Off to a slow start which is partly my fault for filling the net pot up to much so taking ages for the roots to reach the res and due to the fact I have had ph meter issues so only just been able to start feeding, hopefully starts picking up pace from here! On the plus side she's looking nice and healthy 👍
Starting to show some growth now and going along nicely, roots starting to really form, she should start putting on a spurt this week now I'm able to start giving her a proper feed
She's looking real healthy with nice dark leaves but I'm still waiting for her to stretch as at the moment she looks like a lettuce lol, this one is definitely going to be pungent as can already smell her when I open the tent!
She has really stretched over the past week and I am very happy with her progress, lots of side branching going On, I did a light defoliation and took off the bottom big fan leaves, I will start being a bit more aggressive with it next week as she is quite stocky and bushy
Very happy with how this girl is coming along now, lots of bud sites being developed on a daily basis but the problem is I am running out of space although the expando poles have helped some 😀
Have started defoliating every day now to allow good light penetration and she seems to have really taken to it so I will continue this throughout the grow.
Will keep on feeding veg nutes until vertical growth has stopped so probably abother week or 2, I think at this rate this grow is going to be 100 days plus.
Wow this girl is going long! It looks like she is just about pre flowering now so hopefully by next week she will be fully in flower, on the plus side of this long veging time she has created alot of side branching and bud sites so I expect her to be a heavy yielder for sure, also I did alot of defoliation to open her up some to get good air flow in there, I will change over to flower nutes now also.
Not going to lie, this week has been a bit of a struggle trying to keep temps up and PH & EC stable, I have tried to experiment a bit on this grow with res changes as previously I did a res change every week without fail but wasted alot of nutrients down the drain so on this grow I have only changed out the res once before today and just kept topping up even when I changed onto flower nutrients I just threw them on top of the veg nutes in my bucket figuring it would be ok but wow in one day I saw my PH drop from 6.1 down to 5.0 and my EC go from 1.8 up to 2.6, a few leaves are starting to show some deficiencies (nute burn i think) so from here on out I think I'm going to go back to weekly changes as there was some salt build up in my bucket, I've also dropped my EC back down to the level she was last happiest at so hopefully it will stabilise her.
Has been hard trying to keep on top of my EC and I haven't been able to find the sweet spot but it's not surprising considering how big her roots are now! She is really starting to create flowers quickly now and am hoping she starts to frost up anytime soon, really excited for the next 5 or 6 weeks to see how she turns out 😉
Very pleased with progress and she is packing on weight really quickly, if she carries on like this for the next 4 or 5 weeks I'm in for some big colas 😃
Love this strain, she just gets better and better, getting fat now but still 3 weeks left could even be 4 but I'm in no rush as want these buds fully ripe!
She is not far from being done now maybe a week left till chop, I did some major lollipopping about a week ago and got rid of loads of branches which weren't going to produce dense top shelf nugs which I couldn't be bothered to trim plus she can now concentrate on stacking on the final weight to the colas
This plant is amazing she is still packing it On, still drinking alot so I'm still thinking another 2 weeks as trichomes are still some clear, most cloudy and 1 or 2 amber, her buds are getting so dense now all over so I don't think there will be any larf 😉
Still going strong, loads of autumn colours now but still alot of clear trichs so I'm letting her go at least 1 more week as I'm not in rush to pull her down yet, I will start slowly trimming off the bigger leaves and then I will start trimming her up whilst she is still growing so I don't have to spend a whole day trimming her at the end
@goarilla, I totally agree that it all depends on where you live etc and your circumstances, I live in an apartment in an urban area and I don't have a garden, unfortunately where I am from its still illegal so stealth for me is a must so people seeing me with bags of dirt just raises suspicion which is another reason I went for DWC as all I need is water and nutes. I hear NFT systems are supposed to be really good but haven't looked to much into them.
@MrGreenFingers, I don't know ... it's hard navigating the hydro market. Too much overzealous marketings and unworkable systems. Concerning DWC it seems hard to keep large quantities of water at a ph, temperature that is in a narrow range, it also limits where you can do it. You need an easy to access drain and sink nearby or you will be juggling water buckets over stairs and distances. I would love to try rockwool on a table with a drip system but for now I stick with dirt. I have a garden as well so ... the waste gets thrown on the compost pile.
@goarilla, yeah bro but genuinely I made the choice as I read alot of grow journals before I started and to me and the way I think it seemed the easiest method, soil just seemed more complicated to me as with DWC you know exactly which nutrients and quantities you are using and also if you mess up you just throw the solution down the drain and start fresh, issues people have are root rot but if you buy good equipment to start with it will be fine
@BigDaddyK, thanks BDK appreciated bro! Yeah I used terpinator only twice as it claims not to raise EC but for every ml/l I used it seemed to raise my EC by 0.1 so I don't understand, maybe it means you can just ignore the rise?? My PH seemed ok though which is weird but was using silicone as well which I think steadies up PH until someone pointed out the Canna nutes already have silicone added to them lol 😂😂
I feel like the jump from week 4 to week 5 , was 5 inches to 17 inches but the week 5 looms like 24 inches and mabey a week 6 or 7 shot , do you think a picture was mixed up or did it truly jump so much like that with an incredible root Mass in just a week? Great grow thumbs up
@RealThor89, I think it was 8 or 9 days bro, I went skiing that week and left her alone but I think I posted week 4 on the Friday before I left and then posted week 5 on the Sunday when I got back.
