11/18 - Week 12 (F35)
Solution PH has dropped to 4.18 and PPM increased to 1038. Plants still look healthy, but I'll start checking on them more frequently. The "autopilot" mentality over the past 2 weeks has resulted in these measurements being well out of range.
Added 5 gallons of water (to the 27 gallon solution) this week without any PH or nutrient adjustment. St. Louis tap water is naturally ~250 PPM and ~9.2 PH, which evened out the solution to 5.6 PH and 750 PPM.
Buds are looking big on a completely different scale from my first 2 soil grows. Trichomes are getting crazy, too. I defoliated today, I've washed my hands thoroughly with soap 3 times and they're still sticky. Really excited to see where this grow goes!
Stability of the plant continues to be an issue. Plant #2 consistently falls over, as the net pot isn't firmly secured to the lid of the storage tote. Additionally, the lid of the storage tote isn't very rigid and bows down in the middle from the weight of the plant. I'm leaning (pun intended) towards doing a 1-plant grow next time with a shorter and more rigid container in the 10-15 gallon range with a much larger net pot. The rapid veg growth with hydroponic should allow a single plant to cover the entire 3x2 cabinet without much wasted time...the only concern would be if something happened to my only plant I would lose the entire crop.
See the last 2 pictures of week 3 for reference. pH oscillating from 5.6-6.3 (currently at 6.3). Temps day/night @ 79/69. Following GH Flora Trio recommended ratios (but diluted down to 630 ppm). Raised to 800ppm today. Have not changed nutrient solution to date.
hey there, sorry to disagree with larimar, but this is clearly not light burn. Light burn doesnt yellow the leafs it bleaches them, the leafs dont yellow starting from the base and between the veins of the leafs . this is a magnesium related symptom. Just add more cal mag. Simple fix the problem will stop spreading pretty quick and the plant will recover. Hope this helps ! 🚀
To me it looks like atypical Lightburn ( you upped intesity=?)
the burns will remain,,, but if you lower the lightintensity,,, plants will grow nice leaves again. Young plants like this get totally clear with 50-75 watt of Light
those Quantumboards have an extreme high DLI output
I'm noticing a major difference between my two plants. They're both in the same reservoir with the same training and feeding. They're the same strain of Bruce Banner from ILGM. Is this much of a disparity typical? Could I do anything to minimize it in future grows?
I have similar problem. With me was LED light, on one side grow faster (maybe stretch more). Than I buy extra led light, now problem is gone. So maybe if you rotate light, every time you water plants
Harvest in 1 week? Close-up pics are of the most mature buds, but most buds are 2-3 weeks behind this. How do you handle discrepancy in maturity between plants? Between the uppermost buds and ones halfway up the cola? ILGM Bruce Banner grown hydro at F63 under 240w quantum board
