Plain water this week. Don't want them to be overfed. As it gets colder around here, I water the plant once a week, because the soil keeps being moist. Next watering will be on saturday and I plan to feed here then. Everything is runinng smooth, seeing a lot of bud growth, so, I'm happy. I'm about to get some COB lighting, so it might improve floration.

Im wondering why some plants at day 3 look like mine at day 8?

All great points, every grow is different, as well as every strain is different. I recently realized that some of my seedlings took off and immediately began growing, while others were slow and took much more tlc and problem solving. If you've gotten a decent light setup as well as soil, etc. I bet she will pick up for you. Those first few weeks can be frustrating getting everything sorted out, however if your ph is good, your heat reasonable( 80 could be a tad high), and you're not over or under watering, I feel confidant the grow will pick up. I definitely agree with stick as checking the light specifics, many leds claim to be much more than they are. Good luck with your grow, I'm fascinated by the space bucket approach.

I set a fan blowing towards the plant. I uploaded a video showing the intensity its receiving. I want to know if that's too much air or is it OK for the plant to shake like that?

A non-oscillating fan blowing on a plant can cause wind burn. I suggest getting an oscillating fan. The plant needs fresh air circulation. A constant fan on the plant wont allow the plant to use up the co2 (non sealed room) around its leaves.

Ive noticed that during winter I only need to water the plants once a week or so. Is that OK for a SpaceBucket with a ufo led? What's better? several small waterings or a big one once a week? Im using 1,25L a week, should I try to break that quantity to 2 waterings?

99% or so of the water the plants drink is later transpired. Because of your low temperatures, the plant is transpiring very little and so, its needs of water are greatly reduced. It is not a matter of UFO vs HID vs whatever; if you can raise your temperatures, then your plants will start drinking more water, the ideal situation is to water for 4 to 5 days. For your temperatures 1.25 liters a week is too much; I would give it half a liter and expect it to last 3 or 4 days. Having the soil wet too long can (and usually will) attract bugs. If you can raise your temperatures, you will see an increase in growth (or bud development) speed; try to lower your exhaust fan speed or have it on a timer (15 in on / 15 min off).

What a beautiful little plant. She is turning out great! You must have a strain from Antarctica. That's some chilly temps.

Should I do something with the bottom yellowing leaves?
Sweet_Seeds
Sweet_Seedscommented6 years ago
@ElPresidente, its normal, fella. Now the plant needs flowering fertilizers and the big leaves change to yellow colours. Don't worry about it! All the best! jaypp

leave them bro the plant is still using them :) maybe your nutrients mix is too strong or your ph is off?

You have trained her nicely! She has great bud sites that are pretty clear of shade. You will have some very nice buds when you are finished.

Good luck on the Space Bucket. I started my plant out in one. I love those things! I got hooked on the hobby and bought a tent though so I didn't finish off the grow in the bucket. Growing an auto in the bucket is a good idea. She will flip to flower a lot faster and you won't have as many space issues. Really LST this girl! You have a small space to work with and you need to keep that plant trained!!!! You might want to invest in a canvas smart pot in the future. They have handles so you can pull the plant out of the bucket a lot easier. It gets tight in there.
ElPresidente
ElPresidentecommented7 years ago
@Quexos, Thanks, this isnt an auto, its fotodependant, so I guess Ill switch it in about 3 weeks or so. Ill be LSTing it, also topping. Im looking into those canvas smart pot you mentioned. Stay tuned!

Nice work getting that plant trimmed and trained in your space bucket. She looks great!

Nice photos this week! You have a few damaged leaves in the first photos. It could be the fan issues you were talking about. It looks like you trimmed those off. New growth looks very lush. Those squat, ruffly leaves are good and bad. They are very short, so they don't take up a lot of space, but they are really wide and shade producing. Keep up the defol and LST during the stretch. I wouldn't worry about the pistils. My last grow was a photo and it took almost 4 weeks for pistils to show! If you are seeing a lot of vertical growth then you are right on schedule. Keep training throughout stretch so you can have room for those beautiful buds in your bucket!

Quexoscommentedweek 57 years ago
You are really filling out that space bucket! It looks like every available space is being taken up by foliage. She is looking most excellent this week. Those big fat leaves are going to be trouble for the lower bud sites. You can still trim them off, but take your time. A few leaves here and there, and the plant won't even notice they are gone!
ElPresidente
ElPresidentecommented7 years ago
@Quexos, Great, im going to do some light defoliation as you mentioned. Im going to look for the older leaves, and remove them 2 or 3 a day. I've noticed stretching this last days, and I'm entering week 3 of floration. I hope to notice some pistils next week or so. For what I've seen this strain can be a little slow to show pistils, around week 3 or 4, so, I have to wait. The thing is, that I have a UFO LED as main lighting source and I doubt its capacity to flower, so thats making me uncertain. Its a 75W chinese UFO LED.
Quexos
Quexoscommented7 years ago
@ElPresidente, Damaged leaves certainly. I also took leaves that were older, even if they were healthy. I looked for fan leaves that had really long stems. I didn't want the fan leaves to shade some of the lesser bud sites. If I could tuck them underneath, I would do that for awhile, but ultimately they would go. I did light defol throughout the flowering period. Have you seen much stretch yet? If this is a photoperiod seed then you might not see pistils for about 3 weeks. I saw a lot more stretch prior to seeing actual pistils. It seemed to take forever! I'm not sure about an auto. Maybe search that strain on the Diaries.
ElPresidente
ElPresidentecommented7 years ago
@Quexos, Hey! Thanks for the input. I might defoliate a little, but I'm still waiting for those pistils to show up. I should remove the most damage leaves first, no? Really appreciate your tips. Have a good one!

She's fattening up because she thinks its winter! 😉 Your girl is looking real close to being done. Have you looked at the trichomes to see if she is ready for harvest? You are 8 weeks into flowering. You should be close. You've done a very nice job in this bucket grow.
Quexos
Quexoscommented6 years ago
@ElPresidente, Sounds like a good plan. You might extend the flush if you were really aggressive with nutes, or if the trichomes are still mostly clear. It is kinda bittersweet. But now you can learn the next phase; Drying, trimming and curing!😁 Do you have a separate place to dry your plant once its harvested? If you don't, they are easy to make. If you do, you can start another plant while your first one is drying!
ElPresidente
ElPresidentecommented6 years ago
@Quexos, Hey there, I've been watching her closely, and I see some cloudy trichomes, so you might be right, she could be close to being harvested =( Its such a bittersweet moment, as I dont want her to go. Anyway, I might flush her today and wait for a week, then 36 hours of darkness, then chop chop. Im interested to know what's your thoughts are about this plan.

@ElPresidente Good job taking a picture thru a loupe. I see only clear, immature trichomes. Breeders’ schedule recommendations should be taken loosely, as your conditions are different than theirs were, and to some degree it’s marketing bullshit. You’ve been cautioned wisely already by @Quexos to keep an eye on trichome development daily! Harvesting early is tempting because you’re eager to enjoy your hard work, but stay the course until you see at least 1/3 amber and you’ll be rewarded. I prefer half for a rock solid stone. All amber becomes cannabis Ambien. Cannbien. All clear is like a weak dose of mescaline. It feels like it’s going to get awesome once you really get off, but you never do. It’s all giddy anticipation and it’s gone. If you want to be STONED, wait for amber trichs

Listen to @Stick re watering. In flower give her just enough water. And late in flower, when there is no more actual growth but only maturing, let her go a little extra thirsty between waterings. She will sense her dehydration and respond with increased essential oil production. FROSTY! Lo que queremos - What we want. Sigue como estas. You’re doing fine. She’s got a ways to go yet. And you have night air temp 46oF!?! The F stands for F’ing cold, hermano! Late in flower that means awesome colors!

@growdoctordc, Nice tips! Jolted them down. Thanks for your comment, and following my grow. Lets see what's up in the near future. Hope to get those mad colors you mention 😼

Hi @ElPresidente! Several small waterings are always better, this helps to avoid overwatering and will allow you to have a better understanding of how your plant reacts to water/nutrients/dryness. Happy growing! 👊
ElPresidente
ElPresidentecommented7 years ago
@Stick, Thanks for the input. I will try to cut my watering quantity to half, and see how long it takes to get thirsty.
