Third week of flowering, I did the second and last schwazzing I was quite scared but after reading and watch all the reviand diaries I went light on her as her stems are still a bit weak and she seems to have some stretching to offer. 3days after the last schwazzing she she's already back on track, new leaves are coming and the flowers are booming. i can't wait to see her get strong I feel she has better to offer still. I increased the amount of watering from 0.75l to almost double, 1.25l, and spaced the watering from 2 to 3 days. Although she seem thirsty but I don't want to be over watering her and have deoopy leaves like her sister few weeks ago. She has a sweet fruity smell I remember that strain to be know nda coffee/chocolate type of smell... Time will tell Happy growing πŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎπŸΏπŸŒΏπŸŒ»

Grow Questions

Summer is super warm and not windy. I have a humidifier, i am foliar spraying her with aloe vera and liquid kelp but unfortunately the 3rd node leaves are already burnt. How can i make sure the leaves will still help her going through the mainlining training stress properly?

might be a root zone problem. Heat won't cause those spots. if you don't let top 1" dry, start doing so.. 20% runoff waste and repeat. avoids buildup, keeps roots happy. I am not familiar with your ferts, but if you can look into their labels and deduce PPM of what you feed is in a normal range, this is my best guess.. and just a guess. do google and look for more info in addition to questions here. (also, not elgible for the GotM contest, so if you like my solution, do give the 'answer' to someone else, please)

I switched to flowering 2 days ago. On the defoliation side of the training, when there are grow tips that are growing from an under node, do i keep them or do i remove them? I don't want any larfy buds and i want the plant to focus into the 8 mainlined colas

Yes you can defoliate and prune up to about 3 weeks into flower. I Usually leaf strip then about 20 days in I'll prune all the larfy weak nodes underneath. This focuses all the light on top of the plant giving you some sexy buds with no popcorn buds underneath. I learnt this the hard way lol check my diary if you need any help . I mainline

Hi @HueyBrown, The main-lining looks nice, it has a really nice structure (that's what I love from this technique). To be honest, I'm not sure that the defoliation was super necessary. From the photos of the previous weeks, it seems the leafs weren't blocking that much what was under. What kind of light do you use exactly? For the watering, considering your temperatures, I'm surprised she doesn't even drink much. I'm following the grow now, looking forward to seeing the buds fattening up πŸ‘

@Frenchie, I see what you mean about the wattage. Heck no don't buy the book too expensive lol. There's enough great diaries, websites and YouTube videos with step by step Schwazzing technics tutorial 😜

@HueyBrown, for the Likesuns, the wattage consumption might be written directly on the lamp itself or in the manual, it is mandatory I guess. I wouldn't say Watt doesn't matter, it is still a good indication of what you can expect. The important thing is to look at the real consumption. If it was really 600W from the wall, that would be overkilled for your grow tent for example. Thanks for the link, I actually saw it when I did my research after reading about this technique (not going to buy the book though πŸ˜‰)

@Frenchie, I feel like the Likesuns provide maybe 300W. I figured out later on (of course after the purchase) that Watt doesn't really matter. For my next grow I will do more research and follow the reviews. Here is a good guide for schwazzing technic https://threealight.com/pages/ultimate-guide-to-schwazzing
