Proxy #1 Cancelled, "Aya Purple"

Hello all you fine folks. This is Week 2 w/ Mrs. Aya. This update covers Days 7-15, her pot up and first feed. The Deets: The Good: -This has all round been a great start for me and all the girls, Aya included. She is a little runty but is definitely coming into her own now. 1.5 days behind her counterparts (replacement for failed Banana Krumble) but is catching up and growing at a very satisfying rate. -Great color on her and really good stem strength. Feel that I've found the sweet spot w/ the SF and no stretching is occurring whatsoever, with no visible signs of heat/light stress👍 -Was a little anxious about her first feed using the new line I've chosen, but she took it wonderfully... Not a single leaf drooped, no burn, no sign of over-fert. She just started to move faster and faster. -Same w/ her transplant to 2 gallon, I felt she may be a little pissed off at me afterwards, but there was nothing... didn't' even happen as far as she was concerned; just kept going. -Overall very pleased with her so far. She has a lot of life in her and I'm excited to check in on her in the mornings to see just how far she's moved again. I think she's going to be a special one😊 The Bad: -Nope👌 The 'Meh': -I am revamping some of my methods, one of them being to properly automate and acclimate the large tent unit with smaller plants. Not as easy as I thought and have been achieving a less then optimal RH. I've domed them a couple times but I'm determined to get this unit to act exactly as I'd like it too. New devices are in order... -Weather change in my part of the world. Both RH and temp will dip out now which makes the aforementioned acclimation a little harder to achieve. That being said, I don't mind fall/winter grows. Had a much easier time controlling my environment then in summer, so no biggie👍. Notes of the Week: -Tested all soils before use this time, hahaha. That hot seeding soil last time is burned into me and I'll never use a medium without a slurry test from here on out. Potting soil, seeding soil, and Promix all came up aces and are exactly where they should be. -I cut the bone meal from my soil conditioning for pot up, this round. I will be amending the soil with it on the 2-5 gallon move, but I feel some of my P/Cal issues last grow came from this addition to early on stage of life. That, and I am using Miicrobial mass now and it's micro nutrient breakdown (specifically P/Cal) may make that bone meal break down faster and be taken quicker then we'd like. -3 to 5 gallon fabrics were a pain, so this round I'm using 2 to 5 gallon fabrics and will pot up before they have a chance to bind and/or root into the bag. Last go I left this a week too long and this was a brutal experience trying to get them out. I ended up cutting the bags because I was risking big damage to the plant. Would like to avoid this, this time, and the 2 gallons already feel and look like they'll be an easier move then prior. -Because I'm a little too cautious when using a new nutrient line, I am slowly working into the Future Harvest Program. I started with M-G-B but the remaining additives were what I knew. When I saw no issues I moved to their Super B+ and Propogator Root Dev., which also caused zero issues. I will be expanding further into their line as I test each Nutrient/Additive. So far, so very good👍 -Saving some power and have the SF closer but at a lower intensity. The new side dial makes things stupid easy. Currently upping my LUX on a daily basis and am sitting at 19k atm. By end of week 3, I plan on having these girls at 35-40k (If they're okay with that). -Lastly, I would like to up my transpiration rates and am considering Co2 supplementation... I have the material for a DIY, but I think I'll go w/ a legit kit or O2 Bag. Hoping a buddy of mine that can help me out with this and source me a free but SAFE! unit. -Not Lastly.... Oops! By Sept 20th I will have pictures of the new proxy project and all the equipment used. This is a private grow but express permission has been granted to showcase the grow and the girls as we move along. It will be a 4 stain multi-grow journal and will not be touching any contests. This is an adventure I'm sharing with a long time, close friend, who wants to become self sufficient and grow his own. He will be just as responsible for this grow's success as I am and so far him and I have meshed very, very well. This is how I try to pay it forward and once he has a good handle on the process, then he will spread the word and keep this ball rolling👍👊. A final selection has to be made, but all girls are up and ready to go, healthy and very happy. This journal will include 4 of these 5 choices: Green Poison (sweet seeds), Northern Lights (i49), Violator Kush (Barney's), Granddaddy Black (i49) and L.A Amnesia (Paradise Seeds).
