Using ff happy frog amended with azomite, alfalfa, kelp, malorganite and Mycostar mycorrhizae. Then mixed added rainwater turned daily for 2 weeks then rested for ten days inside the tent before planting. 100% germination and then popped directly in the pots. Water, dirt, light no towels or baggies just planted as soon as i saw a sprout.. germinted and up in 3 days
Put them under a T5 light(4") for the first 4 days then the veg. cycle of my 4 600watt leds(6") that have a combined draw of 580watts from the wall. took off and are really in high gear. I'll try to post pics. Old techno caveman here.
Plants are rather large and the trunks are getting woody. So I started LST, THIS IS REALLY EARLY oops yeah like 10 days ahead of my previous grows, 3 disasters that I stressed in every way possible (never ever ever never no no no no reusing soil. Unless you dig nursing sick plants for 7 weeks.). Anyway if I was gonna bend her over I needed to start now. I figure 32"-38" is about the maximum comfortable height for plants in my tent. I flush every other feed with rain water.
Sure you can. Go to the week you need to put the pictures in, right above the photos and videos section there should be 2 buttons, on of them is "edit week"
Day 15 at the pineapple Finally got all 4 plants bent over that took 3 days to ge t horizontal. The branches are sticking up everywhere and will probably be as tall as the main trunk cola if I leave it alone now. This is my first saliva dominat grow and I'm seeing that LST isn't going to be as effective. I'm thinking I'll do what LST I can to the branches that
are sprouting then put up a ScrOG. Having fun figuring these girls out. Staring week 3 here. They do everything big and fast hoping the pace doesn't drop to much after they start getting sexy. I'm also guessing that there will be less defoliation but more watering. Happy trails. Leave a couple for seed. WK 3 EDIT , It's day 21 had some nitrogen one burn and toxic lock for a day or 3 . Flushed for those 2 plants the two that did have the burn and toxic had the water claw so I let them dry and am back on track. Next time I won't add malorganite to my mix even though I did it 4 weeks before these babies came up it still was to much with the liquid feeds taken in. The gnats found us mid week so up went the glue strip. Started really getting them trained , if I had this to do over again I'm not sure I would attempt the LST , I think they get really stressed every bend even if I water a little right after ... like I think they're very confused. Posted a few pic the only chang in the next week or so will be size so I'll update after week 5 if all is well or not :)
Stretching their legs started yesterday. As you can see from pics I have one super plant that has 7 point leaves (9 if you count the little teets) that sisters. almost 2× as big as her 5 point sisters. That's called polysomethingorother and I love seeing those genetics. The gnat problem was solved by drying, glue strips and 2 dietamacious earth dustings. Be sure to turn off LED lights when dusting so fans don't pull in particles...yes I had to take the lights apart and clean them. I over did the water and nutes around week 2/3 but that seems to have been cured with a thorough flush and dry. I do add a little molasses to my flush just to be sure the mycorrhizae are happy , just a guess, they may get grumpy. Expecting big things to come, hopefully just cruising home for the next 4/5 weeks
Still forming new bud to fill the stretch.
One plant just insist on making a single cola. Another is growing fine but still has that yellow burnt pale look ordered cal-last week should be here tomorrow. The other two are really good looking plants.
Just cruisin... very little defoliation if any from this point. Hopefully just fatten up this week, then start the finishing flush. Forgot to mention I learned in this grow that just because I'm using rain water doesn't exclude me from the need to PH after nutes are added checked the PH because the seemed to slow down by a lot on the water usage. I had a PH under 5. Also learned around week 6 that I do need cal- mag and should have been using it. Lastly do not try adjusting the light schedule at all. I'm just a regular dumbass. Leave a couple for seed. :)
Still trying... my biggest problems are always under the plant. Learning to get the ph and nutes right is not hard but I just keep forgetting... huh?
I'll start week 9 today did my last LST yesterday hopefully they opened up enough to just eat and get fat for a week or two. Later, leave a couple for seed. :)
Start of day 63 hereNot much that I can mess up just flushing with r/o water PH 6.4. However I've learned a lot over the last couple of weeks, thanks to all the great advice and photos in every diary here. My big lessons are that you add nutes at a considerably lesser rate than recommended, in my case especially since I amend my grow medium. Also add all nures in the correct order and ph before finally adding any innoculent such as my home made lactobacillus. I'm working on the don't over water in veg thingy. I learned that I really need more distance on the lights in bloom, as I finally raised them 2 inches a few days ago and have probably doubled the size of yield by doing that alone, they literally jumped up. Finally, well so far I see from a lot of other diaries that I've been wasting a ton of space, so I will try a SoG on my next grow to get a better yield. Checked the trychomes this morning , mostly still frosty a few opaque no amber. Allright thanks again and leave a couple for seed.
Day 66 getting close, may harvest tomorrow. I took 2 plants to my brother and he was impressed enough to order some MARS HYDRO and such. We put the 2 plants I gave him in the yard until he gets a closet setup. So my harvest will just be 2 plants. But hey, I'm no longer his gardner haha. Posted a few pics the trychomes today are starting to turn. Happy happy. Day 69 we drove by a dead skunk today and my wife started waving her hand in front of her nose while lowering the window. I couldn't smell a thing. So I guess that's why I clicked, smells normal.
Just waiting nothing happened much this week other than giving two plants to my brother. These plants just keep going they have grown almost 2 inches in height by adding new growth on the top of the buds during flush. My brother is disabled and has been for most of the last 40 years so thats why I've been giving half to him.although it is usually after dry and cure. I gave him some stuff and some help to start his own grow and he is really happy. Thats what its all about. Ok plants any time now. Leave a couple for happiness and seed.
Easy grow. I was unsure how large the plants would get, as this was my first grow of a strain that wasn't Indica. Turns out I had 4 different sized plants and distinctly different genotypes. 3 responded very well to LST while one just never stretched but that little girl turned into a beautiful frosty white Rhinosorus horn. I'll update info after all has been dried. Updated aaaaaand done.
