Germination stage - Started germinating this girl with the paper towel method on 2 July and just waiting for the taproot to show. Checked her out today and the shell is slightly cracked but no taproot yet. Hopefully tomorrow she’ll be ready to go into her 3 gallon fabric pot.
Day 1 - Going to go ahead and call today day 1, gonna see actual seed to harvest time and the taproot was out so placed her in a 3 gallon fabric pot and into the tent. Humidity is sitting around 65% right now but still going to keep a glass over top to give her that extra bit until she’s out of the soil and helmet is off.
Day 2 - She’s up and out of the soil but waiting for her to shed her helmet so just sprayed her a bit to get the shell nice and moist and hopefully it’ll be off tomorrow.
Day 3 - Her helmet has finally popped off and she’s opened and reaching for the light now. Can see her first set of true leaves starting to form so now I’ll keep close eye on her the next couple of boring weeks while she does her root work.
Day 4 - Nothing much new today. She definitely stretched a little bit and her first set of leaves a bit bigger. Gave her a little spray of water and covered her back up with the glass.
Day 5 - Nothing new to report today, she seems to be doing just fine and first set of leaves are looking good. Decided to take the glass off of her to let the wind from the fan hit her a little bit and I’ve got the humidity sitting around 65-75%. I did give her and the soil a light spray of water as well.
Day 7 - The end of the first week since the taproot has shown and all seems to be well. Not much to really speak of but I sprayed her with a bit of water today and just sprayed enough to keep the top of the soil damp.
