Moving outside Friday and gonna put into a 7 gallon fabric pot in my backyard. She was starting to flower Bc she was getting less light while I was away but no big deal. Excited to get her outdoor. I will need some products for pests like neem oil. Hope your all doing well!! Happy grows

My guess is since you just added the led the plant is experiencing a heavier nutrient draw and is showing a slight mag deficiency. It’s normal and will adjust on its own so there is no need to add anything at this time

Do stems stay somewhat soft throughout vegetation? Wondering because I’m still able to bend the branches on wemy bagseed that’s 9 weeks old that’s still vegatating. My auto that’s about a week into flowering are hard like sticks... probably a silly first timer question

Yes it's a common thing, usually they tend to reinforce themselves during the flowering stage, since they need to be strong to hold your heavy buds! Don't worry they'll become hard when necessary ;-) I'll be around, good luck with these beauties!

Plants looking a little light in color... I just moved her outside so will the nutrients in the rain take care of that or should I add nutrients? Also I just bought ready to use “captain jacks” do I just spray everywhere?

Hi there! At first sight this can look like a Zinc+Iron deficiency. Judging by the last informations onto your diary I see you did not fed her this week? That could be a clue, but I've also seen that you just moved her outside while she already has started flowering --> that's a serious issue, and you might give her a few weeks to adapt to her new parameters (outdoor environment + back to veg). If your daylight time allows you at least 16h of light/day she will recover and go back to vegetative stage, and growth fertilizers will dramatically help her in these hard times. I'll be around, keep us up-to-date so we can help you to adjust parameters if needed, and happy growing!

@Jaindoh, thanks for the help! I ended up getting a can jam locking system. It’s working well so far I’ll prob rig something together soon

That’s usually a phosphorous deficiency.

Ok so basically I’m praying that my set up comes today, it should.... if it doesn’t what’s the best way to continue to care for my seedling until it does? I’m getting it as much sun as possible during the day and I make a little 2 liter soda bottle dome. Do you guys/gals think it can survive this?

@bobo420,ok awesome thanks for all the help.. I’m gonna go out and get a bigger more breathable pot tomorrow
bobo420
bobo420commented7 years ago
@Shazaaam, they could use a bigger pot until the end that's for sure. You can try putting a few holes in the (new) pot, or using oxypots or fabric bags, it will give more oxygen to the roots and ensure that your root ball is developing well. When watering you can water around the edges of the container, so that the roots do need to do 'a bit of stretching' to get to nutrients and water instead of watering in the middle of the pot.

Very very even canopy, that's excellent. Under a 400w, you should penetrate all of that. Much of any further planning you would need to do would be to avoid larf at the bottom due to poor penetration. Thus, you appear to be good to go to flip to flower. If you have room and really want, you could even get a 5 gallon aeration pot, fill the bottom, plop the entire 3 gallon bag you got in there, and then fill around the sides, then give it a week to recover before flipping.

@Jaindoh, exactly the answer I was looking for and kind of figured. In my head makes sense but when it comes to actually executing, I would run into those exact problems.. there really is no rush on it so I might as well go big and let it do it’s thing come fall. As for the seed my friend who sells gave me a bag of shake, which was really nothing special, but throwing that seed half assed in another potted plant I had going and it sprouting (to my surprise at the time) is what got me where I’m at now. So I don’t know any trace of genetics but I would assume it has a higher chance to herm. That’s for all your input!

Jaindohcommented7 years ago
@Shazaaam, It's possible, but there are some things to take into consideration. If the grower you got it from bought feminized seeds like I do, they're actually hermaphrodites. XXXY, which was a shock to me. So, they only express it when they have light pollution during their dark hours mainly. Hence they sell them. If you can't make 100% sure it's going to stay dark enough, that's a problem. They're likely to hermie. If you forget to move them, that's disrupting their light schedule. If it gets to where it's humid in the shed because it's a shed, and there are flowers on the plant, they won't like it. Mold, stringy low yield, etc. But, in theory, yes. TBH if it's safe outside I would just put it in like a 7+ gallon container and wait, itll get ridic huge and yield crazy at the end of the year. If you need bud before your autos come, it could be a problem; but this probably wouldn't be a solution anyways.

Shazaaamcommented7 years ago
@Jaindoh, thanks!! I am going to move to a bigger pot. My plan is to move it outside June 1st. I have autos running in my tent and did a poor job of planning. So moving this girl outside and letting the autos do their thing inside seems to be the best trick. Question; is it possibly to induce flowering early outdoor instead of waiting till the fall? Let’s say it’s getting too big or something, could I move I into a dark shed every 12 hours?

Hmmm... Unknown Bag seed .... does it really worth to Veg a plant such a long time without even knowing if it is a Female ?? Usually that kind of manifolding is for Feminised seeds or clones from a female plant bro.

@Shazaaam,oh, ok , I see 😊
Shazaaam
Shazaaamcommented7 years ago
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, appreciate it. It’s shown preflowers and it’s female. I certainly wouldn’t be going through this. It’s also more to clear up space in my tent, as I’m filling it with autos. So I figured let this one go through summer outside.
Ganjalf
Ganjalfcommentedweek 67 years ago
If you really plan on letting her veg out all summer, shes gna be huuge mate :D you can do a lot of topping/pruning to try to keep her short, once these babies start to grow they dont stop! 🙌

@Ganjalf, im going to have to do some major training. I’m just kind of winging it as i go. No rush as I have 2 autos in my tent now. So I have to veg this plant for at least another 2 months. We’ll see how it goes!!

bobo420
bobo420commented7 years ago
@Shazaaam, :) no need for that, I'm always glad to help, if I can. To me your plant looks great, a bit thirsty but that could just be the lights coming on so, no major problem there. The leaves look good, healthy, big, a little bit too green from what I can see from the LEDs, maybe skip a feeding or two and give her just plain water, you clearly don't have any deficiencies so she wouldn't have any problems with that. As for the different color of the stems, it could be a couple of things but mostly it's just that kind of a strain, if you had some major deficiencies you would see it on the leaves too. Magnesium deficiency can cause the stalks to change color and you can easily adjust it by giving her a shot of calc/mag or some epsom salts. And for the inner node growth - again, she looks pretty healthy to me, maybe it's just a pheno like that - an nice short compact plant. You can top her or try some LST to get more branching but she's looking ok. And you've heard right, generally male plants show bigger growth, depending on their genetics it may be short or tall

Shazaaamcommented7 years ago
@bobo420,bobo my friend! Question for ya lol, I should be sending you half my yield, but I respect your opinion. How come my plant isn’t really growing upwards and seems to be concentrating more on inner node growth? Also I heard shortier and stockier usually females, any truth to that? Thank you again, I’m very grateful

While I don’t usually recommend growing bag seed based on the fact that you are really never sure what you are going to end up with when harvest comes around. These plants, however, look absolutely wonderful!!! Doing a great job thus far, and I am looking forward to seeing how these finish up for you. Keep up the good work!!!
