The little fellers keep trucking along nicely imo. By no means am i trying to produce large amounts. It’s more of learning and taking notes if that makes sense. There’s been weird yellowing/purple on the lower leaves and wonder if it could be PH. I’m using Spring Water and prrrrobably should get a PH stick. Only other thing I can think of is nutrient burn? Any input of course is always appreciated.

The two amigos keep swimming along. Water consumption has increased. I’m thinking the fan is contributing slightly but no worries.

I’m not sure if it’s the genetics or what but some leaves are developing a purple hue with some yellow. The new leaf growth doesn’t have it but any input is appreciated. I’ll post a pic in my diary. Thanks!

I'm going to go on a different route regarding your symptoms. I see purple to blackish dead splotches on lower leaves, severely affected leaves with metallic purple color contorting and withering, those are textbook symptoms of phosphorous deficiency. Since you don't mention it I assume you are not measuring nor adjusting pH. I believe you might have deficiency due (a) pH been in the wrong range, or (b) after 6 weeks of veg growth that 1 gallon of soil is somewhat exhausted of nutrients, so either pot up to bigger pot or start feeding.

Growing steady and decided to defoliate both plants. I’m having fun so we’ll see what comes of this adventure. Still unsure if the purple coloring is genetics or natural leaf due off. Any input is always appreciated!

Moved the girls to 3 gal pots with fresh Fox Farm. Hoping it will help with some deficiencies before Bloom. Going to Veg for a couple more weeks then it’s show time. Much thanks for everyone’s input!

Short post this week... Thanks for everyone’s input on the leaf discoloration. It’s been 2 weeks since putting them in larger pots. I’m going to be switching them over to flower here next week. Super excited to see how it goes!

Sorry for the delayed updates & poor photos. The girls are doing great and moved them from the closet to a more controlled environment. I went another week of veg and into bloom last week of April.

Week 3 of flower & im excited watching my girls grow. I’m dosing between waterings and to be honest not sure how much to be dosing but am sticking with 6ml of Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom & Mammoth P. I’m starting to tuck leaves on the bushier girl and letting the taller one do her thing.

Anyone have any insight on defoiling fan leaves/leaves during bloom? Is it recommended at a certain week or should I avoid altogether? Much thanks!

Do it after day 21 of flower or you might stunt the stretch phase. The idea is to expose leaves that are connected to lower buds that are otherwise shaded by upper leaves. Some strains don't need to be defoliated, and some others have elaves right on top of each other, which promotes high humidity, which is something to be avoided. If you've never done it, don't over do it, you can always pluck some leaves at a later day. If you look down on the plant from the very top, a defoliated plant should have enough foliage that you still see green, so the light won't just reach the soil

This week has been a blast to watch the changes. I upped the feeding a lot and I'm watching closely. So far so good in regards to no nutrient burns. Being my first grow... I'm just going with the flow and really reacting to what I think the plants need. My big question at the moment is cola size or the flower sites in general. With my nutrient increase could i possibly see more "volume" increase? I had to slightly pinch a lower flower site leaf to get an idea of the terpene smell. Holy Smokes its fruity! A lot of Grape undertones... Thanks for those that have been following. Almost to the home stretch! On to Week 5...

I apologize for the delay... Week 5 done. No issues & continued to defoil slightly. My outside girl will take a week longer I believe being Sativa Dominant. I’m feeding heavy on nutes... and both are taking it well.

Week 6 complete and the indoor girl looks to be finishing early... Majority of the flower sites have cloudy trichomes. I'll start her flush here on Monday for 2 weeks along with some heavy defoiling. The other girl outside has started yellowing on her fan leaves at the bottom ( good sign of her aging?) Trichomes are all clear so... I will give her another week of heavy feeding before flushing. I'm proud to see how far I've made it juggling between the 2 girls! Haha... It's hard to describe the feeling knowing I'm about to harvest my own special reserve. Thanks to those who've been watching and giving input. I'm excited to show you the progress at the end of the week!

For my first grow... I’m thankful to have this site to track my progress! The support from others and rescources are not to be taken lightly. That being said, Ocean Grown will always be my go to. Strong genetics... the girls grew healthy and strong with no issues. My only regret was not training or preserving the pheno for the future. But hey! You live & learn. The final cured bud was amazing! Strong grape profile and earthy when smoked. The effects are relaxing and calming. Looking forward to trying out other strains!

Hey brotha, ninja fruits, at least mine, don’t like a lot of light in veg, they also seem to do well with heavier feedings, but as you are using fox farm I’de hold off on feeding for atleast 3 weeks to a month

Yes, with more nutrient increase the colas could get bigger or denser as long as your watching for burn. Just always try to push them to their limit to when you see slightly burnt tips and you'll always get the best out of them they can give you.
