So this is my first attempt at hydro.I love sweet seeds strains their auto flower strains are always very stable, have great dense nugs, and they just all around come very close to the specs they list for their strains. This dark devil strain is supposed to be almost black with red highlights. I’m gonna try purpinator again to help it along and also botanicare sweet berry so far I have had limited success with the purpinator activation the purple coloration if it’s there. So I’m hopiNg soaking it might help bring out the colors and I use sweet all the time this strain is supposed to have berry notes so I’ll let everyone know how it comes out. Purpinator not terminator but I’ve tried adding the purp one
Moving along now the ph finished up a bit higher then I would like so I dropped it with some acid. Since then it back to boogieing along got a little bit of sludge if you know which one it is I’m using that would cause this let me know
Got some spots I’m not sure if I should up the cal total for the weeks mixture of suppplement mid week by dosing the current mixture mid week what a week for growth looks like it doubled in higher and mass got good thick branching shooting out
Anyone grown dark devil? Buds just started showing and they are coming in colored is it supposed to grow with that deep rich black/purple. Or do they mature into it or maybe the purpinator. I’ve seen it react when I was out of terpinator, it made a non purple strain turn purple
The ones that are purple off rip normally end up with more of a black look in the end.
It might not be a Cal Mag issue you're having. It looks to me like you might just be blasting it with more light and nutrients overall than it can handle. That solution temp it's pretty gnarly too. I'll be updating my dark devil tomorrow, check it out if you think it might help. Mind you it's actually a week younger than what it says. ✌️Peace homie and good luck to you.
Maybe lower temps but give it a week till the budsides develop a bit more.
I mean not all of them turn super dark some a little some, some mostly green, and then you got the fully black ones that look amazing its just luck.
The buds are coming in now the top is still stretching I got it in the big room last night when I made the new mix I’m 2 days early this week on the diary because it was easier to do it this way still having cal/ mag issues it appears I’ve tried bumping the ph up a little and down a little with no noticeable difference , and I’m always staying within that preferred range
So cal/ mag and dwc everything seems to be going great atm but I’m still getting necro from the leaves storage I added in some bloom stuff this time around. Also some revive which has cal/mag iN it wondering if I’m getting too much light so it’s burning thru more then it can feed
