How big can I let Pegge grow before potting her into a larger container? She’s in a jiffy pellet right now. Also how big should the pot be? Are there any pot recommendations? Is fabric/terrace/plastic best? Cheers guys xx

Hello So with the jiffy pellet size...eventually you're going to see roots poking out of it and when you do transplant right away so the roots don't get much light, otherwise I'd say let her go another 3 days max before transplanting. I usually go into a solo cup size first, let it get about 6 inches tall and several sets of leaves before putting into the final container. Maybe just do a 1-3 gallon pot if it's gonna live in the window, that's big enough to get many J's. Id use a fabric pot if i were you? Because they don't stay soaking wet for too long and it air prunes the roots. Smart pots are a good brand but any off brand works just as nice. Good luck with the grow, cheers to home grown J's.🌱💚

Hiya! I’m going to grow in a mix of coco coir and perlite. (Currently in a jiffy) What sort of percentage should I look for in my mix, 50:50 or more of either? Cheers! 🥦

i'd base it on size of the pot. smaller pot, smaller percentage needed for good drainage. because coco doesn't retain as much water as soil, you'll want to maximize that portion... it already has excellent drainage propoerties. 10-20% should do you upto 5 gallon.. maybe 20-30% in something like a 7-10gallon? it floats, so have a couple inches of pure coco to put on top, if you don't like it turning all white up top.. also helps avoid algea on perlite that does rise to top.

She's looking happy! The joints are called nodes. You will know she's starting to flower when you see little white hairs called pistils emerging from the nodes. Make sure if you force flower by putting the plant in darkness that you are consistent with the time and there are no light leaks. If you are not consistent/there are leaks your plant will "re-veg" which will halt the development of the buds and make them grow oddly. You could use a card board box, a cupboard, a plastic bin or small grow tent is not too expensive. I recommend training the plant to a flat canopy / topping before flower to get best yeild for a small space. CFL bulb will not have much penetration so you want the plant as short as possible. You could also consider "lollipoping" where you cut off all the lower growth and just focus on the top bud. Always happy to help :)

Keep her in the sun light, she can't get enough :) just be careful she doesn't get hotter than 35C. The dead spots on the leaves will be something else.
