Seed put straight into soil (biobizz light) 4 days ago and popped up before I’d even thought to check, going down pretty much the same route as my stardawg adjusting techiniques to suit her as she grows. No nutrients yet, once the roots are established I’ll re-pot and start then.

I think I’ve had the lamp too far to begin with, that much stretch it couldn’t support itself. Set closer to the lamp and it’s pretty much supporting itself again and growing so fingers crossed she thickens up and it just makes it easier to train.

Transplanted into a 17l fabric air pot, the roots looked good and she’s held up well. No nutrients yet just 6.5ph water into bio light soil. Started lst.

Growing nicely, trying to keep the canopy even as she grows. Decided to make the fim cut whilst very high.... f*#cked up!!! She’s still growing so time will tell how badly I’ve done 😂 I’m tempted to top her but I’ll go with what I’ve done for now. No nutrients yet.

Kept on top of the lst, she’s not as easy to manipulate as the stardawg with being indica dominant everything’s a lot shorter and as a result I’ve ended up breaking off a good stalk 😭 I also went with the topping instead of the fim, no drama, still healthy. Had her first feed to help get things going for the transition into flower, very minimal as I believe the soil gives off enough for the size of her so far.

I’m thinking of using advanced nutrients big bud and bud candy on this one, does anybody else use these and have any advice/tips on using?

Hey friend, I think that they're all fairly similar and are definitely worth adding into the grow. I did a little research into multiple name brand bud enhancers and they all seem to consist of several comparable ingredients, some form of sugar(molasses, cane, agave etc.), humic/fulvic/amino acids, often a kelp extract, carbs, magnesium and some other "secret" ingredients. So whichever you choose, bud candy, sweet bembe, honey chrome, big bud etc you're going to get some similar results. Choose the company you are the most comfortable with or support and it won't lead you wrong. I'm a little biased to honey chrome, but BB and BC are both good from my grow friends who like advanced nutrients. 👍

So far so good, she’s taken all the abuse I’ve given her and she’s still vibrantly green and starting her stretch. Feeding low nutrients every other day at the minute, in the next week or two I’ll be adjusting them slightly for flowering. Removed a few little fan leaves to get the most from the lst, the canopy is perfectly even now bar one cola who’s just lagging behind slightly 👌🏻

She’s now set up in the tent where I’ve put in a homemade net to try and keep the canopy even, give each individual cola plenty of space and also for some support once she starts packing buds later on! Upped the nutes and started with big bud as well, she must have needed it as she was perky the next morning and had put on about an inch in growth. No signs of deficiency’s or overfeeding.

Everything seems to be going to plan, feeding every other day with a full feed then half feed and so on. Now have bud candy in the mix as well at half recommended dose. Her stalks seem very sturdy so fingers crossed for some heavy colas for them to support 💪🏻. Still keeping on top of the LST and removing the odd fan leaf to let light through the canopy, she just takes it like it’s nothing and bounces right back 👌🏻 The first little baby terps have appeared, when you rub a leaf and swell your finger it smells just like pineapple jelly baby’s 🤤😍 Flower production is now well under way and there seems to be plenty of them appearing 😁 I’d just like to add, the first feed with bud candy was yesterday and when I opened the tent today the smell was sweeter! I’d seen it on other diary’s so was curious to see it for myself. After looking at another diary of the same strain, and a very similar setup only they added an extra lamp in flowering and got a very good quality harvest. I’ve decided to do the same and throw another 250w lamp in that I used for the seedling to veg stage.

The past week she’s stopped stretching and started building buds, every morning it’s like there’s an extra sprinkle of trichomes all over the plant with the pineapple/perfumey smell getting stronger! Adjusted the nutrients slightly and added overdrive into the mix at just .5ml, I know it’s supposed to be for the last two weeks but I don’t see why she can’t benifit from it earlier. I’ve been using bottled water and with the nutes and additives the ph always ends up around 6.6-6.7 which see seems happy with. No signs of any kind of nutrient or light problems, her leaves have gone a nice deep green now and her stalks feel nice and sturdy.

Nothing much to say this week, pistils are starting to brown and she’s just busy building her buds and covering herself in trichomes 😁👌🏻 I’ve moved the lights a couple of inches closer to the canopy. No more defoliation just moving bits and pieces out the way here and there for maximum light penetration! Just impatiently waiting 😂

She stiiiiiinks! Very tropical and if you get close a kind of cheesy smell as well. She’s had a couple of big feeds and lower fan leaves are starting to yellow, on inspection with a microscope it looks like roughly 50% of the trichomes are cloudy so the flush will begin soon. Removed five fan leaves for air/light. Watering every day approximately 1l trying to keep the tent opening to a minimum to keep the humidity below 50%. 23/9. She’s started taking the nutes from lower fan leaves the past couple of days and there’s definitely more milky than clear trichomes so I’ve started the flush, with her being indica dominant I don’t want to let her get too many ambers, I want to experience her true effects! Also removed a few more fan leaves that were blocking light and air flow or drooping into the soil.

She’s almost there! Started the flush a couple of days ago, the runout measured at 766ppm on the first big flush, pictured above. Removed a few more fan leaves. She’s nearly fully milky now so I’m just watching her swell and keeping an eye on the trichs, I’m guessing another week left before I harvest, I’ve seen a lot of people let them dry out and leave them in 24hours of darkness before the chop so I think that’s what I’m going to try, any input on harvesting would be appreciated 👍🏻 Next update will be the harvest!

Taking a little longer than I thought, finally starting to see an Amber trichome here and there! I’m just waiting for the last of the clears to go milky and she’s done. Still flushing with ph6 bottled water, I’ve cut off a couple of tops to dry and try as there more done than the bottoms. I brown paper dried a bud I cut off a week ago and managed to have a bong of it yesterday and even not quite ready or cured she’s smooth and what I can only describe as a ‘heavy buzz’ and a tropical aftertaste 🤤I can’t wait to try her done! Next week will DEFINITELY be the harvest 😂

Happy Harvest Day!

The tester buds I cut away a week early were dried for 7 days at 60-70% humidity and cured in a jar at 62% for a few more days. The smell is tropical with a hint of cheese, I filled a bowl and had a big bong! WOW... the high comes on progressively starting with a bit of a buzz that just gets stronger as your body gets heavier, so uplifting yet relaxing at the same time, perfect before bed!

I really can’t pick fault, my second grow and first successful grow. She took all the abuse and my mistakes and just bounced right back, apart from right at the end after I cut off the tops for testers she produced a seed or two from what I can see, I’ve put a lot of stress on her so I put it down to that. Overall I will 100% be growing again!!! The only things I’d do different are less stress at the start (started lst too early) and give more nutrients. I’ll update with trimmed and dried buds in a weeks time, I trimmed a lot wet but the girlfriend helped with it and she wasn’t quite as detailed as me so there’ll be a bit more to trim 😂. Thank you barneys farm for producing a beaut of a strain 👌🏻 I was limited for time on the harvest so I have no wet weight and I wouldn’t like to guess! There not the densest of buds so I’m guessing once dry there’ll be 2 maybe 2 and a half ounce all together but I’ll weigh to be sure. They’ve dried too fast, tent dropped to 51% humidity. 57% humidity on the pic but up to 60 in one and 59 in the other so hopefully be ok! There was 3.7oz in total!!! Way underestimated! After a couple weeks of curing in jars at 60-62% humidity the smell and flavour is really starting to get strong! Tropical and musky. Smokes smooth and gets you STONED. Very pleased with it.

Trouble is you have a "sample" and the next thing you know you are justifiying the week early harvest..😂😂. Or is that just me.😱. Good work 👍

@Theia, that was a worry! But they’ve been drying a couple days and I miraculously still have patience to let them dry a little more 😂 I’ve put too much time and effort into her to harvest early! It was more to see the different effects as the trichomes mature. Thank you 🙏🏻
