Balcony Experiment - Outdoor

Mr_Motalovah Girl Scout cookies auto characteristics Genetics: (West Coast OG x Durban Posion) x Ruderalis Harvest: 8-9 weeks from seedling Indoor yield: 500-650gr/m2 Outdoor yield: 70-300gr/plant Height: 60-100cm THC: 22% CBD: 0.6% This is my third time growing this strain. Loved the smell, taste and high of the previous grows. Last grow I had a full range mixed smell of mint, chocolate, cookies and earth👌 Very happy with this strain. 😃 First was outdoor in a small pot, little experience and harvested 60G from a 58cm plant. Second was indoor under a 600w HPS harvested 76G from 65cm plant. This time around I'm starting her off in the tent just because I have other seedlings in there and mind as well use all the energy. After the first week she'll be moved into an 8L fabric pot. She'll spend the rest of her grow cycle on the balcony with two other ladies. Day 1: Seed placed in water over night Day 2: Seed placed in humid paper towels Day 4: Seed germinated and placed in 500ml cup with Biobuzz Light mix Planted: Day 1 Seedling is starting its thing. A couple of days after and first fan leaves already showing. Overall she's looking healthy and has good growth. 💪 I noticed the leaves were twisting a little bit, but it was because my humidifier wasn't properly adjusted.

Mr_Motalovah IN LOVE WITH THIS STRAIN! 😍 I'm pretty sure I'll be growing her more times in the future. (Smoking it right now while I edit the journal) This week went great! Beginning of the week she was transplanted to her final pot, given the past results I decided to go with an 11L fabric pot. We've got about 16 hours total of sunlight but only 5-6 hours of direct light. She took the transplant great and is growing vigorously! Just soaking up the summer sun! 😎 Next week I'll start with LST. 💪

Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Normally I start training in week 4 or 5 but last grows I waited too long and didn't turn out right. Tied down and the next day she was already looking up. Heat went up this week reaching 34ºC some days but mainly 31ºC Nice cool breeze going this week so I'm glad about that and the ladies are loving it. 🌱 Started with 500ml then 800ml but with the heat, breeze and fabrcic pots I had to up it to 1L. 🤲💧💧💧 Began the week with deep underground for that extra kick in the roots then continued the week with grow nutrients. Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 This week is going nicely, new growth is starting to come out. 🌱 She's looking really healthy and is loving the sunshine, most likely going to have to up the amount of water. Didn't think she would drink this much given theres only 5 hours of direct light but she's drinking it all up and fast! No signs of pistils yet, no that gives me more time to give her some form before flowering. Last time I started LST too soon and this time I started too early. 😂 Oh well, live and learn. I've still got some time to adjust so let's see how she turns out. 🤔 Happy Growing!😃🌱🌿🌲

She has HUGE leaves already. 😍 So far I'm hiding the biggest fan leaves to give light to bud sites but I'm thinking about doing a little defoliation next week and also bend a little more. She's drinking 1,5L every other day and is asking for more! Given the current size and no signs of pre flower yet.. she'll be huge for my tiny balcony... Thinking about topping her next week to reduce height and even up the canopy.. I'll also defoliate the bottom growth which doubt will amount to anything.. Having lots of fun with this one!! 😍 Most def recommend this strain! Happy Growing!😃🌱🌿🌲

Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 This strain is a monster!! Grows so fast, it's amazing! Topped and trained her first day of the week, a few days later she was already growing vigorously!! 💪 🚀 Also cleared up some bottom growth that wasn't going to reach up evenly.. after topping she keeps growing upwards and fast so I might have to tie down those top colas or maybe even top them, haven't decided yet.. All I know is she's going to be HUGE for this tiny balcony. 😍 😁 I'm not sure how much direct light the balcony will be receiving when she starts to flower.. I'm going to wait a couple of weeks and after seeing how she grows I might cut off some more bottom growth or not, let's see. This week heat went up and humidity down like crazy. Colas are starting to even out, top side of the canopy is looking great. Pistils are starting to show up.. I'm guessing in a few weeks she'll be in flower.. Will be doing some defoliation next week to cut off that small bottom growth. Giving more energy to the main bud sites. She is a beast of a strain. Having a lot of fun with this one like always. My fault completely, days are hot and windy so I'm watering 2.5 liters every two days which was working great for her. This past week the heat dropped and it was mainly cloudy. On top of that I took out the first and second nodes from the bottom half of al branches. I should've lowered the amount of water but didn't, so she spent most of the week overwatered. 😞 At the end of the week she started looking better as the soil dried up. Top of the canopy is looking great! Watch your ladies carefully, one simple mistake could ruin it if you don't catch it on time. Take care and Happy growing! 😃

Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 She has recovered!! 😁😅 It feels great to see her healthy again. Watering her this week I was examining the pot and her root system is ALL OVER the place.. She's filled up the whole pot, good thing because that means she made the most of it and you can clearly see that in her size. But its also a bad thing because seeing that she's been picky lately with the feeding I'll have to be extra careful with that. That why I like fabric pots, in this situation theres less probability of root bound because of all the air flow around.. She's officially gotten too big for my tiny balcony, neighbors will be able to see her. 😬 When the time comes my girlfriend saw a great idea which is placing fake roses on the colas to give her a little camouflage. Her colas are starting to stack up nicely. She's going to be a beauty in flower! 😍 Have a great one Cannafam! Stay safe and happy growing! 😃

I'll have some more for next week maybe even a video or something to see her more in detail.. This week has been good, she's grown about 10cm all three large colas. Looks promising so I'm hoping for the best.. She's officially gotten taller than my balcony's fence, that means my two front neighbors can see her. Let's hope that doesn't give me any problems. She hasn't stopped growing yet, that's another 10cm this week. Really really visible for my top to neighbors.. 😂 Now I'm just at a point where it's like fuck it, whatever happens happens. She's not stacking as good as I hope on the top four colas. For my taste there's too much space between each node. The bottom growth isn't getting that much light anymore but there's some little bud sites.. No smell yet but I'm guessing that'll kick in next week. That's it for this week. Mr_Motalovah Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Hows everyone doing? Hope things are great. Another week of flower for this balcony girl. Since week 8 of flower she's been stretching 10 cm a week. This past week she only grew 5cm so I'm sure the flower stretch is over and she'll start focusing her energy on growing those buds. I'm feeding every other day still and the same amount. Only feeding bloom nutrients and in a week or so I'll start adding an organic PK booster. She got stressed again this week, the weather has been really sketchy lately.. sunny, cloudy, stormy, windy... all that in the same day 😂 So I'm doing my best to make her feel comfortable in the midst of all this weather. Some nights I mover inside in case it suddenly starts raining.. There's also less direct sunlight. Other than that things are fine, she's starting to get trichomes on some bud sites and starting to give off a nice little smell. Have to keep her save for these final and key weeks! Really bad weather, rain, wind, blazing heat, cloudy, temps going from 17-35C every other day for 2 WEEKS straight.. very sketchy! World's going to shit y'all! Also had a Spider mites battle for 3 weeks and finally got rid of them. And on top of that, all of the pictures I had weekly were deleted off my pc.. Only have a few for each week, luckly found those on my phone. I've been watering 2L every other day for the past 4 weeks. Some days less.. about 1.6L beacuase there just wasn't enough sun for her to drink up. On week 16 there were some crazy-ass MFing winds. I'm talking gone with the wind style. As I had the spider mite problem, I didn't want to bring her in the house and risk those little fuckers finding their way to my grow room. (As I have that section perfectly isolated and pest free, wanted to keep it that way.) The result of not bringing her inside? The bottom branches that weren't tied down properly because I didn't think they would be damaged as the balcony has a little wind breaker on the bottom half. But to my surpise.. all three branches snapped and broke, So i decided to go ahead and take them off. I know it isn't much info for the past weeks, but It's what I've been battling with. The buds are airy as a result of all the stress, don't look to appleaing to be honest. My other two GSC came out GREAT, awesome lovely dense buds but those were different conditions. I'm just finishing her to harvest because she made it through a big battle and deserves to be harvested as a champion she is. Keeping in mind this was just a balcony experiment to see what I can and can't do with this balcony.. I'm not too worried about the final outcome. Luckily she pulled through so i'll make some hash with what I harvest. I'll also be joining the FastBuds Halloweed contest with this lady before harvesting and I've got the perfect idea... 😏 Hope you all enjoyed the update and again sorry for the long delay on this one. I've been watering for past 10 days with only water. So I'll be harvesting soon. I'll take some better pictures this week after the halloweed dress up and before harvesting. Mr_Motalovah Hello Growers & Tokers! It's my third time growing this strain and it won't be the last. To be honest first two runs came out better but they also had better growing conditions so I can't complain. She's the tallest out of the three I've grown. Growing was pretty easy, she handles the training well. I ran into some problems when the weather started to change there was about a month of rain, sun, cloudy, windy changes daily and that was harsh on her. Ended up with a burnt cola top. She was also on a balcony that only receives 4-6 hour of direct sunlight. This was just an experiment to see what I can and can't grow in the balcony. I'd say it was a good experiment. Served me well.. I also ran into some spider mite problems which took me a couple of weeks to get rid of. Given the conditions the buds came out airy so I'll be using them to make some bubble hash. I also went ahead and did a little Halloweed photo session. Can anyone guess the theme? 🕷️ Hope you enjoy those pictures. 😂 They're still drying... so when they're dry I'll set a side the best bud to dry, cure and sample. With the rest I'll make some bubble hash. I'll post an update on the harvest week with the final dry weight, some pictures of the dry buds and the hash outcome. Stay tuned. Take care out there!
