it sprouted so I was quite pleased, Jones is her last name not a strain type btw.
this is copied from my other diary, i have every intent of doing the same stuff for a while out of lazyness.
16" pots, 1" pond rock in bottom with holes, full of miracle grow potting soil. I'm going to see what happens with Walmart garden center supplies for the most part, tomato plant food for nitrogen and a bloom mix for flowering. I started with a "1200" light that draws 235w with the cooling fans and added more lights every couple weeks as 2 plants grew starting 3 weeks prior. I eventually got another of those "1200"s, a thin aluminum "1000" full spectrum at 100w and 5 side lights that draw under 20w each off Amazon. I have right at 600w total from the socket in led light. I don't intend to use techniques beyond picking off really large leaves and bending stalks away from each other
grew like a weed, the main stem is movin on up, more larger leaves taken. I've had good luck with this plant and at the time of writing have a couple more of this pack sprouting. This was a disappointing week when my Northern Lights had a 2/5 sprout rate and the 2 that did come up were "special". Luckily the place was good to send a replacement.
43 days since popping out. i'm not getting the purple you folks seem to get. it is so beautiful that i don't think that matters, maybe i mixed up the tubes.
I'm quite happy with the growth on the bud sites, the purple just started coming in. though listed as an 8 week cycle on the ad I assume this will be going to 11-12 weeks like the Pineapple did, that's cool but it would be nice to be able to plan rotations.
This thing is amazing, alien looking. The color is gorgeous. I know it is getting close but this one is going every possible day. It will be nice to even the lights out at a lower level, the top bud got way too big.
getting cloudy, getting close, i want this to go to 15%-20% amber, i picked off a really small piece to taste it and there is a distinct berry flavour.
It is time, it has been 72 days since sprout. I'll put ice water in and cut tomorrow. I've dried a small bud and it is great weed, tasty and powerful. It is a shame to cut this beauty down but there are two more coming up that might be even prettier.
the plant was tall and lanky and ended up almost all bud. There's about 3 1/2 oz of beautiful bud and a some for butter and blunts. It relaxes my body after just a couple tokes and has a nicely balanced effect. It tastes like blackberries too, i will certainly keep this in the rotation.
