I understand your worry I've had some hermies before and sometimes it was hard to really tell for sure.
But I believe what you're looking at, at the base of the budsites on the stem? Those are Calyxs, a female preflower, you can usually tell for sure when the calyx has a pistil poking out of it that's a guaranteed female preflower...no pistils with males.
Also on a male you would see like 3-5 sacs all clustered there instead of the one on each side of the stem.
Just another thought be careful getting your plant so moist...i used to mist my plants and ended up getting chlorine burn.
