New bubs for the perpetual auto run, rooming with their big sisters
I've gone with a 2/3 biobizz allmix 1/3 lightmix soil for these as I think full on allmix was a bit too much for seedlings(considering I murdered some with it).
Don't mind the Captain. He knows good green.
All is well, growth is fast. And I've even got a little mutant side shoot growing out of the cotyledon node. Neat!
Most likely will start LST in the following week.
All plants are growing fast at a more or less even rate. There are some well developed side branches(on the Sweet Crit in particular) that look like they might rival the main, thanks to LST. Seeing loads of pistils with stretch at the end of this week.
Keeping on with the LST and young flowers are steadily coming in - loving the pistils on the sweet critical as they're really chunky. I'm hoping some more stretch will kick in more soon on the blueberry in particular so I can open her out a little more.
Buds are growing, did a little defoliate - mostly old leaves affected by Mn issues that appear to be resolved in the new growth. Nice little indica stretch on these, the blueberry is staying shorter and compact. New seeds in alongside these, the other half of the same pack :) LST is so useful for perpetual growing under a single light source.
Stuff's a'ight. Upped feed to a good response(I've gone and accidentally underfed them a bit before this week), but at least the flowers haven't stopped growing, including a sneaky little budsite from the cotyledon node on the sweet critical. Blueberry's suffered the least from the underfeeding, the white widow's rocking double serrations on her leaves so I hope she can keep 'em. I like the cut of her jib. I like the cut of all their jibs.
Lots of progress this week! Not long left on the blueberry, and she smells amazing. Sweet critical will probably be next, and the white widow is still taking her sweet lovely time w/ stacking before she gets wider. Had a cold snap which really accelerated the fade the last couple of days, and I started flush on d55 with water only for bb and sc, but ww has at least one more feed. The young plants behind are more of the same 3 growing for next year :)
For my third harvest ever I'm suitably happy with these gorls
Stopped feeding last week so flush/fade process is following the plan, eating up leaves, and I'm only plucking them once they're crispy. Chopped the blueberry on d59, thought it would go longer but the trichs were ready on lower bud sites and it was so compact it was only going to foxtail from there anyway. The other two might be ready before week 10 starts, going by the >50% milky trichs. The buds seem to have nice structure as they bulk up, and the smells are amazing :) Nice seeds.
Harvested with milky trichomes, not much amber. Effects are a little heavy behind the eyes but otherwise energetic and mood lifting. Got a lot of housework done on the first smoke
First harvest from the 00 seeds Auto Collection #4. This blueberry was the smallest, bushiest plant, but the trichs were all cloudy with the odd amber and she was starting to make chunky foxtails(as you can see in pics). The buds have a nice structure otherwise and she didn't make many larfy buds, they're mostly dense and resinous, with a dominating smell of blueberries mixed with some slightly cheesey, herbal, and earthy scents. This blueberry's part of my third ever grow and I'm super happy :D
20/02/2021 What I'm currently smoking.
Bonus update! These are some of the results of my second run with the second half of the same seed collection. Figured I'd add this extra section so new growers can follow my own journey as a newbie grower and how better yields definitely result from experience. I forget what I yielded from the Sweet Critical(it was more than the first run), but I pulled 75g dry from the White Widow and 100g dry from the Blueberry - my absolute favourite harvest so far for taste and bud structure, both currently curing with boveda packs. It was awesome learning to grow with these 00 Seeds genetics, they're a lesser known breeder but you can definitely get some amazing results for a great price.
Smells wonderfully sweet, nice dense bud structure with lots of resin and little bits of purple. Seeds all popped, young plants grew vigorously in biobizz lightmix and were easy to train with LST. Recommend the collection packs for the price and the nice varieties.
Feels good to finish my third grow. Sweet Critical auto harvested on day 68. Nice chunky buds, with very little larf. Smells incredibly sweet and spicy, strong mind and body effects are nicely balanced. Definitely my favourite from this Auto collection and I'm really glad I have another one going into flower now for the new Year :).
All seeds popped with healthy, fast growing plants. Flowering started within 3 weeks, woody, evergreen scents. Strong effects, more cerebral than body.
Harvested on day 70. This plant responded nicely to training but I did produce some small buds, a lot of those went into the trim with a ton of sugar leaf that was covering a finger-like bud structure on the tops, with large calyxes. I have another plant from the same collection starting flower now for next year so I'll see if I can improve on this(will avoid underfeeding them during the stretch period this time, for example). Hopefully with fewer mistakes I can improve yield as well, because the smoke itself is lovely.
20/02/21 edit: Make sure to check out the "week 10" update for results of the second run with the same seed collection :)
Looking great so far! I checked out all your other diaries and I'm a fan 🙂 I'll be following along on this one as well, check out my first diary as well and give me a follow back if possible. Looking forward to seeing these babies grow!
