I'm getting impatient, I want growth. I increased nutes, I defoliated.
I got the feeling the plants would like more light so I increased the light by 50%.
When I started topping the plants in week 3, I saved the cutting from my 2 healthiest plants. They established roots and outgrew their 3" pots--so I put them into a larger pot together. I'm only growing these for seeds, so I'll be feminizing one with colloidal silver, and pollinating the one next to it.
And the lizard is Sal. He hangs out at all my grows.
10/5, day 51, just decided to go 12/12 tonight. I will count on the stretch to get my slower growers up to the starting gate. But I can't keep waiting forever.
@Ragweed, I have this shelving unit in my closet. No tent. I hang a sheet of black paper with silver emergency blanket glued to it in front and back.

@professor, That's a great price. I'll be following your grow to see the results. I've been using a combination of 2' and 4' fluorescent T5s with a grow area of 12 sq. ft. and a total bulb wattage of 512W or 43 w/sq. ft. I'm pretty happy with them, but I like to experiment a bit, so I might give these a try. I'm sure you have it on your page somewhere, but what is the area of your grow tent? Thanks for the info and good luck with your grow.
@Ragweed, I’m using these right now. A combination of the red/blue and the warm white versions. 3 sets together. LED Grow Light, Aceple 2 Sizes... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0761KKJGQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Looks like you are as new at posting here as I am.
Another question- have you measured you EC or dissolved solids? Your grow is maybe a little more than a week ahead of mine and I'm going to compare notes since I am a real beginner at Aero or hydro growing.
I have not checked my ec yet because my meter is whacked. Got another one and will be checking in a few hours. Will post if I can figure out how.
@MikesGrow,
I take the plug of coco out with the seedling, and gently rinse the coco off the root. I don't measure the solution density, but am using about 2/3 the GH expert program recommendation for nutrients.
Looking good. I would let it grow maybe 5 to 6 nodes and top to the 3rd node for mainlining next time as it gives the roots more time to develop. Either way it should be a great grow best of luck.
Interested in how to do this. So my question is, after you put the sprout in the seedling box for a few days in coco, before you put them in the net cups do you remove the seedlings from the coco?
