deFharo I'm starting this diary for a new photoperiod-dependent strain (60% Indica, 40% Sativa) with ultra-fast flowering from Sweet Seeds: Tropicanna Poison F1. This variety promises a flowering period of 6-7 weeks and is the result of crossing two varieties with red flower phenotypes: Tropicanna Cookies x Red Poison Auto. The producer highlights the yield and high THC levels: 16-24% and terpenes. It seems to have everything going for it: appearance, potency, yield, and short harvest times. The goal of this grow is to achieve a balance between production and energy expenditure. - A yield of 75g to 100g per plant, in a grow that should last between 12 and 14 weeks from seed. To this end, I placed the seed in a small pot with a substrate that has good drainage, organic components, and MM. I will only do one transplant, keeping the seedling in this container until the roots clearly show at the bottom, then I'll move it to the final pot, approximately at the beginning of the fourth week of life. I will continue in the vegetative stage until the sixth or seventh week (depending on how the grow goes) and will apply a FIM pruning during this period to increase production, then I will switch it to flowering. The nutritional strategy for this grow involves inoculating and maintaining MM in the substrate for optimal organic matter yield. I will add solid amendments on the surface once a month coinciding with the waxing moon. The waterings following these amendments will be directed, for the first 10 days, to promote the digestion of these solid components. After that, I will apply some reinforcement in watering, with a mild mix of one of my highly soluble nutrient formulas. In the last 15 days before the next solid amendment on the surface, I will increase the number of nutritional waterings with mild mixes, alternating with pure water every 2-3 days to allow time for the consumption of nutrients from the watering. Normally, this assimilation of soluble nutrients is completed within a maximum of 72 hours. The seed germinated in 24 hours, I transplanted it at 48 hours, and it has grown vigorously, although a bit leggy. I had it for 2 days in my cool white grow cabinet, but I noticed signs, probably from heat, on the cotyledons and first leaves, so now I have it next to a window with indirect light and resting during the night hours. When I see that it recovers from the heat stress and growth progresses, I will definitely move it to the cabinet with 18/6 hours of light. Until next week. Cheers!!

deFharo The seedling is showing a lot of vigor in its first two weeks of life, which is a good sign. I'm really liking the pot for its size and drainage; the roots are already pushing out from the base in search of substrate. It had very leggy growth in the first week, but this week it has stabilized and the first leaves have started to grow. If the progress continues, I'll transplant it to its final pot in 7-10 days and continue the root development in this one. Normally, it's in the third week when you notice greater growth and the seedling's definitive establishment. I haven't done any watering in these two weeks; it has maintained enough moisture in the pot. Tomorrow, I'll do a recovery watering with MMA and minerals. Currently, I'm subjecting the seedling to 24 hours of light, split into 18 hours in its grow cabinet and the rest outside to promote more growth; these cloudy days are ideal for this technique. deFharo The seedling, in its third week of life, has fully settled into its pot, the roots are vigorously showing at the base, the small pot has performed very well thanks to its large drainage holes. This coming week, I will transfer the seedling to its final pot; I'm trying to shorten the vegetative growth period from 10 to 15 days to also take advantage of the short flowering period (6-7 weeks) of this strain and thus achieve an acceptable harvest in 10-11 weeks from seed. For now, I keep the moisture level in the pot with a gentle supply of carbohydrates and MMA. I continue alternating between indoor and outdoor, finally giving it more than 22 hours of light. Cheers. deFharo Transplant week to the final pot (6L), the pot is of the air-pot type and helps with proper root development by preventing them from getting tangled, it also provides oxygen to the substrate through the holes. I prepared the substrate with: 50% reused soil, 20% enriched homemade bokashi, 20% peat, 10% worm humus, biochar and coconut fiber, perlite, vermiculite, and river sand for good drainage. I added minerals to this mix: 1) Clays that improve cation exchange and nutrient absorption: micronized Kaolin and Montmorillonite. 2) Phosphate rock (phosphorite) 3) Volcanic rocks: Basalt (two grains), Pumice Stone, and Zeolite. 4) Other minerals: Azomite and Leonardite 5) Inoculation of MM: Activated biochar, Solid Microorganisms (MMS) Once the substrate is prepared, I do the transplant, first I water a lot with water and auxins the root ball from the small pot to facilitate extraction, then I sprinkle auxins on the substrate surrounding the root ball, once this is done, I leave the pot for 24 hours without watering, the moisture from the root ball passes to the substrate by capillarity. After 24 hours, I do a two-part watering with honey and MMA, one at the base of the pot and the second as surface watering, the total volume of water is 8% of the pot's capacity (550ml). To finish, I add Solid Microorganisms on top and add two layers of mulch, the first with sheep wool that retains moisture and releases organic nitrogen during its slow degradation, the second layer made of dry cannabis leaves. The mulch promotes the proliferation of MM and moisture at the top of the substrate. For now, and at least for 2-3 weeks, I will keep this plant in my Cool White cabinet at 18/6h of light, promoting very compact growth before the transition to flowering. deFharo Fifth week from seed and one week until transplanting to the final pot, the plant is stable and growing vigorously in its new pot. I'm really liking the performance of this air-pot; I'm using this type of pot in two grows, and the difference is quite noticeable compared to other grows with standard square pots. The only downside for me is the width, which limits me in my small grow cabinets. The high water consumption level in this pot reassures me regarding one of my recurring mistakes: overwatering. 😞 This coming week, I will start boosting vegetative growth, giving the first deep watering with specific nutrients, and I hope for good results. So far, I've only enhanced the inoculation (Lacto algae EM) and proliferation of microorganisms (MM) with molasses, as well as rooting through controlled humidity, the addition of auxins to the substrate, and the vitamins, amino acids, and minerals provided by my lacto ferment of 3 algae (Kelp, Spirulina, and Chorella) with minerals and EM (MMA, BAL). deFharo Sixth week of life, second week since transplanting to its final pot and two days from the apical cut, the plant is showing good growth and becoming more compact, as this strain has had a tendency to stretch since seedling stage. The light diet with a very white spectrum is yielding results. On day 40, I applied an apical pruning to promote the growth of lateral branches, control height and width, build a more efficient canopy, and ultimately achieve more production... which I need!! I hope that the entry into the lunar waxing phase will favor vegetative growth after this apical pruning. I'm going to wait another week before switching to flowering; I want to make sure the plant gets through the shock of the apical cut. - It has been this week that I started adding nutrients to promote vegetative growth. The air-pot is making a difference compared to its companion Green Poison F! Water consumption is high and constant, plus the pot does a great job of preventing overwatering, which I'm not used to 😕 - Day 36. Water M, Molasses, Honey, Blood Hydrolysate 0.5%, Pumpkin and carrot fertilizer with EM 1%, Animal Lacto Meals with EM 1.4%. PH: 6.5 EC: 1.1. 750ml. - On the same day, I also added solid multi-nutrients on the surface coinciding with the entry of the lunar waxing phase. - And finally, I added to the liquid solution a gentle mix of homemade Auxin and Cytokinin hormones and also gibberellic acid. These 3 elements combined at this stage of vegetative growth greatly promote cell growth, prepare the plant for the start of the flowering period, redirect energy, after the apical cut, to the lateral branches, and delay overall aging. - Day 41. deFharo Seventh week of life and last of vegetative growth. The plant is doing very well, largely due to the pot and its ability to manage moisture and oxygenation. This variety has a clear tendency for vertical growth; I haven't been able to bend this tendency even using lights or with the apical pruning from 10 days ago. This week it has continued to gain height and has grown more than 5cm. After 4 days in a cabinet that I use as a transition to the light spectra for growth and flowering with a 17/7h schedule, yesterday I moved it to another transitional cabinet with 14/10h of light. I'll keep it there for a couple of days before moving it to its final cabinet with 12.5h of light. Regarding watering, I'm satisfied with the consumption level; it's constant, and I hope it increases with the days. After the last nutritional watering on day 45, I’m doing the following waterings with rainwater mixed with a bit of honey (carbohydrates, enzymes, minerals, vitamins...) without adjusting the pH. I’ll continue this way for this week to finish digesting the solid inputs I made on day 36 of cultivation and return to the liquid diet. Watering on day 45: Water M, Lacto guanos EM 1.5%, molasses, hydro blood 3g/l, seaweed acid 0.5%, ormus 0.5%. pH: 6.4 EC: 0.97. 500ml. Watering on day 48: Rainwater with minerals at 25% and honey. pH 7 EC: 0.12. 500ml. 😜 GROWING TIP Creation of a Solid Mountain Microorganism Nursery. This product is essential for any organic cultivation and the basis for many other liquid and solid preparations. It involves capturing and reproducing Mountain Microorganisms (MM) collected from the forests in my area and keeping them dormant for later use. The fermentation of this preparation is anaerobic, and the process aims to reproduce the MM throughout the mixture using rice bran and carbohydrates, yeasts, etc. from the molasses. This multiplication occurs over 30-40 days, the time needed for the mixture to deplete the oxygen in the container, and the already reproduced and multiplied MM begin to release spores due to the lack of oxygen and moisture. Once the fermentation is done, it emits a wonderful bakery smell, like a fruit panettone. It should be noted that this preparation is ideal for complementing animal feed and, with a purification process, it is also optimal for human consumption. PROCEDURE: 1) Collect MM from the soil in a nearby forest free from human influence, found just beneath the leaf litter. They can be identified in the leaves and decomposing mulch by their white color; avoid fungi or MM that are blue. If possible, collecting from different forests or points within the same forest is better as it increases the variety of MM. 2) Mix with Rice Bran in a ratio of MM/Bran = 1/2. You can also use Oat Bran, Brown Millet Flour, etc., instead of Rice Bran; essentially, any flour rich in proteins will do. 3) Mix pure water and molasses in equal parts, with a ratio of 1/1 concerning the added MM. 4) Knead the entire mixture and gradually moisten it using a spray bottle, avoiding excess moisture. 5) Store in an airtight container, pressing the mixture tightly to extract all the air. 6) Seal airtight and wait 30 to 40 days before starting to use. Example of proportions: MM 1kg. Rice Bran 2Kg. Molasses 250gr Pure Water 250ml. 😉 USES a) As a solid input to new substrates functioning as an inoculator of MM. b) As a base for preparing Liquid Bio Ferment: Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA) c) The MMA are activated with anaerobic fermentation and have the ability to chelate and make all nutrients provided to the preparation, mainly minerals, assimilable. Check week 13 of my Purple Bud diary to learn more about the activation procedure of MMS. d) I also use the MMA and MMS to make activated Biochar, Coconut Fiber with MM for mixing with substrates, and Fertilizers from pumpkin, fruits, guanos, animal meals, algae, etc. With these preparations, in addition to inoculating the MM in the substrate, I immediately provide all the nutrients and minerals from the formula to the watering. e) Animal and human consumption... All week I've had the plant under 14 hours of light, preparing it for the transition to flowering, which I'll do today with 12/12 hours. I've been waiting for the establishment of the crop in the pot, which didn't happen until this week where the growth has been notable. In fact, I've applied LST to 4 tops, the two upper ones and the next two in order to control the height, since this strain has shown a great tendency for vertical growth from the start. I hope that with the support of these tops, I can shape a rounder plant. Water consumption is smooth and constant; so far I've applied nutrient mixes with low concentration. Today, with the transition to flowering, I'll give it a deep watering with growth nutrients to give it the last vegetative boost before the flowers. 😄 WEEKLY WATERINGS. 1) Day 51. Rainwater (75%) and spring water (25%). TOTAL EC: 0.14, Honey and Lacto fermentation of animal meals with EM (N,P,Ca, Mg...) 1.5%. PH: 6 EC: 0.75. 500ml. 2) Day 54. deFharo Very good performance this week, the plant is growing wildly, it consumes more water each time, and this allows me to give it a gentle but very varied diet of all kinds of nutrients, MM, and minerals. The plant is responding very well to all the waterings, it started to flower 5 days after moving to the cabinet with 12h. I remember that I had it for a week at 14h of light before. The flowers are already starting to show purple tones, Fantastic!! The final flowering cabinet is treating it very well, its three cabinet mates have left it some space to grow happily. The plant has a strong tendency for vertical growth; neither the intense and very white lights in the vegetative stage nor the apical pruning are breaking this tendency. I hope it surprises me in the end and starts gaining volume on the sides because I like them fat!! In addition to the soil waterings, this week I applied a foliar watering and added solid components on the surface. For this preparation, I use various sources of nutrients and minerals depending on the stage of the crop. In this case, since the plant is entering flowering, I increase elements with more phosphorus and potassium (bird and bat guano, bone meal, ash, banana powder, Humate PK, and a few others that I forget). I reduce elements with nitrogen content and add vitamins (algae, fruit powders...) and minerals (Azomite, Basalt, and phosphorite) to the mix. As during the weekly waterings, and the one from the same day, I have been inoculating microorganisms in the soil through several of my formulas. The decomposition of these solid elements will be very quick since the substrate is clearly very alive. When I add solids to the surface, I always add some mulch to recover what has been consumed by the crop. The mulch is organic matter that is food for the microorganisms. I usually add solids every 15 days coinciding with the waxing and waning moons, starting with these contributions from the 5th-6th week of the plant's life and up to 2-3 weeks before harvesting. 😜 WEEKLY DIET 1) Day 57. Rainwater and spring water at 25%, Lacto fermented algae with EM 1%, Molasses, Algae bokashi tea 20%. PH: 6.62 EC: 1.2. 550ml. Transition to flowering 12/12h. 2) Day 60. Foliar watering with: Rainwater and spring water at 25%, honey, bokashi tea, and lacto fermented algae with EM, PH: 6.5 EC: 1.2. 100ml. 3) Day 61. Mountain water, Lacto fermented guano with EM 1%, Honey, Lacto fermented animal meals with EM 1%, Sodium hydrolyzed worm humus 1%. PH: 6.2 EC: 1.2. 500ml. 4) Day 63. deFharo Second week of flowering, the plant continues to grow and the colorful tips are visible all around. I have tied down the upper tips to control the height and redistribute energy to other branches to create a powerful upper canopy. This week I have done two waterings with my potassium humates enriched with minerals, I also continue with the inoculation of MM and other nutrients with my guano lacto-ferment with EM (P and micronutrients) and the mineral lacto-ferment and Efficient Microorganisms (EM). For this week, and before fully entering the flowering nutrition, I’m going to do some waterings with pure water in all my crops, which I had to be reminded of this week that water-only waterings also exist 😅. Thanks @Organic_LarF 😍 GROWING TIP - Cannabis oil extraction (HBO) with isopropyl alcohol (QWISO) With 200g of aged marijuana, over two years of storage, with no trace of chlorophyll and a bit past, I decided to make a cannabis oil extract, which later, besides enjoying it by smoking, I will use as a base for other preparations that I will be posting here. Initially, I’m going to use it to make a topical cream by mixing the HBO with unrefined shea butter, this butter is fantastic as a moisturizer and tissue regenerator. Also to make cannabis butter, THC alcohol for topical use, and olive oil with THC for raw consumption. The truth is that this oil can be dissolved in alcohols and fats, which means it has a multitude of uses, including as a sophisticated cooking ingredient... 😷 PROCEDURE Ingredients: 200g of well-dried and ground buds. 1.5l of isopropyl alcohol. 1) I grind all the herb so that the alcohol can soak it quickly and well. 2) I put the alcohol and the herb in the freezer for a few hours. 3) I prepare several containers with coffee filters. 4) I take the herb and alcohol out of the freezer and mix them, shaking for exactly 1 minute to dissolve only the THC and avoid dissolving other substances like waxes, chlorophyll residues, etc. 5) With a coffee cloth strainer, I do the first coarse filtering and then put it in the coffee filters, using several containers to speed up this process which can take 2 hours. 6) I pour the filtered liquid into a wide glass oven-safe container because it’s less sticky, and let the alcohol evaporate naturally to avoid doing it with heat and losing something along the way. I leave the container in the shade where air can circulate. 7) After 48 hours, the alcohol has evaporated and I have collected the fruit, 58g of HBO of the best quality. deFharo Third week of flowering and eleventh of life from seed, I'm happy!! 😋 The plant looks very healthy, so far it has responded well to all the nutritional waterings, that's why this week it has earned some waterings with only rain and mountain water at 25% (EC: 0.1). I've also inoculated Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA) once with minerals and molasses to enhance the dissolution of nutrients, organic matter, and minerals present in the substrate. This presence is due to the initial composition of a super substrate and the remnants of undigested nutrients from the waterings that remain in the substrate as organic matter. The flowers are gorgeous, the accompanying leaves have a purple color that contrasts with the extreme paleness of the pistils. This week I will continue with pure waterings and will add solids on the surface to help with flowering. deFharo Fourth week of flowering and twelfth of life from seed. The plant remains vigorous and the flowers continue to proliferate all over the branches... gifting me their wonderful purple colors. Water consumption is high, allowing me to water every 3 days. This week I've done two waterings mainly focused on providing Phosphorus (Lacto guanos) and Potassium (Humate KM). Additionally, I've added 1% of ormus (Ca, Mg...) to both waterings. On day 82, I made a solid addition to the surface: Humate PK (Humic, fulvic, and humatomelanic acids, Phosphorus, Potassium, OM), Banana powder (Potassium, Mg, OM), Dolomite (Ca), Azomite (K, Si, plus 70 trace minerals), Red kaolin (Si, Cation exchange, Fe), Illite (Ca, Mg, Mn), Ash (K), Worm castings (4-3-3, OM). To help dissolve these solid additions, the watering on this day is based on the inoculation of Microorganisms (MM) and molasses to give them energy. Since theoretically the flowering period would end in 2-3 weeks, at the end of this coming week I will start with more intense nutritional waterings, alternating them with pure water. On the same day 82, I also adjusted the ties on the upper branches and added ties to the lower branches to expose them better to light and give volume to the plant. At the same time, I did a small defoliation to favor light penetration throughout the plant. I'll keep you updated next week!! Cheers and thanks for being there!! 😏

deFharo Fifth week of flowering, the grow is progressing and the buds are growing beautifully amidst purple leaves. The structure of the plant has turned out a bit messy, but the strain has shown an untameable tendency for vertical growth, although it has shown a lot of vigor underneath. I will try to do a more compact training next time, doing the apical pruning earlier. The largest leaves are starting to show deficiencies; these deficiencies seem early to me, but it looks like the life cycle (Fast Version) speeds up all the processes of the grow. However, to alleviate it a bit, I did a watering yesterday with my fermented guano with EM that provides a bit of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Minerals, and Micronutrients. deFharo Week fourteen, the plant is fully dedicated to the growth of its beautiful buds. The older leaves have turned yellow and are giving their nutrients to the new flowers, after which they will fall to the substrate and return to a new plant, completing the cycle of life. Water consumption is moderate but sufficient for watering every 72 hours. This week I did two light waterings and added solids on the surface: Day 93. Rain and mountain water at 10%, molasses, potassium humate from leonardite 1.5%, Ormus 1%, Lacto fermented guano with Effective Microorganisms (EM) at 5%. pH: 6.6 EC: 1.4. 100ml. Day 95. Rain and mountain water at 20%, molasses, Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA) at 1.5%, Ormus 1% - SOLIDS: Ground leonardite and banana peel powder. pH: 7 EC: 0.7. 700ml. To enhance the development of the buds, I will be giving extra soluble nutrients based on PK and minerals next week. Currently, the buds feel dense, but I hope they grow much more; I believe the plant has enough energy to live at least two more weeks, we’ll see how it evolves!! deFharo Seventh week of flowering for this exotic plant, no news, the buds are beautiful but lack density and I haven't noticed any growth or swelling this week, although looking at them under the microscope they are still producing trichomes. The water consumption of this plant has always been moderate and constant, low for my taste. This week I'm going to increase the nutrient concentration, let's see if it decides to take advantage of them. I think the grow still has energy to stretch it out for another 2 weeks. The producer claims that the harvest would be ready in 6-7 weeks of flowering, but for me it's normal for it to take longer. deFharo At 16 weeks of life from seed and the eighth week of flowering, the plant is still developing flowers, as can be seen by the white pistils. The buds aren't very dense yet, but all the tips look very fresh and healthy, they're still creating trichomes, the plant continues with energy and I think it's asking me for a fight!! The aroma of this plant has dominated all my grows, my house is invaded by scents of pine, vanilla, and mint!! Just moving this plant, the terpenes settle in the air and my nostrils, creating an intoxicating atmosphere, damn!! It's worth it for this strain just to experience all the sensations its smell produces. This week two waterings, I keep low EC concentrations since the plant has moderate water consumption, I think the lack of leaf mass slows down photosynthesis and water absorption, anyway, I water it every 72 hours and this week I'm going to increase the doses. deFharo Eighth week of flowering, the buds have fattened and hardened throughout the week, the plant continues to create flowers and trichomes. Although it's spectacular due to the intense purple colors of the buds, the messy structure and rapid aging of the older leaves makes me a bit sad, although the flower tips are enjoying excellent health and energy. I think when I grow this strain again, I will correct some mistakes. Water consumption remains moderate, which is normal because it lacks leaf mass and therefore photosynthesis is low. A nutrient watering this week with my Potassium Hydrolyzate from Leonardite with Phosphorus, and another just with water and molasses, the plant responds well focusing all the energy on the colorful colas. I will continue with the cultivation carefully observing the evolution of the colas and the colors of the trichomes, currently, it can be seen under the microscope that most are still transparent. Since it needs watering every 3 days, when I observe the maturation of the trichomes, I will just give it one last watering with pure water and to the jar. Cheers fellow growers!! 😐

deFharo Week 18 of life and tenth of flowering, the grow has come to an end. I harvested the plant today after letting the substrate dry well, the wet weight of the buds was 142g, a modest yield. The smell of the plant is very strong and the buds are beautiful, I’ve now put them to dry and in a week I’ll do a complete evaluation. For now, I can talk about mistakes on my part in this grow. Clearly, the apical cut was late, above the ninth node, and it didn’t help with compacting, resulting in a plant that was too lanky and sparse. If after curing the weed is as potent as the producer claims, I will repeat this grow, as the appearance and aromas are unique, and I’m disappointed with the yield. I believe that by correcting the mistake of the apical cut and applying other training techniques, I can produce a great plant. Until next time!! Cheers, fellow growers!! 😊

Hoy, después de una semana de secado, he recogido la cosecha en botes de cristal para curarla al menos durante un mes. Sin embargo, los cogollos estaban lo suficientemente secos, a pesar de que ha sido una semana fría, como para comenzar el día probándolos, de inicio, he abierto el armario de secado e inmediatamente el golpe de olor ha sido impresionante, en mi memoria estaban los aromas del día que la corté, pero después de una semana he notado un gran cambio, el aroma es más fuerte, pero sobretodo con más bouquet, embriagante, más estable y muy agradable un 10 a los terpenos!! esto unido a el oscurecimiento de las colas, realmente es una marihuana muy especial, porque de momento, antes del humo, te llena de gozo la vista y el olfato!! Pues bien, esta mañana, para desayunar, el humo "morado" ha invadido el ambiente y mi cerebro, el humo es sabroso y dulce, intenso después de un rato, te da la impresión de haber comido alguna fruta... tropical. Mis viejos pulmones no se han quejado, objetivo cumplido!! Este producto lo voy curar y guardar en mi bodega para usarlo sólo en ocasiones... y presumir!! La estructura que tomó la planta no me agradó, no pude domarla, tuvo todo el tiempo una gran tendencia al crecimiento vertical, a pesar de la poda apical, las ataduras a las ramas o las luces blancas de la etapa de crecimiento, creció bastante desordenada, las ramas no eran fuertes, soportaron el peso de las colas porque estas eran pequeñas, los cogollos a pesar que en las últimas dos semanas cogieron densidad, después del secado se han quedado esponjosos. Asumo toda mi parte de errores, y voy a cultivar de nuevo esta variedad con nueva estrategia de cultivo, creo que puedo conseguir mejores resultados y el producto final lo merece sin duda.
