Hello This Diary will be for one seed of Tropicanna Poison should be in the tent by next week sometime Germination will take place as soon as I have the extra Buckets Delivered. Looking forward to testing sweet seeds genetics. Shout out to the team at sweet seeds for sending these seeds to me free of charge. What a great place ! Tommy, Jaypp & Apolo Thank you for allowing me to test this pheno :) Here we go germination imminent. I usually get 100% seed germination and to those wondering how I do it here you go. Soak said seeds in water for no more than 24 hours remove them it does not matter if they have popped or not after the 24 hours in plain water or reverse osmosis water if you wanna be a perfectionist anyway then after that period get some kitchen roll or toilet roll and layer plates with it place seed in middle and continue to layer. leave for 48 hours in a dark warm place. water if necessary NEVER let the seeds or medium dry out. This way I seem to grow every seed I germ which is unheard of in most circles. Happy growing :) Taproot seen planted into rock wool :) await sproutings 2nd to the sky is the Tropicana poison :)

So again i think this plant also is being effected by the ph imbalance. You all must be thinking hey hes a dwc grower surley he knows the importance of correct ph. you would be correct though in my experience i find that adding ph down to my res actully over feeds my seedlings to a point that they are slowed down dramatically this is why I do not ph the water on the first pot I just refresh it every 10 or so days. All these seedlings have 6 or 7 weeks before they are full mature mothers with my other diaries 2 weeks into flower this should work out perfect timing to get 2 crops in maybe before the end of 2020 because my god dont we all need it hehe.

I didnt check this pl;ant in a week after i fed her and she loved it :) Thanks for all the comments people keep it green :)

HI guys so the tropicanna poison is growing very well in fact abit too tall so I fimmed her around about 5 days ago the same as the killer kush we have moved her into the new tent we have also shortened the air lines and updragedd the air stones and pump for this tent so a 17l per mineut of air is being shared between all 4 of the plants so its safe to say we have alot of oxygenation in the water which should benefit the plants expedentionally . to grow faster in hopes :) More training will be done when she has recovered being flushed this week to clear any nutes up from last weeks feed then we will set a higher ec and feed again :)

Hi growers I know this is a sore subject that has been raised ever since we started cultivating our beloved plants. here we go. Defoliation around the 3rd week of flower if plants are healthy ? pros and cons would you do it ? do you do it ? What results do you see ? Thanks :)

Organomananswered grow question 4 years ago
No, in my opinion. don't touch it. Each and every leaf is providing the energy for your plant to grow. Removing healthy green leaves just reduces your plants capacity to produce energy, slowing growth. Leaves also provide a ready store of vital growth elements such as sugars, carbs, amino acids etc that your plant will draw upon during flowering. It is far more efficient for your plant to re-use these "stored in the leaves" reserves of vital growth elements than it is to manufacture them from new during flowering. So, not only does the removal of healthy green leaves reduce your plants capacity to produce energy, it also robs her of vital growth elements she needs to grow her biggest and best flowers. This is why leaves will go yellow on well fed and healthy plants during flowering, the re-use of the stored elements she has in her leaves. Leaf removal will require new energy be spent on replacing the lost, previously stored elements, energy that can then not be used for flower production. Try only removing yellow leaves, for by the time they are yellow, they have served their purpose. Further, plants can not "channel" energy anywhere, all energy is used throughout the entire plant. "Channelling" energy would require a brain or conscious decision making. Clearly, plants do not have brains. The deranged idea that by removing leaves will somehow force a plant to "channel" energy to "bud sites" is dumb. Those "bud sites" are relying on those very leaves to photosynthesise and produce the energy required for growth. Plants will grow their fastest and best if all green leaves are left on the plant producing maximum energy for maximum growth. Fewer healthy green leaves = less energy produced = less reserves of vital growth elements = slower/smaller growth. It is plant biology 101. Cannabis has evolved over Millenia to grow her best and biggest flowers. Getting rid of perfectly healthy green leaves is not part of this evolutionary process. If cannabis would grow better and bigger by losing perfectly healthy leaves, she would have evolved to do so. As she has not evolved to getting rid of energy producing healthy green leaves for no reason, I see that there is absolutely no benefit to removing healthy green leaves, but I do see a lot of negatives and handicapping resulting from removing healthy green leaves that are producing the energy that your plant needs to grow her biggest and best flowers. Over 35+ years of growing cannabis, I have never seen a healthy plant ever getting rid of healthy green leaves for no apparent reason or benefit. I advise to leave all healthy green leaves well alone to do their job of producing energy that your plant needs for optimal growth. People worry about stupid things like "fan leaves are shading "bud sites", so lets get rid of fan leaves, that will make the "bud sites grow more". This is utter nonsense, those "bud sites" need those fan leaves to produce the energy required to grow those "bud sites". Plus, after 3-6 days, those bud sites will grow from underneath the fan leaves anyhow, making the removal of the fan leaves pointless. On top of all this, those tiny small leaflets associated with the flowers can in no way produce as much energy as just one healthy green fan leaf. Less leaves = less energy = less growth. It is that simple. Sorry, de-leafing as a principle rubs me the wrong way and I tend to get carried away explaining why it is such an outdated and bad idea. Your plant does need every healthy green leaf to produce energy so that she can grow her fastest and best. Less leaves = less energy produced = less/smaller/slower growth. Here endeth the sermon of Organoman. I hope it helps in some way.

HI guys so yeah as you can see we are pretty much out of control :( Whoops well looks like its going to be a good yield roll on 3 more weeks so I can give them a well needed defoliate. decided against defoliating this week I figured I would try and bend some branches so they get into the light a bit better. its literally a jungle in there these sweet seeds phenos grow like nothing I have ever seen. 3 week veg limiter on these babies in future lol though we are getting some nice colour here :) yes that is how you spell colour :) 😂 👊 Just a note I have started using a new PH down thought Id mention it. as I am really impressed with it. The PH down in question is from Dutch pro PH down grow. This stuff is amazing and you use less than you would do with more concentrated straight phosphorus. Update Drying room done :) took around 3-4 hours but we have 12 separate lines for hanging. with a built in fan to the unit at the bottom pointed horizontally as to not blow directly on the buds pretty please with it if im honest when im dont i can just put the shelf back up and i have my wardrobe back :) Jobs a good un :)

So start of week 7 the trikes matured super quick on this and yes the buds that grew up past the light are not mature but I couldn't do anything to prevent this. Anyway I pulled her out the tent she's been flushing for 24 hours already so Ill leave her in the dark for 24 more and then start chopping she measured around 5ft and 9 inches in the end very red and purple :) I had to wear gloves and my arms are very sticky other 2 are coming down next week on flush tomorrow. 👊 She was topped once and seemed to have worked though the bleaching is my fault :( well see how she tastes in around a week or so :) cropped updated pictures will update harvest when dry :) 4 or 5 days 👊

@Esoteric_growing, Nice man we have to stick together in these un certain times :) Yeah each to our own My outdoors tend not to go the best though I am quite new to growing outdoors in uk. Though next year I intend to burying a pot with a premade mix of soil and nutes and seeing how I got from there I have a Varity of over 20 different strains and over 60 seeds. Though i plan to grow the majority alot will not be grown as I have mutiple seeds of the same pheno and I like to mix it up and have a Varity each 8 weeks lol. intend to start creating my own further down the line. Ahh why did you move back to this place I would love to go to spannabis one year :) Judges pass the lot I think it would be a great little break from work when it rolls around :) 👊 good luck with all your grows anyway man hit me up if you ever need anything advice or you know cuttings blah blah I always keep vegging plants aside incase I need to take them myself and my cutting process is pretty fool proof :)

@Ferenc, Different stages, including different systems different environment's I still have another 3 grow spaces I am yet to utilize. I am trying to get a SOG section sorted but I yet to buy the things needed to create the air flow I'm going to need ect. I live in an apartment building on the top floor which means I am the only person with access to the attic meaning its all good space to me. SOG sets ups ive seen can fit in 5 ft tents so lets hope we can imitate some of this I dont know what I will do if I am constantly cropping plants at the end of every week but there are worse problems to have right lol thanks for your in put man Only a few hours and I will update the flower tent so if your still knocking about have a little browse I think they are looking great for 2 weeks since the flip some are much better than others though I will admit :)

I do the same when germinating my seeds, talked to a fellow at the local greenhouse and supply, this is what he told me. Soak seeds for 16-18 hrs, roll in great white, (mycorrhizae), place in wet paper towel just like normal after a day and a half I had a tap over an inch long with all kinds of little roots. Just thought I'd share, I was really impressed👌 Later Grow Big!!

northernMikecommented4 years ago
@@undrcvr_europe,Great white is mycorrhizae, just a name brand, there are a few brands out there, I use it when I transplant, sprinkle some right on the roots then place in the transplant hole. I mixed some with water and molasses to feed my plants as well 1L water/2-5mL molasses/1mL great white, noticed an immediate response from my plants💪 Hope this helps Happy New Year👊 smok'em if you got'em

@Fruitgrower,Luckily I don't care what you think lol Not to be rude but I have been working for around a year to perfect my current system now let me explain why I have done the actions I have so you can more understand more. Right being a DWC grower I tend to use very large concentrations of powdered nutrients now these nutrients are potent so over feeding is even more of an issue than it usually is with dwc. Right because I do not run a RDWC system and I treat each plant individually. They all have different feeds as to what stage of growth i presume them to be at. When you run buckets like mine it is very hard to compleatly empty a bucket without moving or stressing the root system of the plant. So every time you feed you are only topping up what feed the plant has left over from the previous feed. So you can either let the plant use up the nutrients its own way or you can do what you are suggesting which is pump more into her and hope that the remaining feed is not concentrated enough to tip your ec over what you have set it at so. I figured if you just top the bucket up with ph water for a week you will force the plant to uptake the little nutrients that are left giving you a much clearer base to increase the feed going forward. I dont think you are also taking into account my training methods i topped the two largest plants on purpose over a week ago to let the others catch up ready for thier training they should be bushing out to fill the space more. I have been cultivating for over 6 years pal Im far from a noob I know what I'm doing lol These plants have never had any ph issuse it was the barneys farm that did thats why its so small atw the moment.

Fruitgrower
Fruitgrowercommented4 years ago
@TheUk420Show, I'm confused. Not dissing but your plants look kinda small for 9 weeks and your nutes and ppm seem super low. They should be getting around 750-1000ppm at this stage and one would expect to see double the size...

@Sweet_Seeds, Cheers for advice Apolo I think we just made it higher the light about another inch and that should be that for the next 6 weeks :) So if it grows one large main cola if you add high stress training like Topping or Fimming does this mean you will get multiple large colas ? I can only assume so ? well fasten you seat belt and get ready to watch your ladies boom :) 👍

@NugLife420, Thanks man she is finished. Being a perpetual grower sometimes plants need to come out early for whatever reason lol though the trikes on this plant started maturing at the start of week 6 so I'm confident shes still going to be nice :) On top of that it absolutly stinks harvest update will be next week after one or two more days dark and flush :) 👊 thanks for the comment bro best of luck for your plants

@Eldritchscotchtober, Ahh yes you can see the large main bud has white bits in thats the bleaching effect you can also see its burnt all the hairs off which is not good :( but this plant is being harvested in on sunday so not a huge problem for me :) yeah some of the buds from the gorilla girl diary just shot up so large they were burning which isn't good but sometimes cant be helped i have now pulled them all out the light to try and stop it happening the other 2 large plants are going to be harvested next week and a fresh lot of flowering plants added after and 4 more updated :) Youll be fine with your plant shes looking really healthy. I agree with you some of the growers on this site are on another level :) 👊

Looking good, I am too battling crazy high humidity during lights off. Options are limited to turning up the extraction which means they will be too cold and negates the point of having my heater on or investing in a dehumidifier which I think is the right choice. Unfortunately the humidity levels here in the UK are through the roof at the moment bro

@Esoteric_growing, Thanks pal :) Yeah i still have some left over from my previous harvest so not in any rush at the moment I am trying to time it to harvest at the end of each month but yes very busy :) Built a diy dwc system to try out in a few weeks with 4 new phenos :) I hope the lights will increase the yield a lil bit i added it originally because the temps were getting too low and it has worked though I bet the plants can use the extra light looks that way anyway hehe thanks for your comment and congratulations on the diary of the month win :) well deserved :) 👊
