Polliceverde18 8/9/20 eighth day everything seems to be going well temperature and humidity constant on days without fluctuations. I placed food containers (better to have some bells 😉) over the seedlings to increase the humidity level and promote growth. Until the next update happy growing everyone!!! 🍁👍🤪

Polliceverde18 On day 20, I created a little dome for all the seedlings, misting often to keep the humidity high. Just water with soil already pre-fertilized with Royal Queen pellets. For being 20 days old and all being autos, I think they are a bit small. I see one that is really struggling; let's hope it holds on.

Can anyone explain to me why my girls are still so small after 20 days? I only give tap water without adjusting the pH, just a little less than 0.5 liters a day... I think it’s the light, who agrees with me?

Hello my friend, there is only one thing to determine optimal growth rate which is the Vapour Pressure Deficit (VPD) which is the relationship between temperature and humidity. At this stage you should have 70% humidity and 25 degrees , so it's a problem with humidity. Just try to spray the plants with water up to siix times a day and hopefully it will be optimal for them again. To learn more about VPD and to seriously level up your grow try to read this one : https://pulsegrow.com/blogs/learn/vpd hope this helps ! 🚀

Polliceverde18 26/09/20 lawn update Shift in gears, I'm going back to the 150w HPS after realizing that the issue was the light intensity. Installed today, I hope it goes well for week 5 without heavy stress since I'm in pre-flower. I'm only having growth issues with one northern light, I think it's a root problem and with the high pH. Happy growing everyone!!! 🍁

Thanks everyone for the previous issue!!! I’d like to show you this little plant that, on day 26, is still small and twisted... from my point of view (as a hobbyist), I’d say it’s a root and pH problem. Let me know what you think.

Hey there Polliceverde , looks like some water droplets could also have burned from the light, you can spray, but be careful , thiner spray , it can also affect the growth. Above when you say you dont adjust the pH, at least you should measure the pH. In soil it should not be a problem because the soil contains quite a lot of natural bacteria that will manage the pH quite well. If you're not sure , try bacilus subtilis and trichoderma , this can prop up the soil matrix . When you measure pH you should be watering with pH 6 , outflow should be pH 6.5 , you can get some cheap pH strip accurate to .1 , hope this helps ! 🚀

Polliceverde18 Welcome to all growers!!! Update 09/30, I've made some improvements to my tent to ensure that the temperature and humidity levels are constant so that the girls can grow as well as possible. Improvement also for the northern light that was growing with mosaic and deformed leaves, now with new healthy and vigorous growth. I'm on the thirtieth day and I believe they will start flowering in 5 to 7 days at most, at least the 4 tallest ones. I've also adjusted the pH to about 6.5 compared to the 7 from my tap water. Happy growing everyone!!!

Ahh, got it and thanks for the clarification Polliceverde18. Yeah I agree with you, LED marketing on whats comparable to 1000W can be misleading. What I look at is the ppf for both and then also consider the color spectrums gained as well. So if we use your example, I believe a 1000w HPS on outputs somewhere around 1850µmol/s depending on the exact manufacturer. If we look at for example the Mars Hydro TS3000, which is stated by Mars as being a good replacement to 1000W, it outputs 1095.6umol, but although its less output, its more efficient with the spread and spectrum. In your case if you are limited to 100W consumption, you would have to lose quite a bit more in umol to run a 100w light. An example would be the Mars Hydro TS 600 which would meet your requirements for 100w but it just wouldn't be sufficient to replace 1000w HID. I am currently running a TS3000 alongside my 600W HPS and its amazing to see the power and heat differences. The TS3000 only pulls about 3 amps compared to my HPS pulling at least 6 amps. I would say the TS 3000 is a great replacement of the 1000w if you are able to accommodate more than 100 watts.

I have a humidity problem when the lights go off, it rises to 80%. I made this mini dehumidifier with coarse salt and I should mention that during the dark hours I have a fan and a humidity extractor running, but it doesn't drop enough... Any advice? Suggestions?

Use some salt or rice but they will not do so much. Let the air ricirculate in to the room you are growing. I think u need a dehumidifier in italy now is very humid , i can flower only cause i use my ac to drop down the humidity in the night, in the day i can open the window and the humidity drops down. Hope tu help u, my english is bad tells me if u want some tips in italian 😊💪🏼

They look over-nuted. Dial back fertilizer strength. if using a p/k or bloom booster, dial it back too. since you are in flower i'd cut it in half for a couple fertilizations.. see how it responds... The dark, glossy leaves and canoeing is a sign of too much fertilizer.

Polliceverde18 Very disastrous growth cycle, and among various strains, she was the most resilient, even though with 27% THC, I find her a bit light... maybe the cause was the various stresses. PS grew at around 22 degrees on average with a lot of humidity throughout the cycle. Highly recommended, especially for beginners like me!!! If you like it, leave a like!
