Kate’s Popsicle (Puta BreathXClementine)

Here we have some Kate’s Popsicle (Puta Breath X Clementine) by Altruistic cannabis from an instagram giveaway, check out their page! Found em to be somewhat slow stretchy starters and really took like a month to get going, also kept em in 1g pots for a bit longer than I should’ve while other stuff I started earlier got more priority, they vegged for around another month in 3 gallon buckets after being topped and tied with a bit of LST before I transplanted into 5g buckets at the start of the week. Pretty vigorous and healthy now, gonna give em a week or two to veg in the 5g before forcing them to flower by bringing em in at night although they may start on their own with the cooler Canadian August nights we’re having now. Pretty stoked on having these to finish up my summer 2020 run, they look killer on other growers’ pages who’ve ran em and the parent strains look ridiculous, here we go!

Took em a few days to settle after being transplanted but they’ve blown up bigtime the last few days, i started bringing them in now too with the 3 Mt.Rainiers and 1 Mystery plant I’m finishing up, can tell already that the 5g buckets are gonna make a major difference in yield for me. Can’t wait to see what these popsicles do in flower mode. Added some bonus pics of the other stuff I have finishing right now just because they’re so gorgeous, super stoked on the 2020 run, shaping up to be my best yet.

Really stretching nicely now at the end of week 1 flower, these are gonna easily be my biggest yielders I think being my first go in 5 gallon buckets. They’re nice and bushy with plenty of nodes which will make plenty more budsites than I usually get, glad I let em veg extra long, i kept them in 1 gallons for like 3 weeks longer than I should’ve just to keep them smaller while other stuff was getting more ahead but they took right off once I started transplanting and letting em stretch. Can’t wait to see what kinda bud these make in the next few weeks.

Bud sites really started popping over the last few days and the ladies seem to be done stretching, they all puffed up into bushes more than really stretch much taller, should make some nice tight full branches of bud over the next few weeks.

Smooth sailing into full bloom now, lots of bud sites everywhere, glad I topped these ones and let them veg longer while my other stuff was getting all the attention. Starting to get some citrus stank on em now, very interested to see what they smell like when they really get stankin coming from some pretty crazy genetics (Puta Breath X Clementine) Haven’t really needed my grow light all summer so far as the weather here in Alberta has been great and sunny pretty much for the whole season but it’s getting colder now, think i’ll need the light for a bit heading into the finish in October, Kinda stoked for these last three to finish up, think I might take a little break once they’re done as I’ve been doing non stop run after run for the last year now and as hooked on growing as I’ve become I think it might be nice to take a bit of time off to enjoy this harvest and not be babying plants everyday but then again I’m already thinking of which beans I wanna run next, can’t see myself stopping for long honestly. We’re in early week 4 and stack mode continues, they started making trichs and resin within the last few days too and with that came the stank and man are these getting funky already, they have an almost rotten citrus sweetness overpowered by a dank somewhat odd dryer sheet smell going on that came on strong and fast, took me by surprise and really piqued my interest in seeing how they develop and change over the next few weeks. Should be some wild terps in the end result being Puta Breath (wedding cake x mendo breath) crossed with Clementine (Tangie x Lemon Skunk) Can’t believe @AltruisticCannabis just gives these away to whoever gets in on his giveaways on his instagram page with every 420 followers. Gonna be some serious funk, can’t wait

Glad I started small doses of Beastie Bloomz and Overdrive with my feed days a few weeks earlier than recommended, my buds are really fattening up now and smelling tasty. Not much to say otherwise, getting there

Here comes the frost, I don’t think these will be big thick bud producers but they’re gonna be heavily frosted and likely potent AF buds, pretty much smelling full on like Bounty dryer sheets now, the citrus is really mellow and dryer sheet terp has fully taken over for now. Probably 3 weeks to a month left on em if not a bit more, not long either way, can’t wait to try these funky smelling gals

Not long now! Days are alot cooler so they’ve been getting less and less sun and more days in the grow room lately but we’re still doing great, the sweet citrus smell is coming back and seems to be over powering the dank dryer sheet smell from the last few weeks. I gave them their last feed on the last day of week 7, time to begin flush for week 8. They’re just puffing up and starting to look a little rough for the finish now, no real fall color fade on these ones.

First week of flush now, got a bit of nute burn from really pushing them with their last few feeds but nothing bad, smelling like some pure rotten citrus funk, putting on their final stack now bigtime too but still these won’t be monster bud yielders in the end, think they’ll be lil nugs of frosty potent fire though.

Dec 20,2020 after cure harvest report Kate’s Popsicle (Clementine x Puta Breath) has nice qualities of both parents with a light sweet citrus hitting you first followed by an almost cookie or cake taste on the exhale, some nugs hit with a much more sour citrus taste that can almost be too much, can have a lemon dryer sheet kind of taste too but that seems to be fading out more now after a few months of curing and the lemon cookie/cake taste seems to be taking over. This is some pretty potent smoke too, she came out heavily frosted and gives you a nice kick after a few tokes showing her potency. The buzz seems to lean more indica but won’t ko you to sleep, really enjoyable stuff to rip on anytime of day.
