the lower buds, the small sword like leaves clustering around the buds have gone a bit glossy. Isn't this usually nitrogen related but there's no evidence or much tip burn. Should I lay off the nutes for a Few days?

Yeah or just dial it down a bit and see how she responds.. didn't quite burn her but the evidence of overfeeding is pretty evident. Happy growing! 👊

I've noticed the several of the top Colas continue to stretch upwards instead of thickening up. It's almost as if the colas are growing a foxtail from the top of each one. Plants seem healthy and resinous otherwise. Any thoughts?

That is typical light stress for top buds. Heat can be a factor as well. But you are using leds, so my money is on light stress. These buds need to moved/bent/tied away from the lights. If they are few, move bent tie, if many, lift the light upward if possible.

Lovely looking beauties. I would recommend slightly over on the flowering for more of a stone effect. But its a very calming relaxing strain, perfect for calm contemplation and meditation.

@Gamalan, hindu kush is a nice smoke but its not as strong as some people make it out to be, slightly longer will give a better stone as its 100% indica there is little benefit to an early harvest in my opinion.

@NexusDevil, since it's 100% indica, would an early crop give much of a head stone?
