cherokee Hey everyone.
I'm starting a new diary for growing Blue Dream clones from Humboldt Seed Organization.
I've already had the chance to try the buds of this strain since I previously grew 3 clones of it. Blue Dream has a wonderful aroma and flavor, very distinct and vibrant.
As I write this, one thought is on my mind... Blue Dream + grape backwoods 😄😜 I think I'll go roll myself a blunt and enjoy that blueberry smoke once again 💪

The clones are growing very well and stretching up quickly.
I've noticed some issues on a few leaves, I hope it's just hunger and not a disease.

Blue is growing little by little, today I did some cleaning and trimming of the bush, and I also plan to do some topping after transplanting into 1.5L pots and actively water with SST tea made from corn, which is very rich in enzymes, minerals, and nutrients, but most importantly, corn contains cytokinins.
A brief overview of cytokinins:
Cytokinins
Cytokinins play an important role in:
- Promoting cell division, enlargement, and differentiation
- Supporting the development of lateral roots and axillary buds, as well as the formation and enlargement of leaves
- Breaking seed dormancy by increasing metabolic activity
- Reducing apical dominance
- Delaying senescence - leaves treated with cytokinin stay green longer. (Richard Lang's effect)
- Stimulating morphogenesis in tissue culture (shoot initiation / bud formation)
- Also has some influence on nutritional signals.
The most common natural cytokinin is zeatin, first isolated from corn in 1961. Cytokinins promote the physical process of cell division by enhancing cytokinesis, i.e., the point at which a cell divides into two daughter cells. They are believed to be synthesized in the roots of plants and then transported to nodes and shoots through the xylem, with their effect gradually diminishing as they move through the plant, in contrast to auxins.
Indeed, it is the balance between auxins and cytokinins that means plants are usually wider and bushier at the bottom than at the top. In 1957, Skoog and Miller showed that the ratio of cytokinin to auxin is responsible for differentiation in cell development, with high concentrations of auxin promoting root development, while high levels of cytokinins promote shoot growth. At equal ratios, simple cell division occurs without differentiation, a function that has become very useful for producing callus material as part of the tissue culture process.
In aging, the delaying effects of cytokinins have significant applications in agriculture and horticulture industries, where they work in various ways, from increasing yields in crops to preventing fruits and leaves from discoloring during post-harvest transport. They are also often applied to cut flowers to keep them looking fresh and vibrant for as long as possible.
Cytokinins are naturally found along with other phytohormones in seaweed and coconut water, as well as in high concentrations in corn/corn grains, which we can use to make seed sprout tea (SST) that we apply to our plants through spraying. This makes it an ideal growth stimulant for the vegetative phase and flowering phase, causing the plant to develop more thicker and stronger stems and branches, leading to larger flowers and higher yields.
Since Blue Dream is a sativa hybrid and it stretches well and goes up, I want to do the opposite and make it shorter and wider, so I need this enzyme to:
"cytokinins, the plant growth hormone that promotes lateral budding, branching, and the development of thicker stems, which improves nutrient transport and the ability to grow heavier crops. It can even be used with double strength to control height, resulting in really squat, bushy plants that are perfect for growing indoors with limited overhead space."
WARNING!!! Only use 100% organic non-GMO seeds, and of course, not treated with fungicides or, in the case of alfalfa, non-magnetized seeds.
I also need the enzyme triacontanol, which I ferment from alfalfa seeds.
"Triacontanol, a powerful plant hormone that stimulates growth, increases photosynthesis by raising chlorophyll levels and increasing root mass, is a powerful plant stimulant that is perfect for transitioning to flowering. It helps maintain close spacing between nodes and increases root mass. It can also be used in conjunction with corn SST during vegetative growth and flowering as a general growth accelerator."
With these two hormones, as well as HST training, I plan to control the growth of the bush.

cherokee Hey everyone 👋😋 !
I wanted to grow big bushes but changed my mind, I've been growing only 3 strains for a year now and I'm a bit tired of the monotony.. I want new strains, so I'm going with 12/12 in 1.3L pots.
Today I did some low trimming and removed the lower branches.

cherokee Hey guys, good evening! 👊
The second week is behind us, and the plants are actively gaining mass despite the small pots. There's a little downside, I'm a lazy butt 😂😊 and I'm too lazy to water the little bushes... honestly, just feeling lazy))) they're clearly lagging in development... but I'll fix that)))
I love the smell of Blue Dream, it's very strong and pronounced, it smells a lot like berries... my whole house smells like blueberries 😋😊.
Today I moved them to a different tent under a more powerful lamp, hoping they'll catch up in mass.
I highly recommend this strain, it's amazing... even though I personally found it a bit challenging to grow, it's worth it, the terpene profile is fantastic, it's not just a plant, it's art 💪😁.

cherokee 👋 Hello everyone!
Ohhh how capricious this Blue Dream is, but at the same time, it's beautiful!
Very sensitive to pH levels, you have to be really careful with it 😁 and I'm lazy and don't take care of it))).
It's already clear that the yield will be small, a silly idea to grow a sativa hybrid in 1.3L pots.

A 1.3 L pot is a mistake for sativa with a 70-day flowering time, it's long and yields very little.

cherokee Hey everyone ✋
Today I cleaned the plants of old leaves and watered them with low ppm water. I also turned on the UV light on the lamp to improve the quality of the harvest.
Just two more weeks of flushing with clean water and I'll be harvesting.

Your cat is cute )) Always in the frame. I forbid mine from going into the room; she nibbles on the lower leaves and sheds a lot. So she doesn’t go in there, but today I pulled a few of her hairs off the buds ))
Why did Mars decide to take it? How does it compare to the UHE for you? I also want to get a new lamp soon, but I haven't decided yet; I'm just looking around.
@Kanndera, 😋😄 she's not just in the frame all the time, she's always with me ))) sleeping, playing, even now while I'm typing with my left hand on the keyboard, she woke up from a nightmare and started meowing (she often has nightmares) ran up to my chair and jumped into my arms, lying there sleeping and purring )))) At first, I thought it was curiosity, I also remember that my grandfather had a cat who wouldn't let anyone pet her but was always with him... she went fishing and even got "hopta" grass for the cows with him too ))) jumped into the cart and rode with him... Now I notice that the cat has some fear if I'm not around ))) I go to the kitchen to my wife, she's following me, I go somewhere else, she's behind me... now she's already woken up and laid down in front of the screen waiting for me to go to the couch))) she has her bed and toys there, she won't sleep without me ))) I don't want kids with my wife, the timing isn't great.... this animal helps us even psychologically))) I just don't know what I would do without her, she makes me calmer and kinder ))) I'm really glad we traded her for a Milka chocolate bar and brought her from some village.... she's a Siberian mutt ))) I just can't imagine my life and the last 8 years without this little miracle... she ruins everything for us ))) yesterday she made a mess on the dining table, recently she ruined my original Timberlands that I wore once and she wrote on them )))) she messes everywhere, breaks, scratches, and tears EVERYTHING... but I would never part with this animal )).
I don't care about the fur ... let her eat, let her run around ... with the cat, it's more fun ))))
I needed to get something for the Vega box + what I got from Ali + there was some good sale with a nice discount, that's how I bought it, I've been using it for less than a month and only in the Vega box, so I can't say much about the results, but the tents are the best I've worked with before (had 3 boxes). I can say the lamp hits hard, I have it without a dimmer and that's very inconvenient, it needs to be used with a dimmer.
UHE is top of the tops, compare its specs with other brands, very effective light. I have the old version of the lamp, now they come out with newer diodes, there's an IR channel with infrared light. There are also downsides... I like my lamp #3, check out the report with the smaller clones... this lamp has 4 dimmers and 4 on/off switches, IR, dark red channel, UF-B, today the light should be mobile and multi-spectral, for example, in my lamp there are also diodes 2700K, 4000K, and 6500K, so to speak, multi-spectrum and the presence of dimmers, switches makes my box more efficient... with one lamp, I run the veg, bloom, imitate sunset and sunrise using IR, for flowering I add more red and before harvest, I turn on the ultraviolet... the UHE lacks multi-spectrum and dimmers for them...
But these are just nitpicks... overall, the lamp is a 5/5 and I don't regret the purchase at all, now I just need to save up $1200 for a new chandelier from UHE.)))
@Kanndera, There are a ton of hormones available))) and they are all easily accessible and, most importantly, highly effective... the topic of phytohormones and vitamins in cannabis is still not fully explored. Alfalfa is a very, very strong fertilizer!!!
@MrHaze, Hey bro.
Yeah, I agree, I had experience with a 23L pot, the bigger the pot, the bigger the root system, and consequently, a bigger bush.
I had a different problem, a lot of clones and no space for them, had to improvise and squeeze 5 clones into a mini box with 1.3L pots, I felt bad about cutting them so I decided to take a risk and put them on 12/12, and that was a mistake. The time, resources, and effort spent were in vain, the yield was very small and mediocre, and if you think about it, instead of these, I could have grown 3 good autoflowers... it's frustrating, that was my mistake putting them on 12/12.
I can only say positive things about the strain itself, I grew the mother plant in an 11-liter pot and got a wonderful yield, I want to highlight the smell and taste of the strain, it's very bright and interesting. As for the downsides, the flowering time is quite long, even with a good powerful lamp, it takes 75-80 days of flowering for full ripeness. If we talk about strength and effect, the strain is frankly weak, it's 70/30 in favor of sativa, I also want to note the pleasant effect on the body.
Looking nice! Can you check out my BD auto grow and see how many weeks you think I have left based on the flowering? Looks like we are pretty close in the grow
@Cannabisnoob, Hi ✋ .
What would you know the ripe bush or not you need to look at the color of trichom through a mini microscope, if trichomes are muddy and partially amber means the bush is ready for harvest. It's also worth looking at the seed manufacturer's website and how much it recommends weeks of flowering. Usually autocolors need 7-8 weeks of flowering with lighting mode 18/6, during this period of time they fully ripen. I would recommend you to buy a small microscope with x60 approximation that you can look at the color trichom, and also look for Google information about trichomes and what they look like when the armor.
We seem to have about the same age for these clones, but they look completely different.
I think yours still need more light where they are. Although all in the mother, they are also thin long sticks ))
