Red Poison

Germinating - Just started germinating in a paper towel and ziplock and 99% of my seeds have germinated in 24-48 hours so hopefully by Saturday, she’ll be ready for the dirt. Day 1 - So today the taproot was out almost a half and inch and she was placed into her 3 gallon fabric pot and now just waiting for her to come up through the soil. Day 2 - So far so good, not quite out of the soil yet but she’s starting to do expecting her to be up tomorrow. Day 3 - What a difference 24 hours makes, she went from barley scratching the surface of the soil to being out and gorgeous. Just gave her a light mist of water today and sprayed the inside of the glass to keep the humidity up pretty high. Day 4 - Looking good and shooting up like a rocket. If she stretches to much more tomorrow, I’ll lower the light just a bit. Gave her and the soil a light spray of water today and still keeping the glass over her for the higher humidity. I’ll probably keep that on her for another day or two and then keep it off since the humidity in the tent is around 70%. Day 5 - She definitely did some more stretching over the last 24 hours so went ahead and lowered the light a bit to keep her from getting out of control. Other than that it’s sprayed her and the soil a bit with water and removed the glass since the humidity is high enough in the tent. She’s looking very good overall. Day 7 - The end of week one and so far so good. She’s not having any major stretching issues since I lowered the lights. I might end up putting a little more soil in the pot to shorten her a little. Gave her a little bit of water a few inches outside of the main stalk.

Day 8 - Starting week 2 and she’s looking good so far. I am gonna add a little soil to the pot so I can get rid of some of the lengthy stem. Other that that I gave her a nice light spray of water. Day 9 - Went ahead and added a little bit more soil to the pot to try and get her a little shorter and sturdier. Other than that, gave her another spray of water and just letting her do her thing. Day 10 - Nothing major to update today, she looks nice and healthy and developing nicely. Sprayed her a bit with some water and the top layer of soil as well. Day 11 - Still going good and didn’t have much to do with her today. Gave her a little spray of water and took some updated pictures. Day 12 - Gave her about 100ML of water about 3-5 inches around her. Other than that, she’s doing good and doing her thing. Day 13 - Nothing much new today and didn’t do much with her but give her just a bit of water and took her out for some updated pictures.

Day 16 - Into week 3 now and so far so good. She was looking a little “week” because I had some family in town and didn’t get as much time with her but gave her a bit of water today so hopefully she’ll strengthen back up now. Day 18 - It might be a bit early and she’s still young but I did start LST and pretty much turned her down about 90 degrees and used a garden staple to put her down and we’ll see how she adjusts to it. I’ll probably have to give her a decent drink of water tomorrow. Day 19 - Gave her a little bit of water and light dose of nutes today. She’s recovered pretty well and is turned back towards the lights. I went and raised the lights a bit to try and get her to grow and stretch a bit now that she’s developing. Day 20 - Overall she’s doing pretty good and not a whole lot going on with her other that I tied her back down again. Gave her a little bit of water today as well.

Day 22 - Starting week 4 today and gave her a bit of water and light nutes. Overall looking good but not very big at the moment but hopefully she’ll start taking off here soon. Having a hard time keeping the tent as cool as I’d like it so might be what’s slowing her growth but still doing well overall. Day 23 - Still looking good but think I’m going to up the intake of water a bit tomorrow. She’s barely been getting 100ML but think I need to at least double it and see how she handles it. I did tie her down again to open the lower growth up a bit. Day 24 - All looking good and she’s already starting to shoot out a few pistils so hoping she’ll be hitting the growth spurt soon. Figured I needed to up the water so gave her the first watering until runoff today so got about 1 gallon of water pH’d to 6.7. Day 25 - She’s looking quite a bit better today and thinking maybe giving her a real drink of water yesterday might of helped. I ended up tying down a lower branch as it’s finally starting to get a little growth going and removed a couple big fan leaves so now all lower growth should be getting plenty of light. Definitely starting to show some pistils and hoping she’ll take off now that she’s opened up. Day 26 - Looks like she’s finally starting to get some good growth going so I went and tied the main stem down again and she’s opened up quite a bit to the light. Will definitely need some more water already tomorrow. Day 28 - She seems to really be taking off now. She’s stretched quite a bit and she side and lower branches are starting to get some height to them now. She was dry and pretty thirsty so gave her a gallon of plain pH’d water today, next will be a feeding of nutes.

Day 30 - Into week 5 and calling this the first official week of flower. She’s definitely started to explode a bit with growth so I continued the LST a bit and gonna let her go a bit for now. I did tie down the main stem again to try and get the canopy as even as possible. She’s already starting to show her red/purple colors and look forward to see it as she gets further along. Day 31 - She’s already turned back up to the light after tying her down again last night. She’s really starting to show her colors now and she’s getting close to her first feeding of bloom nutes. Thought she’d be ready today but still needs another day or two before she’s ready. Day 32 - All is still good, she’s finally starting to stretch a bit and get a bit bigger. It will probably be another few days before she gets her first feeding, the soil is still pretty wet. The damn colors on this thing are already amazing and she’s just starting to flower. Day 33 - Nothing major to update today, all looks good and she’s almost ready for some water and nutes but not quite yet. Day 34 - Her pot is pretty much dry so giving her one more day and will give her the first feeding of nutes tomorrow. Other than that, I’m just watching the colors shine. Day 35 - The end of another week for this girl as well and she’s looking great. Very spaced out so all sides of her are getting good light. She finally got her first feeding of bloom nutes today so we’ll see how she’s doing tomorrow.

Day 37 - Into the beginnings of week 6 and nothing much to speak of right now. I did tie down most of her branches again because they were starting to get pretty lengthy and want to try and keep everything as even as possible. Day 38 - All in all looking good and did a little more LST with her but some of the upper leaves are hanging low and think it’s due to the heat. I’m doing what I can to get it as cool as I can but can’t seem to get it below about 82 when lights are on. Temps are supposed to be cooling down around here in a couple days and hopefully she’ll be better but if not, I might change everything to lights off during the day and on at night. If by the end of this week it’s not cooler, I’ll change the schedule up. Day 39 - All seems to be ok, just trying to beat the heat for hopefully, a few more days. She’s still good on water and won’t probably need any for a few more days. Day 40 - Getting a little worried about this girl, she’s definitely not liking the heat and I’m hoping it’s not screwing her but it is finally cooling down and bit so hopefully she’ll perk back up. She’s finally ready for some water tomorrow but I’ll have to look back at my notes and see if she’s ready for nutes or another plain water. Day 41 - Still not looking all that great but gave her 2 gallons of plain pH’d water today so hoping that maybe that’s all she needs to perk her up. Hoping it’s not too late for her.

Day 43 - Starting week 7 and she seems to be doing a little better after a watering the other day but still not great. I’m sure I’ll still get something out her but hopefully she’ll start fattening more now that the temps are cooling down a bit. I will definitely be growing this strain again but will do it during the winter months so I don’t have to worry about heat too much. Day 44 - She’s looking a bit better today but still not as happy as I’d like her to be. Gonna do what I can to salvage as much of her as I can, should still get a decent harvest, I’m hoping. Day 45 - Not much happening with her right now, she does seem to be putting on a little bit of weight but still not much. I’ll get what I can out of her but I definitely did something to mess this grow up. Day 46 - Went back through my journals and notes and noticed that she’s only gotten one feeding of bloom nutes since she’s started flowering and thinking that could be some of her issue. She is looking better, not perfect, but better and she was ready for water so went ahead and gave her 2 gallons with nutes at full strength. We’ll see how she’s doing tomorrow. Day 47 - She’s doing good since giving her a feeding of nutes yesterday. She seems to be filling in a bit and looks like some of the middle growth is actually starting to stretch and grow a bit. Gonna continue to keep an eye on her and try and make the best of it. Day 48 - Another day gone by and still not much new. She is starting to build up a little bit but no sure how she’s going to finish up. She is still early in her life right now so hopefully I can get the ship righted and fatten her up. She does have a very sweet berry smell so that’s a plus right now. Day 49 - The end of week 7 and she still could be looking a lot better but she’s doing better than she had been. Still another couple of days before she needs any water and just letting her go for now.

Day 50 - Starting week 8 and she’s as good as she can be right now. After reading some advice I may be giving her too much water so gonna slow down how much I give her from here on out. Even though this girl won’t produce as much as I’d like, I’ll still get something and will be growing another one soon. Day 52 - She still seems to be doing ok right now and the leaves are starting to fade a bit so will probably give her another round of nutes in the next couple of days but it might be too little to late for this girl. Day 53 - She’s starting to put on a bit of weight now. All her bud sites are all starting to lean over so might have to start using the yo-yo’s to keep her propped up. She’s just about dry so she’ll get some water tomorrow. Day 54 - She’s still doing good right now and gave her about half a gallon of water and nutes today. She still seems to be fattening up on a few of the buds but some are still pretty fluffy. She’s still pretty young right now so holding out hope that she’ll beef up, though I’m not seeing much more pistil development but all her trichs are still clear with a couple cloudy mixed in there. Day 55 - All still going well but nothing much to speak of right now. She took well to the watering yesterday and just took her out for some updated pictures and such.

Day 57 - Starting week 9 and she’s still fattening up. Not going to be a heavy producers due to some errors on my part but from the smell and looks of here, she’ll be a dynamite smoke. Not much else going on with her, just letting her get as big as I can before she’s ready for the chop, might be in about 2 weeks. Day 58 - Nothing much new with her today, she’s probably getting close to being chopped as well. Trichs are pretty much milky with a few clear in there so just gonna keep a close eye on her. Day 61 - Nothing much new to report, she might be getting chopped soon, not much new growth happening and pistils are starting to fade away. Lots of milky trichs but still a few clear in there but either way, she’s getting close. Will probably need another day or two before she does need some water. Day 62 - Went ahead and gave her one more round of water today to see if it’ll beef her up just a bit more and if not, she’ll be ready to chop soon. Day 63 - The end of week 9 and this girl will probably get chopped along side of my Crystal Candy. Trichs look good and pistils are all but shriveled so she’s ready, most likely on Sunday.

Day 64 - Starting week 10 and she’s pretty much on track with my Crystal Candy, she’ll be ready to chop this week and just waiting for a little more amber trichs to show up. Day 65 - Not much to update, giving her just a little more time before chopping, probably sometime today or tomorrow.

The grow itself went pretty smooth, even with my mistakes. She still bounced back and provide a decent amount of some colorful buds. Looking forward to drying and trying this girl out.
