First week down both popped in 24hput in soil 3rd day both had shoots and leaves by 4th day and have been coming along nicely just done first feed of canna a+b 1ml per litre the temp has been low in tent for past few days. 22 lights on 18 off just put radiator back in to raise temp and humidity got fan temp set at 27c so
will see how it goes for 24h see if I need to change anything will keep posting thanks for looking
Not been for a few days both are coming along nicely both 5cm one on the left of double photos has a bit of brown on the leaf spilt a bit of feed on her while watering didn’t realise it did so much damage won’t be so careless again could explain previous leaf issues on other diaries
Been a quite week grown a couple of cm each one definitely doing better than other one to right has extra set of leaves trying on cal mag 0.75ml per L and 2ml per L of A+B soil is taking days to dry out a radiator under platform were pots are to heat soil only got one 250w MH in at moment seems to be doing ok not used it
before broke last 250 bulb not much to report thanks for looking
Now 21/10 put another 250wMH into the tent moved them up to 50 cm put the radiator to come on intermittently and temp has been between 26 and 29 humidity staying around 65for most of the 18 then going up during the dark so everything is going good both coming along nicely will put latest photos up
It’s been a good week both have put a few cm on hight one to the right is definitely doing better making the most of tent while I can made a bench to get pots of the ground 18inch high so don’t have to lower lights too much got two clip on fans others took up too much room during late flowering on last diaries made an acoustic box fan and managed to put 2x250w MH in ended up getting 2 dimable ballasts.Temps been holding at 26 lights on no radiator till lights go off and keeping temp at 19 humidity is holding at 55 to 60 it will all change as they get bigger but I’m more prepared this time happy growing
Coming to the end of week 4 both doubled in size one still clearly doing better than other still only on a&b and calmag just wondering when to start on bloom stimulator and should I use pk13/14 at the same time. Have been advised that you can use pk13/14 all the way in flowering?
Week 4 has been a good week for the girls both doubled in size big one 45cm other 30cm little one not doing as good but still coming on nicely these 2 haven’t been as thirsty as last plants taking a few days to dry not able to go every day so have to get temp readings sent at the end of each day to see if I need to go early.
Start of week 5. 03/11/2020. The 250wMH bulbs have done the trick just changed them out for a couple of new 600 HPS bulbs got ballasts set at 400w for a few days see how they go with stronger lights and see how temp and humidity settle not been needing any additional heat lights have been holding temp at 25 to 26 humidity 50 to 65% new set up and equipment doing good clip on fans a must for small tents loads more room lifted lights to 45cm and started on new nutrients pk13/14, calmag 2.0,BAC bloom stimulator lower doses than recommended not checked ph level left ph pen at home so have to check on next visit did a bit of light defoliation and LST on the larger one caught them at the right time starting going light green for bud sites hope nutrients do what they say will keep posting thanks for looking
5,11,20been back today and they don’ t like the tent open started drooping after 20 mins both have put on about 10cm each and taken to LST really well.Adjusted ties to keep tension opening up realy well defoliation is healing fast after24h the removal of the fan leaves has helped seeing a lot of new growth a bit worried about ph level on feed tryed after a mix of nutrients and was reading 2.9ph but soil is 7.0 water before adding mix is 7.0 should I adjusted feed or keep going. Soil was bone dry first time ever with these two could be the switch to flower but both seem to be doing well first time on auto but only 3 diaries in still new and eager to learn
Just been back to have a check on them both are looking droopy i suppose it could be a number of things.LST,defoliation,changing the lights ,or the extra nutrients Iv just started using can anyone give me any advice or is it just too soon for them to get used to the new condition
It’s been a good week put about 10 cm on both. Been doing LST on the bigger one taking on to it really well opening up nicely. All so been defoliating the larger fan leaves blocking the light on new growth had about 10 big leaves and healing really nicely had an issue with ph once I got to full doses on nutrients down to 1.5 sorted it with ph up now keeping it around 5.8 to 6.4 both seem happy and growing well. Both now on 1.5L per day pots are light after 24 not feeding till it runs off don’t want to over water can only go at every 24h so need to be ready to feed and not still damp really happy with the grow of autos first attempt. Been a good week big one is definitely into the flowering stage done a lot of defoliation over the past week really taking to the LST around the bottom needing to open the top up now so that will be my next job happy with how it’s all going so far will keep posting
Been a busy 2 days done a lot more defoliation might have even gone over board they have been really bushy and since flowering has taken off all the bud sites were covered so it all had to go I’m going to leave them both and just carry on with the LST I got some gardening rods to put in so I can carry on with the LST at the top the big one is 65cm and the smaller one is 50cm totally different in size and look but same strain and germanated together had the same attention and nutrients good job you get a free seed when you buy one. Still a while to go so happy growing
With autos is it better to keep lights on for longer to get a better bud or is it better to go like photo period with12/12 on 20/4 at mo and my last question gave me a thought of does it grow more during dark or light for the last few weeks? Thanks for any advice 👍👍
12/12 will slow your auto plants down and possibly result in smaller flowers. It seems most auto growers have settled on 20 on and 4 off as the easiest compromise. I believe plants do require their rest and lighting at 24 on constantly, or 22 on 2 off is just too much light and not enough recovery/sleep time. For the second part of your question, that is a very interesting one! I believe plants are producing energy and adding growth slowly during the day(light) cycle and seem to put most of the noticeable extra growth during the night(dark) cycle. I am basing this on outdoor growing, so am open to opinion, however, I have noticed little change in plants during the day, but when you see them in the morning, changes/growth seems to be more identifiable. Then again, during the day you generally see your plants more often and growth may be harder to detect compared to night time, when you do not see your plants for a longer period. I think I have just found a new experiment to conduct! At this stage I believe plants put most of their new growth on at night time. Hope this helps... Organoman.

Thanks everyone for advice gone for 20/4 got a lot of bud sites and just want them to fatten up got the nutrients this time so hopefully they will make the difference in finale weeks 👍👍👍👍
Plants actually do a lot of growing in lights out hours. Through lights on their creating the sugars they need to do their thing. So, if their autos I would stick with 18/6. Cheers
Week 7 been a good week not been down as much but got someone doing the feeding and keeping an eye on temps just got a 25L flexi tank so I could sort the feed out for 7 days it was a lot quicker once I’d figured out the doses for 25L all done ph at 6.3 had temp holding at 28 and 20 lights off but dropping to 15 for about 35 mins have to sync the timers see if that’s the problem both are really thirsty 2L a day and seem to be ok with all the nutrients not done anything since last defoliation 4/5 days ago and they are both over grown going to need another defoliation before I start flushing out that could be soon will keep posting thanks for looking
Do you really need a carbon filter only doing 2 at a time and the smell isn’t noticeable could do with out the filter and intake fan of the tent give me another 20cm to lift the lights.Lights at 35cm from top of tallest and running a 600w over that one still going to have exhaust
You don’t really need the carbon filter if you’re not worried about smell. You can always hook it up later if need be. But like @gmslave said, exhaust and fresh air is important so you should keep the fan running. Don’t sacrifice air exchange for a little more space.
It’s been a good week for both plants both are coming on nicely bigger one is about a week ahead judging by how dense the budz are compared to the other plant been having to do some major defoliation thee leaves just keep growing back so fast covering the budz having to do a lot of LST to open bigger one up and she seems happy with it feeding them 2.5L a day both are dry by the time it feeding so all the nutrients seem to be ok no signs of problems yet so happy days going to give another week before starting the flush will keep posting thanks for looking
4/11 been going for past few days to defoliate bought some foliage spray to help with stress going to leave them alone for a bit see if I need to do anything else really impressed with the big one was able to do some heavy LST on that one and the out come is definitely helping the othe didn’t look like it could take it so only did light LST was always smaller but got exactly the same love and attention still impressed and looking like it’s coming on will keep posting thanks for looking
At what point should I do the last defoliation they are both in need of a trim lots of bud sites are covered over about 2/3weeks left to go did a trim a few days ago but recovered nicely
Don’t defoliate at this point unless you see dead leaves or yellow leaves. Nothing more is needed for your healthy looking plants. Ignoring this advice can stunt bud growth, delay harvest time, and more things you wish to avoid after all your patience and hard work. Good luck thru harvest time
Can you run a 250w veg light and a 600w flowering light together Iv got 2 in the last few weeks but Iv just germinated another 2 seeds last time I tried a seedling under just flowering light it didn’t do very much growing so I put it in a friend’s tent under veg light for last 3
Seedlings can totally be in the same tent as flowering plants. Not sure if necessary, but you can run the lights at the same time as well. Seedlings don't need as much light though, so make sure they're not getting too much from the flower light.
Another good week everything growing as it should going to start flushing the big one in next few days and the othere a week after things are looking good for Christmas the big one is loving the LST everything gets tightened or moved to open her up and it’s working great the budz are nice and dense to the touch hopeing for big things off this one the smaller one has got more bud sites but they’re all covered up by the leaves she could really do with a trim but I don’t think you can this far on ? It’s been a good week ended up harvesting top half of big one and I am well impressed she lived up to her name took 350 off wet dried it for 4 days and we are off to a flying start ended up with 104.55g happy days and there’s still more than Iv taken left on and it’s getting fatter by the day may be the HST has bad got her in
defence mode only did one cut and bandaged it up been 5days and held good.
The smaller one is doing really good too she isn’t as far on as the other buds are no were near as fat as the other and they have had exactly the same nutrients she never seemed to be as strong as the other so didn’t get much LST until late on not done much defoliation with this one wanted to see difference but I think I need to do one am I too late ?
I will put a final weight in when I finish the harvest on the big one and see how the other is going thanks for looking
18/12 every thing is going great both plants are fattening up nicely even after topping. I really think it’s helped fatten up the bottom half. the big one has been getting flushed for about 2 weeks the smaller one for only a few days the smaller one really needs a definition it’s over grown and loads are covered by all the fan leaves undecided at the mo about defoliating or leaving to see which is best. To defoliate or not before harvest? Will keep posting thanks for looking
Hi all just needing a bit of advice can I defoliate at week 11 there’s so much bud that’s covered Iv started the flush a couple of days ago so don’t no what to do? Thanks for any advice
Ended up finishing off other half of harvest on big one finally got it dried got another 114 grams off bone dry bud so final dry eight of 218 grams just short or 8oz great result form one plant it’s a good smoke well relaxing buzz going to leave other down for extra week not going to get as much off this one budz aren’t any were near as big been a good strain and ready to order more easy grow and good weight at the end wil keep posting on the other thanks for looking
