Hi all, Hoping I could get some help from you all and experts to understand if I am doing anything wrong. My Dutch Passion - Think Different Autoflower has popped and I do see the Cotyledon leaves; however, it seems to be drooping. 1.) Am I overwatering? My rockwool seems to be pretty moist. 2.) Should I keep the humidity dome off? My dome is at 97% humidity 80 degrees. My tent is 49% humidity 78 degrees 3.) Should I just transplant to my DWC bucket and put small nutrients in/ hydroguard/great white at this point? 4.) Is my light to low/high? I have a HLG 135 V2 about 18 inches at 20% power. See pictures.

Switched nutrients to Jacks 3 2 1 and saw some major growth between the weeks. Feel I will put the autopot on by the end of this week or early week 4. Saw some potential leaf septoria (or just nutrients). Also some Mycelium or fungus. Either way, I have increased the top feed and am planning to turn on the aquavalve. Thinking of removing the middle Think Different as it is sharing the lights from both HLG but not growing as much. Thoughts? I do not care about yield as much as just having a good quality product as this is my first grow. Feel free to leave any feedback.

Week 4/5 (Day 34) - Looking like they are about to flower soon. I am noticing that all three plants have leaves that are curling down and specifically my Think Different 1 (right) is a dark green with some weird leaves. Not sure if this is pythium, nitrogen toxicity, or light heat? The only thing I really changed was adding an extra fan for circulation and raised the lights to 18 inches. Anyone have any idea what this may be and what I can do? I know it may be too late to defoliate but do you think this will be an issue? This symptom is almost always caused by an excess of Nitrogen! Too much nitrogen causes dark green, clawing leaves and sometimes but not always burnt tips. I’d back off the nutrients and just use plain water until you see her recover a bit!

Trying to battle some overfeeding / nitrogen toxicity. Have reduced my nutrition on Jacks 3 2 1 to 50% strength. This is putting me at around 1.0EC, which I think is the right amount for these autoflowers.

Week 6 - Started to flower. Still had some nutrition issues with leaves curling, so I lifted my pot out of the trays to give a little air and break from the bottom fed water. Also reduced my nutrients to Jacks 3 2 1 at 50% strength. It has started to recover but definitely seeing some leaves that are dying.

Seeing some major growth on all plants. I did turn off my aqua valve for a couple days to let my plants get some oxygen. This caused some major growth. Kept Jacks at 50% strength. This has been working effectively so far. May increase to 75% (around 1.5EC, 750 PPM) which I am concerned will be too much. 1.) Still seeing some leaves dying at the bottom. I have been lightly defoliating; however, being careful as I do not want stunt during flowering? Should I not remove these dead leaves? 2.) Also seeing a ton of mycelium or fungus on my medium. It is covering the entire pot. I am having problems with air circulating but have a fan at the bottom and up top, just nothing oscillating. Is this going to be a problem? What can I do? 3.) Is there a better way for me to utilize my fans? I have a clip on fan above the plants and a fan at the base (behind my TD 2) that is circulating up. It is getting bushy so I feel it will be tough to put an oscillating clip on near the plants. 4.) Should I remove the TD middle plant, which is smaller, to give more room for the other two, which is growing. This may allow for better fan placement. Wondering if this is worth the risk to maximize my other two plans. Thanks all

Hi there, You should only defoliate if there is a good reason.Like do some defoliation to lower down tent humidity,to make a good air flow if too bushy.Defoliate some leaves If they are damaged or shaded below the canopy.May be some lollipopping if there are too many pop corn buds underneath.Other than those, I wouldn’t do.Happy growing... ✌️

I am seeing a ton of mycelium on all of my autopots. Because I have a bottom feed system, it is hard to keep my top medium wet without getting mold. Is this going to effect my end result if I do not do anything about this? Should I leave it alone or put sand on it? Thanks all

I don't think I've ever seen that much Mycelium without mulch or purposely trying to do that! I would just leave it alone and maybe put some barley mulch on top of it. Damaging it could cause more of a problem than a solution!

-Problem: Not sure if this is Nutrient Lockout or Nitrogen deficiency (i.e need more nutes) or Fungus (see stems) -Medium/grow method: Cloud Coco 50/50 Perlite on AutoPot - 15L pots with reservoir attached -Feed and supplements used: I have been using Jacks 3 2 1 at 60%, which is roughly 653PPM/1.3EC. I was doing 100% from late veg to week 1 flower (990PPM/1.9EC) and saw some nitrogen toxicity on one plant (dark green) so I dialed back to 60%. Also have 2ML/G of Hydro guard and no other nutrients. This is all being bottom fed through reservoir. -Water source: Tap Water - 42PPM plus Jacks 321 at 60% - currently at 653PPM -Strain and age - Seedsman Amnesia Auto (left) and Dutch Passion Think Different (middle and right). About 8 weeks in (56 days). -Climate: Day Temp (78-81, 50-60% RH), Night Temp (74-76, 45-55% RH). Res Temp (69-71) -Light used: HLG 100 (4000K) and 135v2 (80% power). All lights 24/7 around 10-15inches -Additional info: Plants have had issues for 2-3weeks. Seeing a ton of mycelium on top of medium due to stagnant air issue and Great White overuse during seed/veg. My leaves are yellow but some are turning green, which I feel is telling me they need more nutrients. I know people advise against going above 1EC but I have seen both strains handling 1.5EC and up through other diaries. Given I am in week 8, wondering if the fact that both my outside plants have yellow leaves, leaves dying on bottom, and also on top means that they need more nutrients (I know it is normal to see fan leaves turning yellow). I do see other areas that were previously yellow, turning green. This is more of the sugar leaves. However, I also think this could be nutrient lockout, as I am not seeing much more growth and I am seeing more leaves on top start to die out. All three plants are drinking the water as my tray needs to be refilled quite frequently. I am at 6.0PH and 653PPM in my reservoir and tray. My coco slurry test is showing my medium at 6.0PH and 500PPM (1.0EC) so it is close to my tray and res input. Any help identifying this is greatly appreciated.

Hi! I think everyone missed the thing that you are growing in coco and perlite mix and not in soil. Coco is soilless media and it needs to be treated like hydro pH wise. So you need to follow the rules of hydro grow with the pH, but nothing else has to change. So the optimum pH is 5.5-6 for good nutrient uptake. You might have and pH lockout going on if you have followed soil guidelines and also I personally think that 1 Ec is actually quite low 'cos I've found that in my hydro the sweet spot seems to be ~2ec. OFC every grow setup is their own and mine does not necessarily work for you, but you could lower the pH and if that does not help, give slightly more nutes. Also coco "sucks" calcium and magnesium so you need to add those a bit more when growing in coco.

Week 9 - Day 65 - Ladies look sick and I am trying my best to get rid of any dead leaves. Given I suspected possible nutrient deficiency the last couple weeks (feeding at 550PPM / 1EC to 650PPM 1.2EC), I decided to up their nutrients to around 75% strength at 790PPM/1.6EC. I am using Jacks 3 2 1 and have seen both strains handle 1.6EC+ in other grow diaries using Coco / Perlite, so I figured this is the optimal time in flower where I would want to be at that level. Not sure if I made it worse but I am still seeing leaves dying and easily pluckable. Although, I feel the bottom half of my Seedsman Amnesia Auto and Think Different 1 have turned more of a green color. The top area is still yellow and in my Think Different 1 (right side), I am seeing curling in almost every plant (all yellow leaves and no drooping). Ironically, my Think Different 2 (middle) looks the best at a nice green color (some mag deficiency). Again not sure if this is nute burn, deficiency, fungus but I am paying these ladies are able to fatten their buds in the final weeks of flowering (I have around 2/ 3 more weeks before harvest). They are drinking through the reservoir at around 3 gallons every couple days. Any suggestions are welcome on what is going on and how to fix it. I am running this on 50/50 Coco Perlite with 4 gallon Autopot system (bottom feeding) My temps are fluctuating from 76 (night) - 84 degrees RH% is 49% (night) - 57% Problem: Not sure if this is Nutrient Lockout or Nitrogen deficiency (i.e need more nutes) or Fungus (see stems) Medium/grow method: Cloud Coco 50/50 Perlite on AutoPot - 15L pots with reservoir attached Feed and supplements used: I have been using Jacks 3 2 1 at 60%, which is roughly 653PPM/1.3EC. No, they should not look like that. You are either under feeding, have a nutrient lockout, or other pH related issue. You’re plants are showing some deficiencies for sure. What are your environmental conditions? If VPD is way out of line it can explain this too. So there are a number of possible causes and I don’t have nearly enough info from you to provide anything further. Good luck

Try dropping you pH to the low end of the recommended range (5.7) Looks like you’ve got an N lockout or some type of salt build up even though you said it’s not a bottom up yellowing issue. I would flush. Good luck

Day 70 - Bad week for the ladies. I increased nutes and it continued to get worse. I figured it is nute lockout so I flushed with 6 gallons of Florakleen and 6.0 Water to each pot. I flushed until each plant was ~400-500PPM. When flushing the Amnesia Haze, I noticed a bad egg smell, so I am thinking I also got root rot. After flushing, I did a light feed of 40% strengths Jacks 3 21, Hydroguard, Cal-Mag, Great White, Recharge and Terpinator to get to 550PPM / 6.0PH. Trichomes are there so I will start flushing with straight water soon to the Think Different 2. I am thinking of feeding the Seedsman Amnesia Auto and Think Different 1 with light nutes and bennys so they can recover a little. I will be flushing soon but hoping that the Amnesia Haze will recover. Ironically, the Think Different 2 (middle) is going to be my most successful plant. This is the one that I was thinking of chopping early on in veg, to make room for both the Amnesia Haze/Think Different 1.

Day 80 - I am seeing recovery from the last couple weeks. Somewhere in November, I had root rot and/or nute lockout which made my two of my plants sick. I decided to do a full top feed flush with florakleen and added nutes/bennys to help them recover. So far, it seems the Think Different has recovered nicely. I have taken them out of the autopot trays and will be top feeding, from now on. Think Different 2 - Now my best plant, is still green and has white hairs (maybe 20% orange). I decided to flush fully (20% runoff) with PH water, every day or 2, to remove any of the synthetic nutrients prior to harvest. I am thinking in the next 7-14 days, this will be ready to harvest. Looking for 70% orange hairs and cloudy trichomes. 1.) Flushing to 20% run off with 6.0 PH Water (no florakleen until the very end). Run off PH is around 550PPM - Is that expected? Will it eventually go down to 100PPM or my tap water level as I flush more? 2.) Is it normal to start to see the green leaves up top wither or is this another deficiency? I know these will start to turn yellow as I flush but this seems to be shriveling. Should I just keep flushing or adjust? Think Different 1 - This one is a week older (but stunted) so I am seeing more hairs. This went through some light feeding the last week as I saw some signs of root rot but definitely nute lockout. She looks much better but most of the leaves up top are withering. I am thinking this is going to also be chopped in the next 7 days (maybe sooner). 1.) Really watching out for bud rot or banana as I do not want this to hermie on me. Is that a concern? I notice my top bud is getting fatter week over week. Wondering if that is a result of light stress or because of recovery? Does it look normal? 2.) A lot of the sugarleaves up top are brown. Should I keep removing as much as I can? Seedsman Amnesia Auto - This poor one had the worse root rot of them all but the flush really helped as it is getting greener but also not smelling. I am thinking of chopping this early to, to prevent any other issues but I do want to flush and also see if it will recover more. I also fed this some light nutes after flushing to help recover. 1.) Should I cut this to prevent any issues from this to spread to my other plants? I am flushing because I have been using synthetic nutrients and feel it is necessary to get rid of it and get better taste. That said, I know people feed til the end and was thinking of feeding the sick ones to the end to let them recover as much as possible before harvest; however, I am concerned that will sacrifice quality. All in, I love how these Dutch Passion Think Different strains handled a first time grower as myself. I made many mistakes and they kept going. Cheers and hoping that this becomes successful. I feel I will have something to harvest. Would love anyones feedback/opinion on next steps and what else to watch out for.

These went through some nute lockout a couple weeks ago and have seemed to recover and I am anxious to harvest as soon as possible to prevent any further issues (bud rot) Dutch Passion - Think Different breeder recommendation is 11 weeks to harvest and I am at week 13, but am still seeing new buds/pistils forming along with straight white pistils. Seeing around 40-50% brown hairs and cloudy trichomes but no amber. These are all sativa so I would imagine this would be mostly cloudy but the straight white pistils are telling me that this may need another week. I am feeding light nutes until harvest. My plan is to do one last feeding with just PH water / Florakleen and leave it for 3 days before chopping. Should I start this now or wait another week? What do you all think? Happy growing

Flowering times and harvest time depends when the plant starts to flower. You want to give each plant a good 8 weeks flowering typically. She looks close, Will get a little more chunky but overall just gonna ripen up for a great harvest in a week or so. You should be flushing already and getting ready to harvest, but depending how heavy of a high you want you can let it go more or less. Right now Looks mostly cloudy, so you can harvest in like a week for slightly more uplifting high, or let it ripen up more and let her go for like 2 more weeks for a stronger heavier high. Analogy; Like Bananas will go from green to all yellow, (Yellow representing cloudy trichomes), then they will start to get black spots and eventually turn solid black. So people like more black dots then others. (like Amber trichomes) Ideal banana would be one with some spots but mostly yellow, right now your 'bananas' are nice pretty yellow, but would be best to let them ripen up a touch more. If that makes sense at all.
