If anyone has any idea how long I can veg my seedlings inside of a closet with 2 t5 fluorescents.. let me know! I’m close to harvest with my first round, but they still have another 2-3 weeks at least and i can’t put my new girls in the 12/12 tent on their schedule. TIA!!!
Hello. Sounds like you run a 2 stage garden. With a two stage garden I take clones and then flip the lights to 12/12. At this time I also start my seedlings because it's nice to have everything the same height. If they are regular seeds and you have to sex them I start those 2 weeks earlier. You need to keep those little plants going for as long as you are flowering, then a quick cleanup and get them into the grow room and take clones after 2 weeks of veg and do it all over again. Yes you can keep them going just fine in your closet. A small disk fan to keep the air moving and a good supply of fresh air and don't let them get to hot. Good Luck. Chuck.
Happy as a clam with how lil wedding cake has been growing. She’s doubled her size in 5 days and I had to document it for next week will be more of a drastic change. Can’t wait for this journey!
This week was a bit of a struggle, but baby wedding cake gave me zero issues besides her slight yellowing. I think she’ll be just fine and come out one of my biggest and most happy babies. Nothin but faith!
9/16 transplanted and overnight she shot up and greened again. 👌🏼
She’s been transplanted, topped, and started on her nutes ♥️ I’m so looking forward to this grow... this was the FIRST strain I ever chose, and it didn’t work out in the beginning.. but things happened and I ended up having some GOG Wedding Cake seeds in my hands. Here we are!! 🤟🏼🎂
She fed like a champ this week. Gave her and her sisters some terp tea grow by roots organics. Brewed it in a 5-gallon for 24 hours and they drank it right up. Going to keep increasing the feed dosage until I push them to their limit this time. Last grow I only put 4.5 mL of a&b per gallon until flush and they turned out phenomenal.. maybe less really is more? We’ll see. Stay tuned for future trellis and LST!
So, life has been so hectic lately, but I haven’t stopped my grow. I might have dropped the ball for a minute on my diaries, but I will never and have never slacked in actually taking care of my girls. I love this cake baby, I’ve always wanted to grow a wedding cake strain.. and I couldn’t be happier using garden of green for my first attempt at wedding cake after failing with barneys farm miserably. My beautiful wedding cake girl is now going on her “sixth” week of veg, she’s technically on her 3rd week of veg because i start recording when they begin feeding.... and drinking her nutes like they’re going out of style. She’s a happy plant, and she only reacted negatively to a few splatter spots from the nutrient water. She’s a tough and resilient plant, and I’m so thankful I finally have her growing. Garden of Green was clearly meant to be.♥️💕💁♀️🏻,💁♀️🏻,💁♀️🏻,💁♀️🏻 Wedding Cake is my all-time personal favorite strain to medicate with. It brings me that pain relief any good indica should give, but I still get a nice heady-buzz and slight tightness around my eyes (Almost similar to the effect that headband has on its consumer).. I feel confident, no social anxiety, and not to mention the notes of pepper, wood, and vanilla that just take my tastebuds right into heaven.

Again, it’s technically week “4” since I’m doing an extra month of veg. I like a two-month vegetation period at least.. minimum. I plan on topping this girl again before feeding tomorrow. Once she’s topped a few times, I’m going to let her fill in the canopy of the scrog net I want to put into the tent! Can’t wait. First time trying scrog since the sog was a pretty decent success last run. Stay tuned!!

Wedding Cake has been an absolutely pleasure to grow this time around- I attempted to grow a different breeders wedding cake for my first grow ever.. and I completely roasted her to a crisp with a “flower shield” ...😒 note taken & lesson learned lol. 😂 my girl is so bushy and I snipped a lot of her back to let light hit her more main and central colas. She’s so stinky, and if I know anything about wedding cake strains— her dominance is definitely a cherry pie pheno. Thinner leaves, super smelly and a fruity dankness to her. Can’t wait to taste this beautiful girl.
It seemed to grow really well at first, now she’s curling and isn’t keeping up with her sisters. Once harvested I was really really excited for her smoke, but it turned out to just be MEH. I really am gonna try this one again, I have another run going right now. This is definitely an all day or night time smoke and can definitely be handled by novice smokers.
I think this next upcoming run j should focus solely on 2 main colas. I was not very impressed by the overall buzz this plant gave, but the smell and taste alone are worth it. 3 out of 5 stars garden of green!
