Peed a little bit in my underpants. Excitement, too much. Have failed more times than I care to think about in the last few years. Now it is time to follow the recipe book properly. I'm already astonished.

Easing into flowering season. Increased darkness duration from 6 hours to 8 hours. I can't recall exactly the date, around the 24th-26th it changed. Recorded as Vegetative week in Diary, however, may be almost considered Week 1 of Flower. 12/12 began on the 1st September.

EC 1.3 - 1.4 24th - CO2 system upgrade. Also noticed the difference between plant stem base development. I gather the difference is largely due to the different lights, closer look at power consumption supports the theory? Always want more light anyway but this makes me want it yesterday.. Noticed a fading trend on the 600 Hps power graph.. I wonder; is that a reliable way to monitor the condition of the light globe? Is the gradually-reducing power usage due to globe degrading? 25th - Nutrient tank replenished. EC 1.8 - 1.9. Removed approximately 300 leaves this week, it is hard to tell. I constantly forget and lose count. Some useless sapper branches could be removed, felt the darlings had endured enough lately, so leaft them be. After forever, it seems, the grow room is finally in ship-shape condition. The final components of the grow room design all came together during this Ethos Mandarin Cookie V2 season. Today was the first full day of running 1200ppm co2 levels using a 22kg Liquid CO2 Cylinder and Autopilot APC8200 controller and solenoid regulator. Managed to gas myself a few times, watch those leaks and stay ventilated.

Noticed a fading trend on the 600 Hps power graph. The highest usage the globe was new, the usage since lessens a small amount most days. Is that a reliable method to monitor the condition of a light globe? Is the gradually-reducing power usage due to globe degrading? Cheers :)

Yeah, unfortunatley their only good for a year max. The cmh bulbs are good for 2 years or longer with little degradation. Cheers

1st October - TDS adjusted to 750. Changed drip tray setup, feeding from top of pots now - did have feeder lines into top and bottom of pots. Old tray setup was impossible for TDS testing. #2 - Bad smell from roots that were broken a few days ago when removing bottom feeders. Broken roots rotting in the drip tray. Really funky smell. A couple flowers on top of #1 shot very yellow new leaves 2nd Oct - Nightmare fuel. Random chance I heard co2 kick on late at night, 11pm. WTF? Sky falling! The flower timer had turned on.. No idea why.. 20 minutes of light in the night cycle before I caught it. Had very few issues with the smart power adaptors in use, but now will upgrade this one again. For years was a cheap HPM digital timer then recently supposedly upgraded to Brilliant Smart power monitor. Had years of flawless performance from an Anartelle ET12S, expect will continue to use similar in future. 3rd Oct - Moved lights from 40 to 50 cm. 4th Oct - Replenished water tank after 9am watering (TDS 930, included Ultimate PK, 2ml/l.) Runoff TDS 880 at 9AM. Runoff TDS 770 at 1PM. Something is going on around the top center of #1 Realised today the 'Smart' timer turned on an hour early this morning due to Daylight Savings. Just another bump in the road eh? I flicked everything off early tonight, 1.5hrs early.

Hey 👋 So it looks like it's dominantly on the upper canopy? I look down below the discolored leaves and things look fairly green and healthy. So with that being said I'm also seeing some turned up edges on other leaves. I think they're just having a light/heat stress. I see you moved the light up to 50cm, that's probably the best move so now I'd wait and watch for any new damage...if it stays about the same and the cupped leaves smooth out a bit...problem solved. You could maybe increase fans blowing over canopy to bring any leaf surface temp down. Happy flowering ✌️

5th Oct - Changed the Lumatek ballast from 660 to 600. 6th Oct - Smell is really punching. Wow. Feed TDS 950 Runoff TDS #1 - 900 Runoff TDS #2 - 830 Checked some trichomes under microscope, pleasantly surprised at the number of cloudy and amber. Excitement levels way up there. Cut a bud down, and put it in the grill on a glass plate. Smoked it at 4:20pm. Nearly fell asleep at 4:30pm. Woah. That calmed me down. 9th - missed a few days as went away, my goodness. Survived. Nice. Humidity and temps ran high, likely due to overwatering veg cupboard before going away. Seeing more heat stress symptoms. The ac has been running on auto schedules, however, it should change depending on local temperatures, but has been bugging out. Today in the mail arrived a Zigbee gateway and Temp/humidity sensor and a Smart IR controller. Hopefully will provide better temp/humidity data for ac control. Lowered circulation fan closer to canopy for better canopy cooling. @Experimentgreen - Ahoy mate! Thank you for the help! This afternoon the runoff TDS on both was 1100 - 1200PPM. eh 10th - Ah yes. Weak moment.

yes at least 2 more weeks, ethos has some fire genetics and by pushing the plant for 2 more weeks is and would be the best choice, in 2 weeks look back at your diary and look at the photos and you will see why waiting was important. you came this far in the grow so whats a few more weeks? you will be really happy come harvest time. looks really great, good job on the grow

13th - Checked the power usage data from the AC unit and the Smart logs: around the time heat stress on #1 occurred the AC barely turned on. New zigbee sensor is working well it seems! CO2 tank is almost completely empty. I lost a fair bit from a few incidents I suppose, maybe a lot more than I thought!?.. ..want to look into stopping CO2 when AC is running with smart power switch and app. 14th - CO2 tank depleted. Setup smart plug on CO2 regulator, works fairly well. Occasionally stays on for a bit more than it should, but then self corrects. I can take that as an improvement.. 15th 16th - Replenished water tank - TDS 650 , gave both a good soak, runoff was 1200 initially and eventually down to 800. 17th - Concerned about density - have clipped several sappy buds growing into already thick areas - hoping to improve ventilation within the canopy. Rotated the pots a bit and adjusted the tie downs.

19th - Fast forward 2 weeks? Sigh. 20th - senses are tingling. This room is held together with duct tape, hvac tape, cardboard and bits of junk wood from around the place. It really is a mad-hatter shortcut effort. The door is from the original grow cupboard that ol' mate and myself lugged home from the Salvos nearly 15 years ago.. still doing good things. 23rd - new carbon filter

7th - Waiting for cure to really gush on about it. The couple buds I cut before the harvest had about 3 days of drying and I could not resist them. I literally danced as I smoked pure joy. Dabbed some harvest goo - spicy citrus tang. Out of the park and into orbit. Harvest wet weight - I forgot to weigh many, forgot to keep tally, either way, not too accurate, under-estimate. A touch over 30 heads in all, weighing on average between 20g and 30g each when wet. Will weigh it all again and jar it up in a couple days. 12th - Yield tally completed. Final harvest weight: 27oz. Christmas came early! Ahoy! 19th Dec - The purple. The purple. The purple. Oh my goodness. The purple pheno completes me. I hate to corn this up, but holy shit-balls batman. The other pheno has a nice effect, flavour and aroma, however, it takes second place to the purple. The purple pheno aroma and flavour are my favourite to date. Very nice, switching between them, they complement each other well.
