I started 2 of these seeds in 5gal fabric containers mixed 50/50 with FFOF and used Promix ( and a bit of dolomite lime), This is the first time Iv'e ever grown this strain, I'm not a huge fan of auto-flowers but I had a pile of points at the seed bank and figured what the hell...I plan on finishing these right in the veg room, the flowering tent will be occupied so i'll be doing an 18/6 for the entire run unless of course they're suborn about flowering...Thanks for stopping by :)
(Day 8) Both progressing normally, receiving about a cap full of water every other day....
(Day 11) Gave a very mild feeding solution (approx 20% strength)
(Day 14) started training plant #1 and pulled the largest fan leaf off each to expose the centers of the plants
Plants seemed to be kinda squat so I switched to blue light only for now...they've been receiving a mild nutrient solution with every other watering...
These are officially the smallest autos I've ever seen showing bud sites..I'm praying for a little stretch this week, they're also too dark for my liking so we've switched to PH water only (they were getting almost nothing to begin with) to see if this helps...this is the first time flowering anything under the new LEDs, I might toss them in the tent to spend some time under the HID and see if this has any effect on their growth...
I switched to Grower's Choice Seeds about 3 years ago after our last vendor stopped US sales and we've grown 8-9 strains by them so far but these are hands down some of the worst plants I've seen in person..i might give them another week but if they don't start to grow they're getting tossed, space is very valuable here and i feel like by letting them finish we may have some diminished returns...typically I'd open a grow question but I'm saving it, knowing every autoflower requisite box is already checked, this is absolutely genetic...we have more seeds of this strain but they're definitely being gifted out..iv'e been wrong before and I'm hoping this is the case, I'll give them another week to stretch but if they don't they're probably going out to a field..
They've grown a few cm but not much more...there's been no explosive growth this entire run..different media, tried mixing up regiments on only 1, different lighting but no matter what both plants of this strain are exactly the same, very small and showed bud sites earlier than any auto I've ever grown
I can confidently say that this is the last time we grow autoflowers indoors (until the day comes that we have a larger space with room to spare) it's been a depressing go, I assume we're only looking at an OZ each (maybe) when finished (unless something drastic changes) It's just not worth sacrificing all that space for such a small return imo...I'm saving the rest of the seeds of this strain to plant outdoors next spring, where i assume they'll do much better...live and learn :)
Took a week off...they're looking no different than they have for the last 3 weeks...i have more seeds of this strain (same pack) and i'm putting some outside next season ...I'll upload photos to this diary to compare when the time comes because I'm dying to know if this is genetic or just user error.....this is the most pitiful run ...2 plants and MAYBE 2 oz's -_- ...probably wont do autos inside again until we get more space..
We pulled the girls last week at about 10% amber, we typically go longer but are eager to get the veg space back ...It was a very underwhelming yield (approximately 50 grams from 2 plants) but it smells/smokes absolutely beautiful...I'm not disappointed having 2oz of something this nice on the side to break the routine...I would never grow these indoors again however i'm not disappointed that we tried them out ...
Same here man. One of my sour kush auto flowers a bit early and doesn't give any explosive growth in veg at all.
The other one works pretty good, but doesn't seem to have ruderalis so I had to change the light schedule 12-12.
Pretty depressing autos for sure.
@BongRip, this is the absolute last time we're growing these inside, this run as confirmed some of my long standing autoflower biases ...we'll be lucky to get over 2oz from these plants .....in the same amount of time we could of easily gotten a QP from a few clones if they were given the veg space....Lesson learned, thankfully we're about 2 weeks away from a decent harvest with 2 more flowering about 3 weeks behind....we're saving the rest of the auto seeds for the next outdoor season...i may upload those pics to this same diary for an indoor/outdoor comparison...I love Grower's Choice seeds but i would never recommend this strain to anyone ..
@MaxBear yeah me either...these have to be the least impressive autos iv'e ever seen lol, they're both exactly the same size...i hope they stretch because i don't have much space in our veg area and i've already turned down some beautiful clones for them....Iv'e got only blue light on them (now) and it's a mile away so i'm not sure what the deal is :/
