👉 My wife told me all my Diaries are probably dissmissed as TLDNR by most of the growers on here. Thats' OK. I do this diary for me and those who are weed nerds like me. 👉This is the last seed of the 4 I received from Herbie's Head Shop of the Blow Mind Auto (Now called Sweet Amnesia Haze Auto) by Sweet Seeds. It has emerged a tap root and was placed in the media on 8-2. This was day 3 from placing in germination water. I'm excited about growing a Sweet Seeds strain. 👉 I will be doing Frequent Fertigation. Frequent Fertigation is giving the plant nutrients at optimum levels at a minimum of 2xs a day. The input nutrient solutions are mixed using the General Hydroponics Flora series full line of nutrients and mixed using the Drain to waste feed charts. Here is a link to that chart: https://gh.growgh.com/docs/Feedcharts/GH_FloraSeries-DTW_03216am.pdf My target pH is 5.8-6.0. My EC target is the upper end of the recommended range on the feed chart. I use RO water produced by an industrial grade machine I have access to but not at my residence. I mule the water in 2 6 gallon water carriers. This water is usually less than 5pH and averages 7microsiemens of EC. I have 2.5 gallon dispensers and mix each batch for 2 gallons mix level. The extra 1/2 gallon has proven to be the right amount to make upper level EC ranged solutions. Without that extra 1/2 gallon the solutions are usually over the limit. To get to the point where I knew 1/2 gallons extra would be enough, I mixed tons of batches with one or two gallons and then added water to weaken the solution EC to the desired range. The EC of the source water determines the final amount of water needed to weaken the mix solution to be in range. Frequent fertigation is a labor intensive technique. Feeding at every irrigation event. This will not work in soil. Its a technique perfect for Coco Coir. I grew in collage in the 80s and experimented one plant with just clay pebbles. I liked the idea of a hybrid hydroponics/soil techniques. But that was my only serious grow till now because the risk of doing an illegal grow was too great for me. When legal growing a reality, I did lots of research on what methods I wanted to use. I dont like following the crowd, so when I cam across Dr Coco and the website Coco For Cannabis, I knew this was for me since I had done something similar 40 years ago. Frequent Fertigation keeps coco coir at optimum levels of of pH and nutrient EC to maximize the plants ability to metabolize the nutrients. 2xs is the minimum number of events per day. If I had time for 3 or 4 I would try it, but without automation I simply dont have the opportunity to do more than 2x's a day. This has worked so far on all my plants. My results have been excellent and are far and away above the average plants that you find on this site. I will detail this method throughout this diary and will be happy to answer questions. I believe this technique is perfect for growing larger than the average plants and making lots of good big buds. I prefer autos for the longer light schedule and the low risk of after dark light exposure issues. 👉The plant is in a 3 gallon pot filled with 2.5 gallons of Coco Coir and 1/2 gallon of expanded clay pebbles. This is 1/2 the amount of clay pebbles I have used in the past (normally 1/3 total volume). Not much data on expanded clay pebbles for coco beside just following the typical 1/3 total volume like the amount of perl-lite most use. I don't like per-lite for personal reasons...it is soft and can crush, its small, and the per-lite on the surface of plants I grow indoors or out, have algae grow on it, pebbles do not. 👉 Mars Hydro TS 1000 lights turned up full, so approximately 150watts. I may ad one more light to this plant later. 👉 To germinate I used a pH balance H2O solution with H2O2 added. I mixed 1 pint of water with 100ml of household (3%) H2O2. at 18hours I placed the seed in a black plastic container with a top, not air tight. Instead of paper towels I used a cellulose/cotton sheet cut to fit the container. I moistened the sheet with the H2O/H2O2 mixture. The area the seed germed in was about 77-78F (my entertainment center). The tap root emerged within 24hrs and I left in the container for 24hrs and placed in the media on day 3 just before doing this entry. I placed a plastic cup over the seed site. 👉To prep the media I mixed 2.5 gallons of Coco with 1/2 gallons of expanded clay pebbles. I did this two weeks ago and have been rinsing the media daily with 1.5 liters of pH 6.4 pH .4ec water. I check the run-off to make sure the media is ballanced and buffered with no residual salt etc from the coco production.

World's away from start to finish. Thankyou for taking the time to create such an in depth diary. I learnt a great deal going through your grow with you from start to finish. Very detailed and great source of knowledge thankyou very much I hope to share my grow with you in the near future to show you just how much you helped.

@Sweet_Seeds, Sorry, didnt intend to be a jerk. Its kewl, I appreciate your opinion. It re-assures me I know what I'm doing. BTW, COCO has some potassium in it and minute quantities of magnesium and calcium and a high level of salt all of which get rinsed out before planting. If there is any left in the coco it is minuscule and unavailable to the plant anyway. Before planting I rinse the coco to buffer it. This particular grow I rinsed the coco not only before putting in the pot, then for two weeks every day with ph'd pure water and monitored the run-off. This was the last seed (of 4) that I got from Herbie's, the first three all sprouted a tiny tap root, and all of them stopped after that and didnt completely germinate. I figured the seeds I got were probably a little older so on the 4rth one (the one growing now) I used an H2O2 solution. The tap root got to 1/2" and was placed in the media. It emerged from the media but couldn't shed its seed coat. I tried to let it free itself on its own but after 4 days it wasn't so I assisted it. This is why the plant is tiny. The way the plant is going now I am confident it will thrive. the days on the calendar are not an indicator of the plants age. The plant was struggling. It wasn't struggling because I was adding nutrients. And once again I didnt give it a strong dose of nutrients. I used .04EC is and the recipe is FOR seedlings doing this method. and I alternated with almost pure water...literately 98% pure medical grade H2O. My wife has told my my diaries are too long for people to read all of the details, so this diary I tried to keep it a little more basic because its a waste of time putting every little detail on here for 3 or four people to glance at every week. I am confident this plant will be like the rest of my plants and be way above and beyond when compared to the average plant that gets rewarded in the sham contests on this site. I am glad Sweet Seeds is offering more contests and hope to see more integrity in the results. This is why I chose a sweet seeds strain to grow. I cant wait to try it out! A very intriguing mix of strains for this one! I appreciate you challenging the details of my grow here. I enjoy the discourse! 😎

@Weird_Jimmy, Well, it was my point of view, and I was trying to help you. Sorry about that. The green colour in the substrate is due to high humidity. (And that's very bad for a seed). COCO has food for the first 10 days and I see you have used fertilizers at the beginning. Your plant is really tiny for day 26 so it will be a small plant possibly because it starts to flowering soon. But don't worry about it, It is only my opinion. All the best! jaypp

@PurpleWorship, thank you! Its bud structure isnt as dense as it may look. A bit of foxtailing but it has gained some plump over the last week. Frostier than breakfast cereal. 😎

I believe there are some Sweet seeds strains that a shaggy. I tried ak47 from serious seeds and fruit pie seedstockers was not that shaggy. Why don't you try premium DNA or Dutch passion, man?
