These 16/17 plants will all be a 100% manifold tent. These will replace tent #2, which has approximately 6-8 weeks. 4 varieties from ILGM, all seed, all Fem, all manifold. All started from seed in paper towels week ago, and all showed their heads over the week. If any fails, I'll replace it with a clone or auto, making a full tent of 16 plants.
Week 2 of this Manifold Tent. All healthy. Transplanting into 1 gallon pots, till ready for final pots. Plants under a 1500 Viparspectra LED, on 50% power, at 18 inchs from plants. Light feed water. Waiting for the first topping in about 2 weeks. That's all for now.
Manifold 101 Tent
I'll be using 2 manifold methods for this tent. I'll be doing some the old way (NugBuckets), and the new way(Nebula). The latter supposedly cutting a few steps, time, and performs the same as the first. We'll see...
Anyway, the plants are doing real well for 2-3 weeks. I introduced Mycos+ root stimulant, so I'm thinking it works, considering my plants never look this good at 2, going on 3 weeks. Bring on the 3rd/4th week growth spurt. Still using week juice @ 300 ppm. Will increase weekly as time grows by🙂. I had 17 seeds pop, but 2 of the 17 are stuck at their true leaves. Oh well, 15 will do. I'll throw in a Auto to bring me to the tent max (16). 10 topped so far of 15, with the last 5 behind a node or two. Genetics. (Shrugs)10/12, all topped. New revelations on diary weekly update 😏
Manifold 101 start week 4
All plants(15) have had their first topping, with a a couple done the old way, and the rest being the new way.
I'm trying one plant, #1 of the lot will be a combination of both ways. First the topping. Then the second topping as if I was doing it the old way. There's basically 4 Colas at this point. The next topping would make 8 Colas. Here's the rub. Instead of topping the 4 to make 8, revert to new way (Nebula), making those 4 Colas turn into 16! Following along, or lost? Watch and learn...😉
Anyway, increasing the TDS reading up 100. Waiting for space in a tent. Most training and last transplanting will happen before that point. Probably a month. The current crop should be flushed and harvested by then hopefully. The Mani's need AC, only available in tent/closet. Will take individual pictures as we progress on...Till then.
NP Islands by The Flower Kings
Oct.18, Wow, training and trimming15 plants ain't a easy task. Most will be done the New Way(Nebula Method), a couple the old way (NugBuckets Method), and 2 or 3 my method, which is a combination of the before mentioned, except these will have 16 colas. Nebulas method is definitely quicker with less recovery time. A couple of the new method ones are already completely done with trimming, with just a lil' more training is all that's left besides the final transplanting. Nebula has this nailed, and will be my primary method from here out...if the final results are good.
Cuts about 2 solid weeks off the process.
Manifold 101
Start of week 5. Plants are all doing good, with everything at different stages, except the Nebula New Way method plants, which are further along due to shaving off the time, of NugBuckets Old Way Method. About 2 weeks further along. A big plus. I am interested in how my Both Way Method will do. With the extra colas(16, instead of 8,) it could help make up for time lost with the extra cutting/toppings. Will see.
Juicing at 400 TDS. Most plants are wire trained already, and others further behind have their first training started. Tough keeping 15 plants trained and cut. They need daily tending. 2 - 3 weeks, I'll have a tent ready for these ladies, right around they're ready for their final transplanting. Glad my big girls(Steve's 2nd Tent), only need 10 minutes tending a day. *Helpful hint: Mycos+ Root Innoculant is the Magi. koolkat recommended
Start of week 6. All 15 girls have been transplanted in their final pots, and have been initially wired and trained. Still waiting for a closet or tent for these manifold ladies. They took their transplanting with minimal stall/shock. Looking very healthy. Roots by Mycos+. Buy it.
Addendum: Forgot to add I'm experimenting with Coco Coir with a few Manifold ladies. Reminder to up the TDS in juice, plus extra Cal Mag for Coco pots.
11/1/2020
Moved the manifold ladies to a clean tent with AC and Humidity control 😊
Moved Manifold Ladies to the clean and empty tent. All is well, plants performing nicely. Gonna let them grow out a week or two before any more training or defoliation. Increased the nutes for the ladies, with the coco getting a little more, plus Cal/Mag. No bugs or flies so far. Hopefully with less watering, AC, and dehumidifier, the conditions should improve. Till next day week, happy growing! 🙂
Nov. 9, dammit, split a stem training a Manifold lady. Eeeek. Taped her up with grafting tape, hoping for the best. Eeeek. 😭She gets left alone for a few weeks. Till week 8...
Update on split stem: Ok so far 🙂
Week 8 and the last of Veg, which will be switched to 12/12 this Sunday 15 of Nov. Ladies are standing at 20 - 24 inches, and half their intended length, about 40 - 48 inches, which leaves enough space for raising the light/s. I'll be adding supplimental lighting about 2 - 3 weeks into Flower, though not sure if I'm using my 315 watt CHL, or if I'm gonna use 2 more 100 watt LEDs.
Depends on the weather/heat, and if I need to save cash on electric... which is high already with Lights, fans, AC, Dehumidifier, etc.
All the lady Mani's are healthy. Perfect green hue, no burned tips, no buggies, but a little crowded... will update at switch over/weekend, with some individual pics to show the difference between methods of Manifold. Some done NugBuckets, some Nebula, and a couple done with both methods, and more Colas. I did it, my way🎼🎵🎶🎹🎤😎
9th week, and 1st of Flower/12/12.
All healthy. Added 200 watts more led.
Plants reacted the same day. I'm in the flower stretch 😅. Increased nutrients, and add flower additives also. Still no buggies. Using yellow sticky paper just the same. Plants been little tending other then watering once a day if needed. Coco is sucking more, and needs water every day. First time with Coco in a few. Will post Coco thoughts. So far 👍
Week 10, 2nd of Flower(day 12). Ladies are getting too tall. Gonna need to shorten the chains/wires. Out of rachet play. The flower stretch should be nearing soon so... shrugs. A few leaves are dropping in the lowers, hopefully it just the Flower stage. Everything in looks good other than that. Bud sites forming, and the fan leaves are huge! Juicing at good rate, with coco's getting more, plus extra Cal Mag. Till next week...happy growing! Small update. The flower stretch has tapered off. I bent the colas getting too tall, and they(buds) responded like lil soldiers arching toward the lights.
Manifold 101
Week 11, start of week 4 of 12/12, and the day 21of flower...
Bud sites coming in nice so far. Little pillows of cotton balls. 🤗
Each plant taking a pint to quart of juice, a little juicer for the 5 Coco's, with extra Cal Mag 😌
15 plants in all. Too many. Was not able to do proper training, due to crowding 😔. Next time(6 weeks or so), I'll knock it down to
9 plants, which should actually yeild me more product in the end. Also the Nebula Method of mainlining, is the best. Time wise, performance, more natural grow, and controllability. Less plants, bigger pots, all Nebula Method from now on. Live and learn🤗
Other than that, no bugs, all healthy, mostly defol'd, and its mostly watering, and let them grow. It's just checking for bugs, nute defin's, humidity/temps, and letting them grow. 6 - 9 weeks till harvest... depending on genetics. 4 strains in this grow😳
Week 12 Manifold 101
Start of week 5(12/12), and day 26 of flower.
Buds stacking up nice on the Colas. Wow, everything is getting crystalline. Mmmmmmmmm.
Not a lot to add. All healthy. Day temp at 79/80, dark time at 72-74. A couple white flies, but keeping under control with sticky paper, bug pellets on soil, and bi weekly spaying of Green Clean.
Check out my Helpful Hints at the comments at end of week 11.
Tell me what you think. There should be a section for that. Till next time...
Week 13 over all, 6 week of 12/12(...or Flower 🌷), and day 35 of the same:
All is good accept a couple of those pesky white flies. Though under control, they piss me off. Using sticky sheets, green cleaner, insect pellets on top the soil(and keeping that said soil, dry on top), and this handy electrified plastic tennis racket, I swat em' with. Crackle pop. 😂
Still heavy juicing, and no burn. Buds are stacking nice, but a little crowded in here. Lost control of these girls during training. Next time 9 plants in the 4x4 tent. Probably less if I wasn't greedy. I think I can control 9, as long as I keep the plants at 8 colas per plant, and use a grid and yoyo's for support and division/separate. You got keep em separated 🎸🎼🎶🎵😂.
Nebula is the way to Manifold.
Less time. Less stress.
Updated with some 35 day close ups...
Not to bad for 35 days. The Magi...🤗
Christmas Eve so this will be short and sweet.
Week 14 over all, 7th week of 12/12, and day 40 of flower. Will need a grid and yoyo's very soon. These girl are gonna need support. Long stem roses? No but close. All is pretty good. Getting stinky in here...Merry Christmas everyone!
Damn White Flies! Sigh. Really not too bad. Just a pain in the ass. As you can see the colas are a little lanky, but frosty. Just didn't have the time, or proper knowledge. Oh well. I'm still happy with results. I'm toning down the nutes, and will be flushing in a week, with cropping to start end of January. Then a break...till next week.
Threw some new pics up.
Saw a few seeds popping out of a cola. But but but but but, fem'd? Go figure...
Week 17, 10 of Flower (12/12)...
Let the flushing begin, with a cropping in 2 weeks. No nutes other than some Molasses, lightly phased out through the week. Colas/buds are frosty and stinky. Yummy sticky. Fan leaves are yellowing. Flooding out every other day. Little problem with white Flies, but with the buds almost done, I don't want to spray, even if it's a 'green cleaner'. They're not too bad I guess, just always appear at the end of the crop. Pisser's. Getting anxious 😅. Smells yummy 😋
Till next week fellow farmers!
Next up, Manifold 201, where I perfect the system...
Still flushing, left new pics. 🤗
Coming along real nicely! GDP gaining any color yet? If it’s anything like mine you’ll just check it one day and be pleasantly surprised to see some purps!
Good looking out man, these are the types of diary’s I like to see.. informative, experimental and full of information you can use towards your own grows.
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Steve's Helpful Hints;
Powdered Backstrap Molasses is easier to mix in your nutrients juice. Little more money, less mess/fuss.
Stage Light safety cables/leashes to secure your lights, fans, and other heavy items. Quite handy. Loop on one end, carabineer on the other. 2 to 3 feet long. Someday you'll curse me for not doing it, or your crushed plants will😳.
Give up compusting your herb. Go Storz and Bickel Volcano 🌋
Your lungs, wallet, and singing voice will thank you. Mine paid for itself in a month...Crafty or Pax for portable 🤗. I can't burn anymore. Tastes terrible, yuck🤣
Mycos plus Plant Root Innoculant. This is magic in a tub. That's all 👍
Buy a Dehumidifier. You're welcome.
If you're mainlining, go Nebula. Saves time, stress, and just plain works better. Leave room for growth. Width and height. Remember, more isn't always better. You'll get better results not crowding. Ex. 4' x 4' tent, 9 plants is perfect while mainlining. I've done 12 - 15 in above tent, and there wasn't room to train properly, resulting in not uniform colas, with airbud in the lowers, and not good light penetration obviously. Your mileage may vary 🤗
Having great results with True Plant Science or TPS. Currently using TPS - One. I found it better than AN.
Also having good results with a powder flower additive called Flower Fuel. It does what it names.
