Welcome to my next indoor grow! My first indoor grow with barneys farm is finished now and the buds are drying and will be cured in the next weeks.
This time I decided to try out the sativa-line from greenhouse seed company; Hawaiian Snow, Francos Lemon Cheese, arjans Ultra Haze #2, as well as the super lemon haze from Linda seeds!
All of them germinated really quickly. Because I want to go travelling in middle of September, they were transplanted directly from eazy Plug into 11 Liter fibre pots from gronest.
They will receive 3 weeks of vegetation and then be sent into flowering! Really excited about the stretching as well as the flowering of those really strong sativas!
This diary will be focused on the Francos lemon cheese!
The beginning of the second week showed me that two plants have the most potential to grow into really big and strong plants!
Arjans Ultra haze is already really big, as well as Francos lemon cheese!
Welcome to my Francos lemon cheese diary!
I think I have the sativa-like phenotype, which is exactly what I hoped for in my haze grow😅
I hope she’ll grow a bit more because if not the arjans Ultra haze is going to overtake her🚀
Welcome to the 4th week of flowering for my Francos lemon cheese!
She starts to smell stronger now, but I love it. She takes nutrients like water and to me the buds are getting fatter and fatter! The structure is really compact and easy to handle, so till now a great strain!
Welcome!
My Francos lemon cheese has polyploid buds, which stokes me a lot! Hawaiian snow is polyploid and has triploid buds as well, so far amazing genetics from greenhouse seeds. Her buds are nearly exploding, and it’s funny to see her in front of the arjans Ultra haze which will need so much longer😅
Welcome to the sixth week of flowering in my tent!
The Franco's Lemon Cheese is a stinky strain so far.
What i really like about her is her compact size and those really dense buds with real thick, white pistils.
But this is also my biggest fear, because of the density and the high humidity i'm scared of budrot... maybe you have any tips for me?
She smells lovely and is super sticky! darkest leave colour in my tent💪
Welcome to the seventh week of flowering for my Franco's Lemon Cheese!
She's doing perfectly fine, nothing to complain about. She's just swelling and swelling the whole time! Amazing to see calyxes overgrow each others!
Her buds have beautiful colours and lovely orange pistils.
Welcome to the eighth week of flowering for my Francos lemon cheese!
It’s awesome to see her growing fat colas in such a short time. They are super sticky and can barely hold their own weight.
Welcome to the ninth week of flowering for my Franco's Lemon Cheese!
Her main-colas just don't want to stop growing, they're the hugest buds i've ever grown😍
I started fertilising her with canna PK 13/14, because i thought she might need it to even produce more calyxes😙
As well i need to support the branches with a lot of effort, because otherwise they'll fall over, they're just to heavy.
She could be ready in the next two weeks, we'll see!
It’s the 10th week of flowering and she’s doing really fine! Huge main buds. She is pretty sticky and might be ready for harvest in less then 2 weeks.
This week I gave her also pk 13/14 from canna.
She won’t yield too much but that’s okay, I’m looking for quality and not for quantity😉
Francos lemon cheese was a fun strain to grow. Easy growth and nothing unexpected regarding the stretch.
The effect is relaxing and indica-like, including a couchlock, not exactly what I look for in a sativa-dominant strain.
Welcome to my harvest report on my Francos lemon cheese!
She was described as a sativa hybrid with amazing genetics consisting of super lemon haze and exodus cheese.
I think that I had the indica/cheese-phenotype.
GROW:
She grew really short, with a symmetric amount of branches and they all had the same height.
Definitely a great strain for novice growers, as FLC loves LST and the branches are strong enough to hold those fat buds!
HARVEST:
The harvest was fun and easy, amazingly sized hybrid-buds, chunky and easy to harvest! She yielded 80 grams, which I’m really happy with, as the biggest yield in my last indoor grow was 64 grams!
I don’t know if it was just the greenhouse genetics yielding more or if I enhanced my growing skills...
SMELL: 8.5/10
The smell is kind of cheesy with lemon. It’s not a ‚bright‘ smell, but strong and intense.
TASTE: 8/10
The taste is pretty good and earthy! Can’t say that much about it, but it’s a good taste😊
BAG APPEAL: 9.5/10
The buds are extremely beautiful; thick, orange hairs are covering the resinous and huge buds. I needed to add this category to my harvest report because the bag appeal is always an important factor to me.
EFFECT: 7/10
There are definitely strains I prefer more regarding the effect.
I love strains which Are giving me a clear high, like Hawaiian snow or Dr. Grinspoon. Sometimes i like smoking trippy strains like lsd or tangerine dream, but FLC is something in between and so the effect is kind of confusing. Still it’s relaxing and locking you in your couch, but that’s not exactly what I’m looking for in a sativa-hybrid strain.
Don’t get me wrong, she’s an amazing strain for people looking to relax, both mind and body.
Furthermore the yield was superb for the short vegetation phase of just 5 weeks.
I hope to see you soon on my arjans ultra haze #2 diary!
