DAY 0/1- Starting 3 seeds; 2 Black Widow and 1 Skywalker OG. I got them from ILGM.com and they were not cheap seeds. They were in water for 18 hours. All seeds eventually sank. Going to transplant to Rapid Rooters and into my tray, in my tent. Will be soaking the Rapid rooters in a slight nutrient mix. Using FoxFarm (1/3 the recommended amount for seedlings). Once foliage shows, I will turn on the light at about 18-24 inch. Also going to be on a 18/6 Lighting schedule. I will be using 3 gallon Cloth pots eventually once they get a few inches tall. DAY 3 - 2 Black Widows have sprouted 1+ inch roots out of the bottom of the Rapid Rooter and have sprouted yeaaaaa!! Lone wolf- Skywalker has a strong and long 2 inch root but hasn’t come out on top...yet. ASSuming she will show today. Added TNB 1L Co2 left on the floor of the tent with the seedlings. I’m not sure how much Co2 help at this stage but We live and learn! DAY 5 - Placed them into Coco Loco 3 gallon cloth pots. The roots were protruding through rooters at about 1.5-2.5 inches each. Both BWs ladies are doing well. Lady Skywalker is struggling and I’m hoping is just a late bloomer. Day 6 - BW1 is still ahead of her class. Growing strong. BW2 is doing well. SW1 is struggling bad. All three were in need of watering. I added FF nutes at a significantly reduced amount based on FF recommendations. Day 7 - End of week ! And things are progressing nicely.

week 2 - Watering is .5/gallons per feeding every 3rd day. I spray in between feeding several times per day. Day 8 week 2 starting out strong BW1 and BW2 are growing nicely and growing 2nd set of leaves. SW1 is doing well too. Just growing a bit slower. Probably genetics. I have been rotating my plants in my tent to try and get better light coverage. Day 9 the light is 15 inches and the lux meter is showing at the point of leaves 387, 341, 420. Using an iPad app so who the flux knows how accurate that is? The ladies seem to be doing well and I don’t see stretching...yet. 😳 TODAY WAS WATERING DAY. Day 10 leaving the light at 15 inches to tops. Lux readings still coming in at 375 - 435 lux. The temp humidity are all good but Elevated. Added another fan for better air flow to help with mold/mildew and high temps. Coco is moist To the touch. Just misting them today. Day 11 - rotated plants for better light coverage. My new Lux meter (Dr Meter LX1330B) arrived late yesterday. The new lux readings I am hoping are more accurate then the iPad app I was using. So I took a risk and lowered the light down to 12 inches from 15. Lux meter readings were all around 345 to 368. Checking them a little more frequently to make sure they can handle the light. Light Manufacturer specs say light height s/b 6” from canopy. So 12” doesn’t seem that much. We will see. Day 12 - The leaves on all 3 started to bend on some of the edges. I adjusted the light up a few inches. 1st large dose of nutes today. I even added a small .25/dose per gallon dose of the Kelp me. Day 14 - ladies are all looking great.

I am using a Dr Meter LX1330B model I barrow from a friend. I am running at 12 inches from canopy (no real canopy yet) my LUX meter is reading 300+/- a few points. How can I know the optimal LUX meter readings for best growth at any growing stage?

Hi there! Heres a quick guide for lux meter! https://www.growweedeasy.com/lux-meter I think there must be some kind of scaling in your meter so 300 is really like 30,000 or something like that cos 300 is really low or is it PAR or PPFD?

1 of the 2 Black Widow Plants (BW2) is missing a fan leaf. The fan leaf did not fall off, It never grew. My question is What if anything does this mean?

With these young plants that are still moving from the 1st single finger leaves into 3 finger and up to 9, it's pretty common for them to have incomplete leaves. Occasionally you'll see it with older plants too. The only time i had a plant consistently do this was when it wasnt getting adequate light, once it was increased the quirk worked itself out. There's definitely some odd leaf patterns out there and you even sometimes might find a leaf with extra tips versus less, but that seems to be less common. You little plants look great, watch for more of these oddities with this plant.✌️

Week 3 Day 15 water and feed. Rotated plants in tent and adjusted light. Day 16 They have responded very well to the water/feeding yesterday. The leaves have grown so much in the past 24 hours. They are now at least at the edge of the 3 gallon cloth pots and are looking healthy and happy. Day 18 - the ladies growth has picked up a lot. They are soaking up the nutes and looking relatively healthy. Slight heat burn on a few leaves so I backed off the light an inch. Not too concerned with all the growth I believe the plants are handling the stress. I will continue to monitor. Day 20.- looking to top and LST on both BWs and follow up later in the week for SW1 topping. He is still lagging behind the BWs. FEEDING DAY Way top them in the morning.

Week 4 Day 21 - I topped all three this morning. I may mainline them or 1/2 based on need. All three are Developing it seems a few days apart. BW2 is most mature followed by BW1 and baby SW1 in 3rd. Day 22 - I defoliate the bottom of each plant. Sh now I only have Nod 2 and 3. Which I may keep for now. Seems well balance at the moment Day 23 - I got them off the ground with some dry racks and pans under to catch run off. I notice the bottom of my cloth pots not drying out at all between feedings. The growth in just one Day 24 - Flushed with FF Sledgehammer topped agin for the last time BW2 - has 12 bud sites will be trimming to 8 if it doesn’t grow well. BW1 - has 8 bud sites but cracked a limb at the shoulder. So it’s taped up and still attached. Leaving it be. Maybe down to 6 bud sites. SW1 - working small plant compared to BWs but holding her own. Left with 8 bud sites. Week 4 over. Waiting a week for plants to recover and then flipping them beeotches to flower end of week 5.

Day 33. flipped them to Flower last night. Using 10am to 10pm for my light cycle. I hope it works out. Fingers crossed. I have my fan running all day. The smell is getting intense. Day36 F4. I trimmed the large fan leaves from BW2. Day 37 W6 feeding today. Both SW1 and SW2 both showed signs of Phosphorous shortage. Bottom fan lease had dark spots growing from the vein of the leaf to the edge. Only on the Skywalker OG plants. The Black widows are doing well and out growing the SWs. Made sure my PH was in a leaves for Phosphorus intake. Day 39- Defoliated SW1/2 and BW1. BW2 already got hers a few days ago. BW2 is growing a few days ahead with growth. so with the topping I did I tried something different with each plant. I’m new at growing cannabis, so I want to learn what works best for me in my garden. BW2 has 12 bud sites. Strong growing plant BW1 has 6 bud sites. SW1 has 6 bud sites SW2 has 4 bud sites Not including popcorn buds sites. Just potential Colas. Fingers and toes crossed! I may trim the lower bud sites on 2 of the 4. Maybe 1 BW and 1 SW. I am trying to learn for myself what I have read/watch/breathed, eaten and crapped all this data for months. It it nice to put it all together.

Start of week 8 (week 3 day 23 flower) all 3 are growing strong BW2 is still my pride and enjoy. BW1 and SW1 and also doing very well. Just not as big. We will see soon enough what the end result will be. I recharged the DIY Co2 bucket again. So CO2 is pumping now. Ladies growing strong. Fingers crossed....toes too. Feed them all today. Recharged Doubled (.25 to .5 tsp/gallon) and started FF Bembé at full dose. I may skip the flush or flush next watering in a 3-4 days

Hello The plants are looking great so far , very healthy. I'd say go through and defoliate some of the biggest light blocking leaves, and then also make sure the bottoms are defoliated nicely. If there's lots of room for a light or two around the base i don't see anything wrong with that, but you'll want to be wary of heat rising from the bulbs and burning those bottom areas. I've rarely been able to make my bottom popcorn buds grow into much, so it would be interesting to see if this would help at all...just pay close attention to the heat and the leaves to make sure all is well under the canopy. Keep trying new things and see what works for you. 👍

This looks like it could be early stages of Phosphorus deficiency. If you leave it too long this can cause a lock-out and produce deficiencies of calcium, copper, iron, magnesium and zinc.

Ran into a big problem with nutrient burn. Stunted the growth and bud production. Started to see all milky trichombs and several ambers as well. Next feeding will start flushing w/RO water. Sucks but was not a complete loss. We will see the final weight but I doubt it’s much at all. I have been trying to reduce the humidity as well. I got a small DEhumidifier and seems not to be doing much but put in a small heater next to the tent and seems to be keeping humidity in check. At least for the past 24 hours. What a difference a week makes. End of week 11 and still holding out for some amber.

Not yet, for the highest level of THC, you should consider harvesting when 70-90% of the pistils have changed color, and most of the trichomes are milky/ cloudy, this is when the bud is it's most potent.

Overall my Black Widow from Mr. Nice stole the show. Made my very first grow a great experience. Going to grow more of both BW and SWOG. I would recommend both SW OG and BW for anyone thinking about these strains.
