More of the same as the buds continue to fatten up. However, foxtails are beginning to show and I prefer flowers with dense calyx formation. So I prepare to harvest a bit early for a light clean high rather than the more stoned effect of fully matured cannabinoids.
I thought 2nd place was a walk for first on the contest. Then I saw this.... really cool dude and surprised I missed it all this time. Congrats on the grow and the win. 👍👌😎
@Mr_BFL, if you have a larger container for the roots not to become so dense, you can run the nutrient and air supply internally. This makes for a nice clean system with less chance for accidents as everything is self contained. Hydroponics is so much fun :)
@Mrs_Larimar, it is a fairly basic system which you can see in the follow-up 2nd week in the video clip. Essentially, I decided after my first entry into the solo cup challenge with rockwool, that the small 473 ml root zone needed to be completely available for the roots. Otherwise, the plant is stunted and stressed which caused the early flower response. The rock wool solo is maybe 20% of the size of the same seed batch with the same nutrients so I wanted to minimize this outcome. I will share a comparison pic once the rockwool and regular hydroponic plants.
Very interesting will have to watch this one. I want to say cheating but it is in a 16 ounce container and I don’t see how the roots can leave the cup. I’m curious on how the water drains, I would think it would over flow the cup.
