Started these girls in Solo cups while I was building out my 12x8' grow room. They sat in my window for several weeks.

If you look close, after HST, I split the apical on three plants. May have gotten a little too aggressive. Doesn't seem to have affected them for now. I will Scott tape it if becomes unstable. Stay tuned for update.

Grow Questions

I am new to indoor Co2 use. Have new pressure gauge with flow meter and solenoid. When the tank runs out, the solenoid stays open, causing it to get very hot. Is this normal? I'm afraid if I left for a few days, it could catch fire.

I spoke with the grow shop where I purchased the Co2 flow meter. The owner stated that the solenoid will heat up when the tank runs out. Guess I will need to pay close attention. I am thinking about buying a tent and place it in my grow room. This will help contain Co2 longer. I currently only get about 10 days on a 30lb tank.

My 7 yr old Blue Cheese seed that was gifted to me has not been drinking as much as the others. I only had one old seed (1 popped out of 30 seeds I was given) and the rest are newly purchased. I have tried to keep them tied down to about 12 inches each. Split the stalk on two but did not seem to negatively affect them. In fact, those two are drinking to most water. Didn't do too well with developing my canopy. Honestly, I spent minimum amount of time in the room with them. 30lb Co2 take last about 10 days at 700-800 ppm. I have a 12ft x 8ft room and only using have of it at the moment. Thinking of building make shift, short wall around the tray to see if I can trap some of it for a longer period.

After weeks of slow, but steady growth, I am starting to see some stretch, going into week two of flower. I had kept all of the girls tied down to about 12 inches each. With the exception of two of the taller plants, I have released the others. My grow room is not set-up permanently. I had planned to make changes to the room based on what I learned from this grow. However, now it looks I may be moving to an entirely different location. This has all been very exciting for me. Growing and watching the plants put on size has offered a certain amount serenity in my life. Much love for my fellow growers. Stay safe.

I did heavy defoliation and lollypoping this evening. This is the beginning of week three of flower. I have had some difficulty keeping the soil moist. I was watering twice per week. Looks like we now need 3 or 4 waterings per week.

Added bloom booster for the first time. Can't wait for results. Temperature and humidity have been stable last two days. The stretch is over. I don't have a soil PH tester. It's on my list of future purchases. Two plants have not grown in weeks. They are blooming, but no stretch notes. I'm sure it is probably a nute lockout. This my first indoor grow and I have learn allot. Going to move grow site to the main house next time. Hopefully, I will have better control over environmental conditions.

Had to leave out of town for 8 days. My girls suffered both heat stroke and dehydration. I fed them and saturated the fabric pots. I also turned the dehumidifier off for the next 12 hours since the rain has slowed, for now. It doesn't look like the grew much this week. I'm afraid this is going to make the final weight significantly less than it would have been.

With a little attention and love, my girls have recovered. I don't see much girth but the are starting to stack. a few more weeks and they will be ready to cut down.

I brewed a tea in 3 gallons of ph'd water and fed every bit of it to them. Excited to see how they respond to this. Will check them tomorrow morning when I wake up. This will be the last feeding for the (4) Northern Lights. Just water ph'd to 6.5. The (1) Blue Cheese and the (3) Golden Leaves will get obe

Made a huge mistake on Saturday morning. I accidentally left the room light on. It was on for the entire 12 hrs of sleep. The 4 Northern Lights should be coming to an end in about a week or so. My jeweler's loupe just came in and I have not unpacked it yet. Will scope them tomorrow. All of the plants were fairly dry and I have been watering about every 48 hrs. I don't believe my soil mixture was light enough for best drainage. Will definitely make changes next grow. My climate still suffers from heavy moisture. Between hurricanes and record breaking heat, it's hard to catch a break. Next weeks update will determine exactly how much longer they have. Keep on growing!

I see 50% amber on some of the top buds. Mostly clear/cloudy on the rest. Probably have about two more weeks to go.
