Hello again! Feels nice to come back and start a new diary here. The last ones were my first experience indoors and went great, now I feel super motivated to start a new grow. And this time I'm going for 4 different strains, hoping for great results, and a wide variety of flavours and colors to enjoy during this journey and after, when everything is cropped and ready to smoke. I'm going again for autos as my choice of seed, things are fast and keep me happy, production is enough for my needs so, no change here for now. Going for this strain because I always heard good feedback about her, how easy is to grow, the nice effects, whatever is the breeder. As I got it as a freebie, I'll just have fun growing it. Again, I'll be using BioBizz nutrients, and Lumatek bulbs. The difference is that now I'll use a MH for veg, that I didn't had in the last grow. Looking forward then to see better results on flowering as the light spectrum should provide better light to them. With no more talk, here's the fact sheet for this week Day 1 to 7 - 17/8 - 23/8 General: Soaked the seed in water 24h, kept it in the dark for all that time. Transferred to pot and been spraying with water since then. Humidifier is on to keep RH on 70%. Now it's waiting time until it's out. Techniques: Nothing yet. Feeding: Spraying with water, to keep the soil moist in the seed location. nothing more. Smell: Too soon. Temps and RH: 25c - 19c (24 average) 72% - 43% (62% average) Pests and plagues: Nothing to record.

Hola my friends! Another week goes by, and fortunately this week I have good news. So, finally, at the 3rd seed, I finally got her out. 3 freebies to get only one. Bummer. Hope it makes it to the end at least... Same with the Sweet mango from green house, from 10 that I got, the 6 I've tried didn't pop as well. Start to get worries with my order. From the same delivery, the free amnesia seeds germinated and is beautiful for the time being, as you can see on the diary I have going. On the other hand, the seeds I got from another seedbank had a germination rate of 100%, some of them with some months in my fridge. So, it's not the method definitely and I'll contact the seedbank to see what we can do about it. Day 8 to 14 - 24/8 - 30/8 General: Finally, the last of 3 came out alive. All I want is that she makes her journey from seed to weed. I have to underline I'm really disappointed with my seeds, never had so many trouble to germinate a seed ever. But now she's out, it's time to take care of her and enjoy the cycle ahead. Techniques: Nothing yet. Feeding: Spraying with water, to keep the soil moist in the seed location. nothing more. Smell: Too soon. Temps and RH: 34c - 21c (24 average) 99% - 0% (62% average) Pests and plagues: Nothing to record.

Day 22 to 28 - 7/9 - 13/9 General: Taking her time to grow. MH bulbs are making a difference on the development. Can't say I'm amazed, but surely made a difference. and warmer climate. too much I'd say. reminder: still only my second indoor grow, all my experience is from outdoor growing. Doesn't differ too much, like it ain't turnips or cabbage suddenly. Still weed, in different conditions. Better ones. Start to feel the need for new nutrients, been using only Biobizz and wanna compare results. Techniques: Topping done last week and so far she's responding well. Good to see. Feeding: Spraying with water, to keep the soil moist in the seed location. nothing more. Nutes only twice a week. Smell: Early stinky lady. Sweet musk Temps and RH: 34c - 16c (30 average) 80% - 10% (30% average) Pests and plagues: Nothing to record.

Day 36 to 42 - 21/9 - 27/9 General: This was some serious stretching this week! She almost double her size in a matter of 7 days. Amazing. First signs of flowering, here we go! eheh Techniques: cut some of the bottom fan leaves and pre-flower spots. Want her to focus production on the tops instead. Feeding: water, with co2 tabs daily. feeding with nutes twice a week. Smell: Too green still Temps and RH: 31c - 16c (27 average) 83% - 33% (50% average) Pests and plagues: Nothing to record.

Day 43 to 49 - 28/9 - 4/10 General: She's going to be a monster! Removed some of the bigger fan leaves, removed some of the lower bud sites and small ones to concentrate growth in the main tops. Having her straight under the lights in a mere 25cm from the plant is showing great results, with a fan circulating the hot air directly to the lamp, to avoid heat burns. It's my best topped plant so far, she reacted really well. Techniques: Cut some fan leaves and removed some bud sites in the lower and inner branches Feeding: water, with co2 tabs daily. feeding with nutes twice a week. Smell: Getting a nice minty smell. Soon should start getting stronger. Temps and RH: 31c - 16c (27 average) 83% - 33% (50% average) Pests and plagues: Nothing to record.

Another week goes by and she’s still getting fat. The pistils are still very pointy, and white, showing no signs of coming to an end any sooner. Been feeding the same way every week, 1 water and 2 nutrients feeds, good reaction so far. Temperatures and rh are quite stable, due to all vegetation.

Hello again! Another week goes by and this plant isn’t giving many signs of ripening. Looks like it’ll take at least another 10 days before chopping her down. On Sunday she had a trip to the tub where I flushed her, and from then on the feeding will be water exclusively. Balanced off course. The colas are looking compact and very hairy, and pointy. I’d say around 20% of the pistils started to curl and brown, some leaves getting yellow typical from this stage. The light exposure, even though it’s good, it’s not perfect as she shares the space in the grow with another 5 Girl Scout cookies auto and they’re taking over the space, also because of their high height and I think that’s the factor that’s slowing her down this bit, besides it’s normal this strain to go up to 14/16 weeks total. The smell is very pleasant, the kind of “old school” weed I like, smells like the weed from the 90’s Amsterdam coffeeshops. And that excites me a lot. I’m curious about the final crop, as I never had such dense tops ever. Thank you for stopping by, it’s a pleasure to share my info with you guys. Happy grows 🌱💚

I feel like I can chop her down already. Bud is dense as rocks, the hairs got quite brown, and curled and the trichomes are getting milky. Don’t want couch lock weed, so what you guys think?

Judging by the pics and the diary all together I would wait until next week to harvest. It is VERY easy to get excited and harvest early. Patience is key. I like all milky with about 10-20% trichomes amber. Maybe no water for a few days and then chop. Plant looks great though. 💪😎

Hello my dear friends! Hope you’re all as good as I’m feeling 😎 This was the last week for the plant. After a intense 14 weeks, she came to an end, and this week was more to get it ready for the crop. Since the flush last Friday, didn’t give it any feedings at all, to have it as dry as possible. Now it’s time to chop, trim and hang it to dry. Hopefully in 10-14 days she’ll be ready for the first test smoke. The bud is solid and compact like I’ve never had it before, really good quality in that field. EDIT - already cut, 225g green after trim. Let’s see how it’ll turn out after drying it.

Fun growing plant, easy from the beginning to the end, quite dense buds and a very fresh smell like pine/ woods Not a big drinker, very resistant to my inconsistent temps and RH. Good crop in the end, letting it cure now another couple weeks to get it on point. All the trim was saved for further production of bubble hash. Happy weed, like the feeling of smoking this weed

This is a classic strain, even though was an auto version of it. I had to grow it! 🌱 had some trouble with germinating them in the beginning, only 1 out of 3 made it through. After that, she always gave signs of being a healthy and strong plant. Started flowering quite late which helped maximizing her potential in growth. Not very tall, but topped early, made her a very bushy and even plant, making to very big main colas and 6 secondary branches. Wet trimmed 2/3 of it and 1/3 dry trimmed. Should have dry trimmed it all, as the humidity conditions weren’t the best this time of the year. With a busy life, is actually hard to do better than this, but for the amount of time spent the outcome is very good. Maybe should have harvested a couple days or even a week later, but now's too late for regret ehehe Growing indoors has been great so far and I’m enjoying every lesson I learn in every grow. This wasn’t different and now I know a little more about this beautiful plant. Next year there’ll be more diaries, I’m almost done for this year. Can’t wait to enjoy this plant now! ✌️🏻🤯 Thank you all for the comments, for the tips and suggestions, for the help provided, and for all the likes 😅 Last diary now is the weedseedsexpress contest, with 5 Girl Scout cookies auto. After that, I’m done for 2020. Thank you!

I noticed you mentioned that its normal for the NL to go into weeks 14 thru 16. Why do you think seedsman says 12 weeks as the breeder? I have seen other posts here in GD where the seedsman NL almost refuses to ripen over a 3 week period. That grower end up chopping after waiting 3 weeks and not seeing much amber trichomes. I'm curious as I'm growing this same starin. She is growing crazy tall ATM.
TheGourmetWeed
TheGourmetWeedcommented4 years ago
@Cudeech, hi! Yes, and can be longer the period. The breeder says it takes around 12 weeks under perfect conditions. This means a lot of light, proper feeding, perfect temps and RH. For example a plant with 400w at 28c degrees and 30%RH in flowering will take longer than the same plant under a 1000w, 24c degrees and 50%RH. Even though they're autos, seems they extend they're lifetime a little longer to adjust themselves to the conditions until they're ready. That's my kind of explanation. And maybe their genetics for sure, although I see this "phenomenon2 in most autos.
