Light dimmed to 45W Using Westland jacks magic all purpose compost (90% peat) as the medium 25% worm castings 40g Thomas Elliot fish blood and bone. NPK 5-5-6 20g Westland seaweed enhanced. NPK 3.6-4.8-1.4 20g epsom salt 20g remin volcanic rock dust. and a small handful of vermiculite I think I was giving the plants too much light that’s what was causing me problems on my other plants. So I’ve reduced the light schedule from 24hrs to 18hrs and intensity from 70w to 50w for a better daily light integral (dli).

Ordered a tent. Hope it gets here soon. Space is getting tight New tent arrived on thursday (day 32). Increased light to 100w”. Tried 130w but think it stressed the plants. Added 30ml of wood ash of day 34

Tied the main cola down at the start of the week. Thought it might be too late but she seems to be responding well. Day 38: Top dressed with 8g of sulphate of potash Struggling to keep the temp and humidity down it was hitting 29c. Dehumidifier reduced the humidity from 65 to 55%. Day 40: Bought a CO2 monitor. Only venting into my room atm. With the window partially shut and me in the room CO2 is 1000+ ppm so reduced the height to 12 inches, approximately 700 ppfd which equals 45.36 daily light integral (DLI). When i'm not in will increase the light height to aprox 500 ppfd (32.4 DLI).

Although most autos are done between week 9 and 10, it is not always like this. I have personally seen autos finish in 8 weeks and 12 weeks, and everything in between. Just let id to its thing, it is already flowering. Also some trainings can delay flowering, like TOPing, defoliation, etc.

Is defoliating an auto strain in week 8 too risky or is the plant likely to recover?

You could maybe take a few leaves, over the next week, without too much setback, but I really wouldn't recommend it with how far she's into flowering. - If you absolutely have to do it, don't take more than a single leaf a day, preferably 1 every second day. What I'd recommend instead, is harvest her in stages later on. So you take the branches that are ready, and let the rest grow, and continue till you're satisfied they're all done. That'll probably give you a better yield than starting defoliation at this point in time.
