Log starts 10/2/2020. Having some newbie problems with proper watering and nutrients. I have a learning disability that causes me to sink in details when I'm trying to get an overview of things. Learning about how to grow these plants is hard for me because I haven't learned all the plant's "tells" ... like, when are you ready for veg? Hey veg, when u ready to flower? Hey flower, when u ready for harvest. Re-flushed the plants (PPM was still too high!) until they got to the right PPM level. Made sure I got on a real watering schedule and am sticking to it. And I need to LEARN more by eyesight, not by project planning. I just got the Jorge Cervantes book and am reading it. LST start: 10/3/2020 with stress point rotation planned for every 2 days. Still working on what will be professional tools when I'm done. They will be free - when I'm done. After all, the community has given me years of good weed, I want to give back! 10/5/2020: First LST rotation is already showing results. New stalks are coming up where none were before, it's glorious! These are gonna be some very bushy tall plants with lots of colas (assuming I don't do something really stupid and end by killing the poor little trees! Alrighty, the LST setup with the trellis and yoyo training tool is working like a champ. I'm super-pleased about how this grow is going. The vegetation stage is finally getting some "legs." Sadly, by 10/7/2020 I chose to stop LST for this week. Originally I thought there was a pH imbalance problem, but ... it's nutrient burn. Nutrient burn problems need to be decisively solved first. End of week report: Ciel - 17" Bubba - 11.5" Birddog - 12"

Grow Questions

I have a seedling that is alive but has not popped its cotelydon leaves open yet. It almost looks like part of the seed might be stuck and holding it back. As it stands now, I'm thinking I should just leave it alone and give it a chance to finish the job. Recommendations?

Use your fingernail or tweezers to remove it. It will come off with little resistance. Just make sure you don't tear the roots by doing it, she's very fragile right now, can't be yanking her outta the ground.

Let's say I have different sets of seedlings that will go into a veg tent 2 weeks apart. For example, week 1 = first set of seedlings to veg. Week 3, add to veg tent Week 5, add the next set. Is this even legit? Can you just extend the veg period until they all catch up?

Hey! Yes it could work but I don’t recommend it. I’ll try and break this down. What you want is an even canopy to get even light coverage to have even growth and in the end nice buds. The first ones you add will be taller than the last, now to have an even canopy what you could do is train the first ones as they grow, doing some LST or topping them, so that as they grow your limiting their height so the others can catch up. With a bit of work you could get that done. But the last sets wouldn’t be as advanced as the first ones and won’t have the same size or yield the same even though having the same height. Basically to do this you’ll need to do a lot of training. I recommend you just pop them in all at once and even doing that you’ll have troubles with getting an even canopy and having the same height. Even more if there’s different strains.. sativas and indicas which grow differently. Not even to mention is some or all of them are Autoflowers. If you check out my diaries I’ve got mostly indicas and Teo sativas.. they’re all in the same tent, started together and there’s quite some difference in height.. which took training and adding support to raise the ones that are shorter. Hope this helped you make your mind up. Any questions let me know. Good luck and happy Growing.

@Ferenc, You should look at the plant photos starting from week 1 and into week 7. I can't believe how this plant's health has turned around! SO AWESOME NOW!! I keep forgetting how resilient cannabis can actually be :)

that is a quite common issue, the seed shell remaining stuck. You need to VERY CAREFULLY remove it without damaging the baby leaves.
