Finished Week 1 of Flower and they are all looking beautiful and full! I once again, maximized my tent/lights! Really loving the HLGs. I just ordered the HLG 300L Bspec for my next veg grow, along with another 3x3 tent. Would have loved to make the jump to 4x4, but no space yet!
Back to the plants. I had to do some HST to a few taller stems and they recovered well by the end of the week. Accidentally snapped off a top, but hoping to get more colas as a result. Health overall is good, saw a few patches of PM and quickly spot sprayed with Potassium Bicarbonate solution and no further issues. Also implemented Kyle Kushman's advice on snipping branch tips to form tighter nodes for the buds. Left a fair amount of leaves as suggested. So far, seeing great results and just started seeing more bud hairs. I also up-potted one more time to a 7-gal to finish and glad I did. The extra room for roots will prove beneficial in bud development, along with leaving some of the leaves on the stems as it progresses.
CORRECTION! Since I started my profile and first grow diary, I was putting in total nutrient measurements for the WEEK rather than an individual feeding! Anyway, I realized it and made the corrections, starting now!
@Growdaddy420, thanks! I can't wait to see how she progresses...learned a lot from my first indoor grow, so hopefully 2nd time around will work out even better!
They're still vegging, so I'd go hard and alternate serenade and garden Friendly Fungicide with some liquid copper. That's just me, though. I have never dealt with PM, but I do treat with mild solutions to help prevent.
@FoTwenny! Hey there! Check out Week 6. They have bounced back big-time! I did some more research and sprayed them with a potassium bicarbonate/veg oil/Dawn/water solution. Suffered some burned leaves in the process, but they all recovered nicely!
@greenflipcali89, It's a new regimen and haven't seen negative effects, but I only use the copper up until 12/12. I continue Serenade until buds begin to form. My current plan only adds the AG Garden Friendly if there is an active infection. I also use a mild solutions with been and potassium silicate, which both have antifungal properties.
