Haven't grown in years but recently a good friend developed M.S.....I now felt it was time to help!
Germinated 2 x Arjan's Haze #3 seeds from GreenHouse Seed Company , however only one has popped to date.
Maybe they are old seeds... , I won't give up on the other one lol.
My first viable seed popped 3rd Aug 2020 after 72 hours with a tap root about quarter of an inch long.(6 hour soak in water and then paper towel method)
This has been carefully planted in a well watered and drained 10cm pot.
I am using Plagron Royal Mix & have pre soaked the soil in a Plagron Power Roots solution.
First time growing under LEDs , a 1200w Philzon Dual Switch, I previously used a 300wCFL and a 400wHPS with good results , but have an open mind on the LED front.
Will update you all in a week as to how my seeds / seedlings are progressing.

The other seed didnt pop. I dropped it into a shot glass of water.... it sank.... I removed it from the water and gently squeezed it until it cracked a little now back under the damp paper towel, only time will tell , I am impatient at the best of times, other than giving said seed a few more days ,at which time I reckon she's a gonner.
How long to give dormant seeds before deciding germination failure?
Recently aquired seeds , two were soaked , paper toweled , only one germinated to date. They are older seeds.
The ungerminated one has turned dark brown ? How long do I wait before deciding its an unviable seed?

If its already turning brown it's dead already. Normally after soaking for 2 days and placing them in paper towel if after 4-5 days it doesn't show any sign of a tap root its not viable. Hopefully I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.
Slow to start , but can feel a sustained growth spurt coming on in the next few days.
Stunted pr slow growth due to the temps perhaps?

The last week she's grown nearly 5 inches and is starting to bush out.
Topped her today , will be using LST as soon as the branches are big enough.
On a concerned note , she has already filled her 5.7L pot , going to transplant her in 2 weeks time , ready for flowering.
As a side note the internodal distance is tiny!
She is starting to bush a little bit more , so had a half a go at removing lower branches , although I have more to prune.
Repotting was a success , but would not have been achieveable except for the power roots it has been given.

um, k , so my stunted girl is in her last week of veg.
Lights go out for 24 hours , then 12/12 light cycle.
I probably should prune loads more off beforehand , however am a lazy beggar lol .....

Trichomes , when should they appear ? Strain is Arjan's Haze #3
Having difficulty making any out on the sugar leaves although the buds are sticky to the touch.
All help gratefully appreciated in advance.
Typically trichomes start developing shortly after flowering begins, with slight variances depending on the strain. you need a jewler's loupe in order to get a good look at em. Happy growing.
Thanks for checkin in on me, Trichomes have been spotted ! :) PHEW ! I wondered if she was ever gonna show any.
Still clear as far as my jaded eyes can tell at 40x magnification. Here goes the countdown....
