Started germination in a damp paper towel on 6/12, all seeds cracked by 6/14. Transplanted into potting soil that day but realized it might be too compacted, so I carefully dug up the seedlings on 6/15 and transplanted into a loose mix of soil, peat, perlite, and vermiculite. I was worried this might stress them out and stunt them, but they all seem to be happy and healthy. ~24 hours of light with full sun in the window, and a 1000 lumen LED night light. Only giving a couple tablespoons of water, with a few drops per liter of Superthrive.

Started giving full daytime sun outside this week, and after noticing a burnt tip and curling cotyledons on Moby #1, I decided to transplant them into larger pots and leave them outside in their permanent homes. The pots are about 3.5 gallons. Soil is a mix of 33% Sta-green moisture control, 33% Miraclegro Peat Moss, and a 33% mix of Perlite, Vermiculite, and Coco Coir, with a bit of Blood Meal 13/0/0, Bone Meal 0/10/0, Worm Castings 5/5/3, and Espoma Garden-Tone 3/4/4 mixed in, mostly towards the bottom of the pot. Substrate choice was mostly made on cost, I was able to get 40cu feet of the Sta-green for $18 lol. Seems pretty good though, I'm just going to keep an eye on them getting nutrient burn. Soil ph is around 6, np is surplus, slightly less k in soil but still sufficient. I was going to DIY some fabric pots as well for the benefit of root pruning, but already had these pots laying around and felt these girls were gonna want more room to move pretty soon. And I figure if they become root bound and stay on the smaller side, it might benefit me in my neighborhood with discression. Watered with a custom tea when transplanting made from earthworm castings, superthrive, kelp me kelp you, molasses, and a small bit of rooting hormone, salicylic acid, Epsom salt. Ph about 6.

I've noticed one plant Widow #1 has a lot of holes in it's leaves, possibly earwigs because they're in the yard, although none have been around the plants as far as I can tell. Might possibly be burn from salts in the water being on the leaves. Nevertheless this is also the fastest growing plant out of the 6 so far. Used a lot of organic pesticides on the plants and in the surrounding area over the past week. Cotyledons on Moby #1 are basically completely dried up, unsure of the direct cause. But it's the second fastest growing plant of the bunch. Noticed a bit of yellowing on the newest growth, particularly Widow #2. Unsure why. I don't believe overwatering is an issue, since I'm watering every other day and not very heavily, allowing the top layer to dry between waterings. Any comments about a nutrient excess or deficiency would be appreciated. Overall I think these girls are doing pretty well. I welcome any comments and look forward to updating next week.

Noticed significant yellowing at the end of last week. I followed some sound advice that they were getting too much sunlight so I covered them in two layers of shade cloth. I didn't give them any water for 5 days due to the soil retaining a lot of moisture, and on Wednesday night I decided to mix in more perlite, bringing the mix up to around 30%. I then watered each with about 5oz of clean water in a ring around the plant. In less than 48 hours they're all looking a lot better, except for P#2 which looks to have been shocked quite a bit, I'm hopeful she can pull through. They're finally showing signs of growth again as well for the first time this week. And all are starting to show pistils. I knew better but still ended up making this rookie mistake of drowning my plants, both with my soil mix and my poor watering practice with these little seedlings. Learning as I go, I look forward to having a better update next week 👍

Everyone is growing and looking a bit better, some more than others, except for Moby #1 who's leaves are curling & drying up, I believe it's heat stress.. I've moved her pot. I also have some bug issues I'm working on, never seen anything near the plants but there's a lot throughout the rest of the yard & garden. I'm germinating a couple more seeds and am considering either a hempy bucket or dwc, due to the amount of insect damage I'm seeing with a soil grow in my yard. ... 7/12 Trimmed some lower leaves purple 2 and moby 1, plus all remaining cotyledons Mixed 2 liter water, a couple drops Superthrive, a couple drops kelp me kelp you, a couple drops fish emulsion, a small pinch Epsom salt, a fingertip rooting hormone powder, and roughly 2 tbsp hydrogen peroxide 3% Ph 6 Administered 4 tablespoons directly to the base of the 3 worst looking plants, M#1, P#2, and W#1 7/13 Stray cats jumped on shade cloth, bent down a few plants. Damaged the healthiest leaf of P2, had to cut part of it off. Hope the plant can survive. Watered all plants in the evening with 4 tbsp mixture 7/15 Watered all with 6 tbsp mixture at base evening, watered in a circle around plants as well 12 tbsp water 7/16 Watered all with 4 tbsp mixture at base evening, watered in a circle around plants as well with 12 tbsp water

This week everyone is looking a lot healthier and starting to show some faster growth. Just gonna let the pictures tell their story, and post my notes. I look forward to next week's update 🤘 ... 7/18 Morning watered 2oz same mixture as last week. 7/19 Mixed up some nutrient water for this week: 2.5 gallons water, 4 tbsp h2o2, 1.5 tbsp fish emulsion, kelp and superthrive (maybe 1 tsp between the two or less, some Epsom salt & bonemeal. PH 6.5 Evening, watered 4oz in a circle around plants, plus 2oz at base. 7/20 Pulled off the shade cloth on all but M#1 so the plants can get full sun. Watered 4oz directly at base. 7/21 Evening, watered 8oz directly at base, and 8oz around the outer pot. 7/22 Evening, bent down the two biggest plants W#2 and M#2, height before was 4.5" and 5.5" respectively. 7/23 Morning, added a bend closer to the base of both plants. Slight kink/hst. 7/24 Made another nutrient solution for the next week, going to alternate between this and ph water. Similar to last batch but slightly stronger, no h2o2, with the addition of ammonium sulfate and muriate of potash. Watered all with 16 oz in the morning.

This week things are really starting to take off, the tallest plants are now 10", and all are in flower. Faint scent from all of them. The two plants I bent down however, M#2 & W#2, are both showing hermaphrodite signs with male flowers , maybe due to the stress of the LST, idk. I removed the pollen sacs after taking the pictures. Still watering every other day, but starting to water a bit more gradually, and used some microbe brew with one watering. Gonna add watering notes below. 7/26 Morning, watered 16oz nutes (see last week) 7/28 Morning, 16oz ph 6.5 water 7/30 Morning, 32oz ph 6.5 water+10ml microbe brew

Good growth this week, simple lst mainly just to reduce height. Working on a mild mildew problem, and a nitrogen excess. And lots of pistils turning brown. Other than that everything seems to be going fine. 8/1 Morning, watered 32oz water ph6 mix with nutes (amounts diluted to about 10gal): microbe brew(20ml),kelp extract(2tbsp), fish emulsion (2tbsp) 8/2 Morning, watered 32oz nutes ph6.5 8/3 Evening, bent all plants over lst. Watered 32oz ph6.5 water with small amount microbe brew, Epsom salt, and alaska morbloom 8/5 Evening watered all plants 40oz water ph6.5, microbe brew 10ml/gal Soaked all plants with garden safe insecticide, insecticidal soap, and Monterey bt worm killer 8/7 Evening watered all plants 80oz clean water ph6.5 because lots of leaves are showing nitrogen excess (dark green, curling.) Wiped all plants off with damp paper towel because of white mildew.

Plants are looking good, nitrogen and mold problems have resolved. It doesn't seem like they're going to get much larger, which must have been due to the problems they had early on with overwatering 🤷‍♂️ 8/9 Evening, watered all with 48oz clean water ph6.5, pruned some of the small lower growth on each plant 8/10 Morning, water 16oz clean water 6.5 8/12 Evening, water 80oz clean water 6.5 8/14 Morning, water 16oz clean water 6.5

Lazy with the pictures this week, just one family photo. The only plant still showing bud development is P#2, both purple haze plants are showing a lot of yellow leaves so I'm assuming this strain is more nitrogen hungry than the white widow and moby dick(which is a widow cross.) M#1 is ready for harvest(all milky, maybe 3-5% amber), M#2 looks very close as well (mostly all milky, very little amber, very little clear.) I think I'm going to harvest both of them this evening or tomorrow. 9/05 Evening, sprayed all plants off with the hose. Watered 96oz water ph6.5, ppm 280, 1tbsp Epsom salt, 5tbsp B1(& chelated iron, zinc, manganese) X5gallons 9/10 Evening, watered 80oz clean water 6.5ph Both purple haze plants have a lot of yellow leaves. Moby #1 is probably ready.
