Apologies for missing the week 5 update, I was having some home renovations done and these ladies had to be tucked away for safety/security reasons. So just a quick recap- week 5 was a big deal for the Bruce Banner #3 plants as all four of them were moved out of the tent into a safe, sunny, outdoor location. I also amended all four plants with Gaia Green all organic slow time release fertilizer at 1/3 the full dose. So, instead of 3 tablespoons per gallon- I’m feeding 1 tablespoon per gallon because they’re auto’s and they’re not huge plants. Because they are now outside- it’s really hot and they are in fabric pots so I’ve had to drastically increase their water intake. They’ve gone from 1 gallon/4 litres to 5 gallons/20 litres when needed which is usually every 2nd-3rd day. Now tonnes of water seeps out of the fabric pots when bucket watering- thus the reason for really flooding them with a large volume of water. It’s the only way I can guarantee that the medium is fully soaked all the way through and before you know it- they’re bone dry again! Oh well, it’s more work but it’s free sunshine and the plants are loving it! Week 6 and all four plants are fully into flower now, this was the end of the flowering stretch and pure bud development/growth for these ladies. This strain has been strong and vigorous from day one and all four plants are packed with bud sites! There is resin production already and a sweet, skunky aroma throughout the day but strongest in the evening/overnight. I am happy and excited to see how this grow turns out and I look forward to checking in for the next update. Until then- enjoy this beautiful summer but stay healthy in the ongoing Covid craziness.

Moms is back! I've found that soils that contain added Mycos usually come preinfested with fungus gnats. Since this is their food source. Just add water and they come to life. I don't know if they have it up there but I use a product called "mosquito bits"and cover the surface of my pots with them. They contain a special bacteria which kill them in the grub stage. Around week 4 I usually add a 1 inch layer of 1/8" to 3/16 pumice. The pumice drys fast and they don't like to lay eggs in dry substrate. That with the sticky traps keeps them at bay.

@Momgrowsthechronic, I'm in Florida so it's a bit seasonal down here so I usually buy a few of them. Not sure if there is a huge mosquito issue in Canada in the summer. Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies Israelensis is the species of bacteria. https://www.arbico-organics.com/category/bti-bacillus-thurengiensis-israelensis Not sure if Arbico ships to canada but they have a lot of organic solutions including nematodes.

@Philindicus, are "mosquito bits" a Canadian product or ? Not sure where you live and I can’t seem to find them anywhere in Canada. Thanx!

Good luck with the new grow. I have been making my own soil mixture and found the easiest way to control the gnats is with beneficial nematodes. Two treatments will take care of 'em. I use "em proactively and nip 'em in the bud. Peace

@Momgrowsthechronic, those are probably Pot Poppers. They have a few different kind depending on the pest. You want the one for fungus gnats..... Steinernema Feltiae (Sf). I have used that brand once before and work well. I currently use Biologics brand and use the sticky yellow cards as detectors to monitor numbers. It is more expensive but effective. Peace

@Smowkabowl, what brand of nematodes are you using please? I saw something at my local nursery and it was packaged in a round, plastic sphere. I will see if they still have them in stock asap. How do you apply the treatment?

@Cyrusdavirus, no worries! This grow has been uncompleted on my boards since last spring. Just wanted to finish out the diary so that it wasn’t showing as a current grow any longer.
