Seed soaked for 24 hours, then placed in rockwool on a heat map.. Seedling popped after 6 days (Day 0). Plant got first set of "real" leaves on Day 1. On day 4, moved to 5 gal bucket with about 15 quarts of water/nutrients to hit bottom of net pot, and moved into tent.
Added humidifier to help keep up humidity levels, a fan to move air around and help strengthen the plants, and a pump and oxygen stones. First full week being in DWC and everything seems well.
Had to turn on carbon filter, as plants are starting to give off a bit of an odor. Also found a few "mining" lines in a few leaves. No real leaf damage. Also found out this week that you shouldn't use EH Cal-Mag and Sturdy Stalk at the same time. Oh well.
This week took a slight cool turn in weather. Hope it doesn't effect too much. Also moved the tent in my grow room so I could hook up ventilation to to outside. Not sure if there is a corilation, but humidity is dropping. May have to just turn up the humidifier and watch the water reservoir more closely.
Last week of vegetation! Plants are growing really well. Switched nutrients 2 days early to get on the same schedule as her sister plant. The base is now wider than the bucket lid. Huge growth in foliage and roots.
A lot of growth again. Starting to really smell up the room, and trying to get this figured out. Also took out the humidifier. The humidity is staying around 50% without it now.
All is well in the land of green ladies. No issues. A week without the humidifier is keeping the humidity in a good spot.
The plants looking a bit 70s bushy. I've only trimmed a few leaves that weren't looking so hot. Outside of that, I was planning on just letting it go, being my first grow and all. Next time around I will do some trimming and training.
I can see it may get difficult in the near future to easily swap out water and nutrients by just moving the lid to another bucket because the plant is getting so big. May have to siphon it out or something. I guess I'll worry when I get there.
Lowered the lights from 15 to 12 inches above the canopy. This thing is growing so fast. If it gets too much higher (teehee), I may have to do a little tie down or something.
Flowers are starting to bud a lot more and getting tons of little hairs in the nodes. Looks like a bushy all natural lady.
This lady won't stop growing and can't move the lights up any higher. I think it may be stretching because of the low watt light. There are definitely some trichomes there and a lot of flowers.
This is where all the work and waiting starts culminating. The flowers are looking great, some leaves are starting to brown at the tips, and it just looks amazing.
Tent smell is amazing. This and my lemon haze combined is a serious citrus smell. So, so good.
I just got my jewler's loops to look at the trichomes better. So cool.
Starting ripening right now. There are some amberish trichomes, Could be because of brushing or the fan blowing. But the change is starting.
Gave a huge trim this week. Not sure it I cut off too much, or too late, or what. It was just getting so full in the tent that they were growing into each other. There were a lot of really green leaves and young buds at the bottom and interior. Not sure if those buds will be viable. Might just go into the shake. Which I may have more shake than bud anyway.
Smells really good in there. Can't wait.
Nearing the end of the plant. She has done pretty well. This week There are no added nutrients. Just plain water. Now just waiting for trichomes to start changing.
Ugh. Still waiting for the trichomes to change color. Flowers are blooming a bit more though. May not be as far along as I thought. Could be do to the "weak" light or should have trimmed up a few weeks earlier than I did. Now it's just a wait game.
Decided to go another week with just water. I will be going back to low Nutrients until I see a change in trichomes color.
