- 2nd grow ever!! 🎉🎉 Alien Vs. Triangle F2 by Mephisto Genetics
- Straight Happy Frog Soil, 5 gallon Spring Pot (freebie/sample from hydro store), 300W Galaxyhydro LED
- Will use Advanced Nutrients Organics; Iguana Juice, Iguana Bloom, and Big Bud Organic
- Got free samples to try from Roots Organic and Mammoth P
- Used Mephisto's germ method for first time; toilet paper, DVD, wrapped in shirt, left under router. Will use this method again!
- Just pH'd tap water the first week
- Looks great, can't wait to see growth in the next couple weeks
- Got new phone and lost a couple pics I had from the week
- New growth pushing through, thought she'd be further a long by now but she looks good
- Watered 2.5L, decided to give 1mL of Trinity. Will be using through grow
- Thinking of giving 1/4 dose of Iguana Juice Grow next watering
- Still trying to figure out best dinstance to place light. Following manufacture's guidelines but want to find that sweet spot
- Unexpected cold weather came through this week. Brought low humidity and temp
- Week 3 should bring in lots of new growth
- 2.5mL water this week. Decided to add 1/4 veg nutes. Thinking if going 1/2 dose next watering.
- Scratch LST, will see how she naturally grows out. Will still defoliate
- Gives off a slight smell at times
- Growing and green 🌱
- Still stretching!! Almost 7" of growth since last week
- Full flower mode any day
- Extra lite defoliating, bit of leaf tucking
- She's a beast, looking great!!
- Contemplating on a pre flower flush; should or shouldn't? I'm in Happy Frog soil, used a tiny bit of organic Iguana Juice Grow and organic Trinity during veg
- 2 gallons/8L of water this week. Started a small dose of Bloom nutrients and Mammoth P. Will alternate plain pH water and nutrient water
- She's grown tall, almost worried the current closet space won't be enough. May have to reconfigure light fixture.
- Lite aroma, can't pinpoint smell
- Very open structure. Been defoliating just a tiny bit and leaf tucking, not much to be done
- She's a beast!! Can't wait to see her end results, thinking halfway there!!
- 8L of water this week
- Added Big Bud Organic from Advanced Nutrients to bulk up
- Added about 1/4 amount of recommended nutrients. Extra lite bit of leaf tip burn
- Slacked this week, wasn't charting growth. Just made sure light wasn't too close, going by manufacturer's recommendations
- Growing well
- 8L of water this week
- Stuck with giving a little over a 1/4 amount of nutrients. Watered twice, once was just plain pH'd water
- Cut out Trinity nutrient this week, not sure if I'll bring it back in, felt like I was just adding too much different nutrients.
- Frosting up nicely
- Still a weak smell, smells sweet at times
- Only watered one time this week, 4L of just plain pH'd water. I rotate water with nutrients, and plain water
- Broke a branch, shirt fell on it. Just taped back up, branch still alive 👍
- Worried my buds aren't fattening up. Hoping she plumps up the next couple weeks.
- Almost seems like not much growth from last week
- Plant seems healthy and happy
- Pistils starting to turn dark orangey
- Watered twice. 4L with nutrients, 4L plain pH'd water
- Smells of sweet, floral, honey suckle, dank
- Frosty and sticky icky
- Thinking she only has a couple more weeks
- On the look out for amber trichs
- Planning water only from now on
- Been slacking on the updates
- Just plain water this week and last, she's been fading nicely. Purple hues popping
- Dealing with low humidity, about 30% RH, and higher temps with warmer weather outside, reaches up to 81°F mid day
- Looking out for those amber trichs, harvesting soon!
She was a good second grow for me. Wish I could have gotten her a bit more plumped and stacked but still trying to figure this out. Maybe my light isn't as great or humidity could be better, strecthed her too much even. Healthy easy plant to grow. Didn't need very much nutrients, stayed nice and green all the way. Lots of trichomes, super frosty buds! Been curing for 2 weeks, harvested at day 82. Would have let her go a few more days but had to leave for a trip. Haven't tried yet. My partner tried it and loved it, thought it was top quality smoke, clean burn as well. Will give it another week before I try.
Still trying to get the basics down- light distance, humidity etc. I've got a new set up for my third grow, can't wait to get it all out togther. A tent and an AutoCob to step it up a bit. Will use Mephisto's/GBD super soil mix on the next grow so look out for that!
Nice progress this week! She looks very healthy. I love that you play music for your plant! I always have music going in my grow space, plus I'm always singing to mine while I'm in there working on them. They love the vibrations and extra CO2.
@1plant_closetgrow, Check out some of BudKingGrow's journals. He uses one. We talked about the beer part of it since I was a homebrewer a long time ago. I worked a lot with yeast. You might be able to do a search using carbon dioxide as a filter.
@1plant_closetgrow, You could use a yeast and sugar mixture to create carbon dioxide. I would recommend dry malt and beer yeast from a home brew store then a wide mouthed container. Use warm water to completely dissolve the dry malt, then once your mixture is cooled, add the beer yeast. The wide mouth is great for the budget friendly because you will get a lot of carbon dioxide production due to the large amount of surface area. There are products on the market that will send your gas to parts of the grow house, but this is a cheap method and it will produce a lot of carbon dioxide. You could also look into a more Erlenmeyer Flask option, and put a pre-drilled stopper in the top. Then you could use aquarium tubing and an airstone to send your gas where it is needed.
She is very frosty! You can see the fade in the yellowing leaves and purple stems, especially since you are only feeding plain water. It shouldn't be long now. Gratz! She is going to be a great harvest for you.
Nice update! Buds are looking nice and full compared to your photos from a few weeks ago. Start checking your pistils. You had a few amber ones on the bud shot.
That's a neat camera that you used to take take the close ups of your sugar leaves. How was that done? I can't get that close with my camera.
@1plant_closetgrow, haha bro I got the same phone :'D and the same LED hahaha what a coincidence. Which setting do you put it on to get that much of a zoom??
@Quexos, yep most pistils are amber now. Looking for amber trichomes now, most are just cloudy.
Just my camera phone, I have a 1+ from Korea. I shoot when LED lights are off. Just have my closet light on, and flash on camera. Try to focus and zoom a bit. I take at least 5 photos at a time
Nice bud growth for the week. Everything looks really good. I can't really say anything about the buds getting a ton bigger. Maybe look at other grow journals that are growing the same strain. That way you can see similar plants in the same stage of flowering. I like your feeding schedule. Just keep on eye on her! She looks great!
@1plant_closetgrow, That's why I really like grow journals. You can keep track of your grow from week to week. It keeps a record for future grows, and it allows you to compare your grow to similar grows. I would've kept a journal anyway, but this is a great format!
This grow is going to turn out fine, but your next grow is going to be killer!
@Quexos, thanks! I've checked out a few different diairies and their buds look a lot more plumped up. The others are def more experienced, and I may have stretched her out too much for the buds to connect/stack. This one's a light feeder. I don't like having to add so much different nutrients. Trying super soil next grow
@Quexos, yes, I wanted to keep it as simple as possible as well so tried to just stick with basic nutrients. I got a lot of free samples, but don't like adding so much different nutrients etc at a time. Would like to eventually just use super soil
@1plant_closetgrow, I've used Big Bud and Bud Candy for my grow. I don't know if it does anything either. I know the nutrients in the bottles are important for flowering because I looked them all up to see what they did, but I honestly couldn't say they are doing anything. My plants look really healthy, and it gives me something to do while I'm messing around in the grow tent, but if I were on a tight budget I might stick to the basics: A good soil, a good base grow nute, and a good base flower nute.
@Divs_darkroom, I've been using "Big Bud Organic" by Advanced Nutrients the past couple weeks, but doesn't seem like it's done much. She's been nice and green the whole way, got slight tip burn so I didn't up the feed, stayed about about a 1/4 of recommended because of that. Gonna try super soil on my next grow and skip the liquid nutrients. Thanks for checking in!
@1plant_closetgrow, Nice new pictures. You have great growth going on right now. You can clearly see the pistils. You might want to switch to a flowering nute. All of her energy needs to go into the big fat buds!
@MaseII, hey, you're welcome! Thanks for checking it out! I do consider this strain low odour, she smells great but she doesn't stink! Sometimes I have to sniff for her in the room, but she's there
Hi bro , here’s a tip for next time , when the seedling is small keep the light a bit closer to stop it stretching , then the plants are more compact , helps to stop snapping 👍
Looking good. Nice healthy plant. Flowers are coming in nice. Be careful, she's really stretchy and can continue to grow into flower. But she does take well to lst and supercropping if need be.
@TheOutlawBubbaKush, thank you for checking it out! She's huge for the space I have her in. Will be fun to see how tall she'll get. Only my second grow and wanted to see the plant more in it's natural state. Plan to LST on future AVT grows
