I am starting this diary now but seeds were planted May 22. 4 x Sweet tooth Auto seeds that I got from my first grow cause the plant was stressed. Seeds were germinated in paper towel. 2 seeds put directly in final fabric pots with Biobizz lightmix and 2 in small pots planning to transplant in richer soil later. This was kinda my experiment to see how transplant will affect growth. I am planning to do a combination of indoor and outdoor for this grow. Wanna try to put them outdoor in the morning and indoor when sun goes down aiming for 18-20 hours of light. Also in the first picture you can see small flowering plant. That is also a hermie seed that sprouted from soil from my first grow outdoor on balcony in winter conditions. It was windowsil grow and I got few grams out of that.

I am going on summer vacation next week for 2 weeks and will have someone water them. They will not be leaving a tent during this time so I decided to add a scrog but I don't know how I feel about it. Every time I added a scrog net I was kinda disappointed. Defoliation was done to expose as many bud sites as possible cause no one will be touching canopy during the next 2 weeks. Healthy green leaves will be used for teas. For what do you guys use healthy defoliated leaves? Watering was 3 times this week: Nutes / Water+Molasses / Nutes. There was a slight nitrogen deficiency that I am trying to correct with stable 3 m/l doses of BioGrow and am planning to up the Bloom dosage to 4 m/l if needed during the time away. Also, I noticed that definitely 2 plants that were in final pots grew around 25% bigger then the transplated ones. I started them on nutes sooner cause they were planted in BioBizz Light mix and other two in richer soil for final pot, definite beginner mistake right there from me not feeding them a bit more earlier. But seeing as they are hermie seeds I didn't want to stress them and right now after 8 weeks there is no balls. pink stems are only rare so I am very happy with that. For the next grow I need to label them with names from day one. Big mistake not doing this and when I finally started it was with piece of paper and a clamp. Poor choice. If there is no nutrient burn next feed is supposed to be bio-grow and bio-bloom 3 m/l

I removed scrog before leaving in case friend will need to remove them from the tent to deal with spidermites. They backed out a little after spraying with 1:9 alchocol and water solution with a bit of soap. I would like to try spinosad but can't find it in my country.(EU). I will try to buy that so I can use it in a week when I will be back home. In some pictures you can see ladybug doing the work. Humidity is very high last few days and I left it so spider mites don't have perfect conditions. Dehudimifier dropped it at the end of this week and will try to keep it mid 60s at the least.

Spidermites detected in flowering. Still no webs forming on buds but there is small damage on leaves. I have neem oil but don't wanna ruin my buds with bad smell and heard neem is toxic to humans. Rosemary essential oil maybe? I will be washing the buds at harvest.

Week 10: 7 days passed after I left. Friend watered them yesterday with 10 l of 1600 ppm and 6.5 ph water with nutrients. Battle with spidermites is going well. I am not worried anymore and am confident plants will be ok when I will be back at the end of this week. Spraying with 1/9 iso and water proved effective so spraying was done second time on most affected plant. ( Lower left in the tent.) There is still no webs and I am told that that their population is decaying. Also third fan was added in most affected area to circulate the air even more. Buds grew a lot looking by the pics I recieved so I guess they are not affecting grow by much. Second issue was humidity being high last week so dehudimifier is working to keep it in 60s or lower from now. Third issue is the heat that went even to 32 C last week and I can't do a lot about it . I will need to have AC in the future but not possible at the moment. I knew that this will be problematic so few weeks ago mounted LED driver outside the tent. It helped a lot. Now temps stay similar to outside temp range so I just hope for max temps not going over 30 C outside as it seems plants are doing fine in this range. I was back home on the last day of this week. I guess my friend that has been keeping care of them didn't tell me true situation cause of no expirience. There was tons of spidermites webs on lower part of plants. Main stem, soil and lower budsites was affected. All the leaves have damage also. I did heavy defoliation and sprayed the plant first with iso :water 1:10 and then sprayed with tons of water. It looks much better now and I will try to keep them in check until harvest that should be in one or two weeks. Everything that can go wrong went wrong this week starting with temps, watering, humidity( at least there is not mold still) and lighting schedule that was reduced to 12 hours to control temps. Now that I am back I am trying to solve all these issues ASAP. Tent was relocated to try to stay in less then 30 C range and to go back to 18-20 hours of light. I am very dissapointed cause it was my best grow yet until I went on summer vacation and detected spidermites. But it is a learning experience.

Week 11: I am having a war with those ugly motherfuckers every single day. Spraying them off and vacuuming them off the leaves but they are relentless. Also trying to keep humidity in check, It is a bit high but ventilation is good enough I guess. I am running dehumidifier outside the tent in the room but it raises temps. Definitely need to invest in good AC that I can put on schedule and be done with it. The plan is to battle spider mites until harvest and try to keep them in check. This is my third grow and every time it's hard to know when the plant is ready to harvest. Those genetics should be 7 weeks of flowering so this should be last week before the chop. I am taking pics and I see mostly cloudy with a bit of clear and on some spots lots of ambers. I'll be using the same setup for drying so can't have a partial harvest. Planning to wash buds after harvest and currently researching the best way to do so. If I decide to chop this week I'll give them 48 hours of darkness before the weekend. I have decided to wash the plants with hydrogen peroxide mixed with water and then spray to clean with water. Day after I harvested plants and began drying process. A little bit early but this week temps dropped so I decided to dry now in cooler conditions. I am hoping the rest of spider mites walk upwards to the stem and drying to last more then 4 days aiming for 7.

I have decided to harvest a little bit early so spider mites don't come back and the weather is favorable for drying this week. After the chop, I also did bud wash with 3 buckets: 1. 5 gallons of water and a cup of lemon juice and a cup of soda bicarbonate 2. Warm water 3. Coldwater There were tons of nasty stuff left in water. After washing I left them to dry under a fan and shook them off to remove as much water as possible and then put back into the tent to dry with a dehumidifier and outtake on with 2 oscillating fans NOT pointed at the plants. Humidity is currently around 55%. After the first day of drying, I realized I will not be able to control good conditions in my tent for drying so I moved the plant to hang dry in the climatized room for a second day. During the second day, I trimmed buds and removed stems and then put them in brown paper bags to slow down the drying process. After 2 days of drying buds now weigh around 240 g, Humidity spiked to 87% outside on the third day and I had to constantly run A/C and a dehumidifier to keep the room at around 20 C and barely 55-60 % humidity. Grew tired of this so I tried something new from the third day. It's called Lotus curing and drying and works with any frost-free fridge. I put brown paper bags with buds inside the fridge at around 7-12 C and the humidity in the fridge is around 40-50%. I also have temperature and humidity probe in one brown paper bag so I can react if it dries to fast. Humidity is hovering around 70-80% currently and my plan is to manipulate humidity inside the fridge by opening it, adding moisture, or regulate temp so humidity drop as slow as possible. When it hits less than 72% when tested outside the fridge in the room temps I will start normal curing process in jars. After a week of drying in the fridge, jars are in the drawer curing right now. I sample tested one Dynavap bowl and flavor is decent with the sweet scent but it still needs a bit more time to be perfect. High was the same as my first Sweet tooth grow, the main thing I felt after finishing Dynavap bowl was calm and relaxed with time slowing down.

Do you think this is a better position for carbon filter so it can have better airflow or is it more important to scrub air from the top and have 2 90 degree bends? I'll probably try this in my next grow. Pic with drying plants is setup from before with 2 90 degree bends.

Whaaaat Athos, tell me you didn't just sugest he sets up the filter outside! The filters were engeneered to work thru suction, if he sets it outside he will need to use it the other way around, rendering the filter ineffective, so that was a big NO NO. You are right about the top air being hotter, you should set the exhaust outside to leave enough room for the filter to sit right at the top (but inside the tent). Other than that everything is perfect, with this quick change you will have it 100% efficiency! Good luck growmie, and wish you bushy monter grows. Stay lit.
the end.
