Apologies for the late update on week 3 but here it is... All four of the Bruce Banner #3 Autoflowers have been doing great! This strain is vigorous and thriving in temperatures hovering in the low 80’s with a humidity level anywhere from 45-55%. I am still watering 3 litres every fourth day with air bubbled tap water at a PH of 6.5-6.8. Because of the grow medium being mostly organic this cycle, I am not using CalMag at this time and hopefully the plants will not need it moving forward. All four of the Bruce Banner #3 were topped during week 3- Plant A on day 17 and plants B, C & D on day 19. I have also been doing a lot of Light Stress Training (LST) as this strain has bounced back quickly from the topping and I can see the potential for opening the plants up to create bountiful bud sites throughout! The tallest plant has doubled in size during week 3 and the others aren’t far behind her so I would say that everything is looking great going into week four. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you for next week... please don’t forget to check the little box if you like what you see! 😎

Moms is back! I've found that soils that contain added Mycos usually come preinfested with fungus gnats. Since this is their food source. Just add water and they come to life. I don't know if they have it up there but I use a product called "mosquito bits"and cover the surface of my pots with them. They contain a special bacteria which kill them in the grub stage. Around week 4 I usually add a 1 inch layer of 1/8" to 3/16 pumice. The pumice drys fast and they don't like to lay eggs in dry substrate. That with the sticky traps keeps them at bay.

@Momgrowsthechronic, I'm in Florida so it's a bit seasonal down here so I usually buy a few of them. Not sure if there is a huge mosquito issue in Canada in the summer. Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies Israelensis is the species of bacteria. https://www.arbico-organics.com/category/bti-bacillus-thurengiensis-israelensis Not sure if Arbico ships to canada but they have a lot of organic solutions including nematodes.

@Philindicus, are "mosquito bits" a Canadian product or ? Not sure where you live and I can’t seem to find them anywhere in Canada. Thanx!

Good luck with the new grow. I have been making my own soil mixture and found the easiest way to control the gnats is with beneficial nematodes. Two treatments will take care of 'em. I use "em proactively and nip 'em in the bud. Peace

@Momgrowsthechronic, those are probably Pot Poppers. They have a few different kind depending on the pest. You want the one for fungus gnats..... Steinernema Feltiae (Sf). I have used that brand once before and work well. I currently use Biologics brand and use the sticky yellow cards as detectors to monitor numbers. It is more expensive but effective. Peace

@Smowkabowl, what brand of nematodes are you using please? I saw something at my local nursery and it was packaged in a round, plastic sphere. I will see if they still have them in stock asap. How do you apply the treatment?

@Cyrusdavirus, no worries! This grow has been uncompleted on my boards since last spring. Just wanted to finish out the diary so that it wasn’t showing as a current grow any longer.
