Hello again,
new home, new setup, same bad habits. I've tried to spawn 5 seed in last 15 days but is damn too hot, i moved them in my basement where temperature is between 22° and 27° with almost 72% Humidity and for now just one seed has come out.
Unfortunately, frustrated by the situation, i didn't marked any of the jiffies and (of course) i've used almost 3 different strains. So maybe she could be a Wedding Cheesecake, an Orange Sherbet or a Malana Bomb. I bet on the Bomb but let's see in a couple of months
Now the plant is in full LST, she's thickening but branches are growing very slowly. I have applied training only on main torso, trying to achieve a nice spiral in next couple of weeks, in meantime i'm waiting branches to build up some guts, trying to reach light and let me train them
Bad news this week, about 4 days ago i discovered a damn bug eating the trunk of the plant, as you can see in the picture above it made a tunnel through her. Now i'm working hard with Neem oil, spraying the branches and trunk many times a day. In the last two days i haven't seen any progress in damaging but the plant has been surely slowed down in growth. To be sure it has a good recovey, i'm feeding with CalMag and Terpinator in a separate soluction (700PPM, 6.30PH) once a day in addition to normal solution.
This week has passed looking for woodworms and spraying constantly with Neem oil, but it was worth it. The plant worked hard to repair the damage caused by worms and now is green and happy.
Now that's in transition stage, i've choosen to cage it to spread at maximum the branches before lollypop
Et voilà, the flowering has started.
Speading branches with tomatoes cage and lollipopping had almost immediately produced good effects on the plant, now she's developing almost two main colas and flowers. As you can see in the picture above, the trunk has recovered well from woodworm, she made a big lump where it was damaged but it seems healthy and happy
This week has passed by with no problems of sort, she's developing many flowers and drinking alot more than the expected, but is wide spreaded and the temperature is a little too high
Always seems to go well, flowers are getting biggr daily and she's starting to smell good. Unfortunatly i have broken my PH meter (and i have to wait to next monday to raplace it) so i'm guessing PH range, wish me luck
Even if i was worried about giving her the correct PH without an instrument, she had no problems in eating all nutrients and continuing develope the flowers. I have started giving some P/K and it seems having benefits
This week was an explosion of flowers! They are constantly building up mass and weight. I've shortened all the nutrients tu add molasses in the mix and not exceed to much with EC.
i?ve taken a couple of saples around the plant, from top to bottom to see at what point are the thrichomes and as you can see they are barely all pale, probaby in a week or two i'll harverst ths baby
So, this was a nice run; even woodworms eaten the trunk at the beginning, she has recovered so well to became a large plant, full o frosty flowers.
They are sticky after a week and a half of dryer, smelly and somehow thick, smoking is a little bit heavy, it smells citrus at the nose but it tastes eartly and a bit gassy; nice one though.
@PurpleWorship,
i think it's some kind of woodworm or maybe a spawn of some moth, it's like a small white/transparent caterpillar, carving into trunks and branches, eating out the plant from the inside; than settles down somewhere inside the plant, trnsform into a pupa and eventually will became some sort of flying son of a bitch. I already had this kind of guest, my last yield was 80% currupted 'cause i find out them too late, so they have propagated on three out of four plants. I had to cut down and trash 5 main colas and many branches to make it up to the end of flowering. And they taste all like hay.
But in that time, i haven't mentioned before, i moved to a new house and to a new setup with all of them in vegetation, so maybe shit happens.
After that, before starting some new plants, i had plenty of time to sanitize the growroom, the fabric pots, even the lights, the fans and the extractor but i don't know why it showed up again; with my actual plant there was another one i had no intention of making a GrowDiary of, she was so small and slow, then i found out there was a damn guest inside, again FFS!; so i tore up the plant, made one liter of water and Neem oil solution and then i started vaporizing on the remaining one.
Than image this scenario of an italian guy who finds out he's got pests again, the variety of the swearing, the amount, the volume! Three or four applications daily of the solution and now plant it seems recovering and nothing seems to live on it, let's see
Ahahahahah, funny diary :D
But i'm surprised your seeds don't germinated in your basement... Temps and Humidity was fine...
Anyway, good luck with your champ 😁
