18x plants, clones
5x different strains
3x "Garlic Mist" plants, clones of female regulars
I had some doubts this week. Trichome production is slow to start, and the plants have too many leaves. Some plants are clearly doing better than others, but I have certainly grown better varieties of RQS. 😕 But if you're looking for something unique, these regulars are excellent. 😍 All 5 of the brand new regulars strains of RQS are unique in their scent and aroma. 👍 In my original first outdoor culture of these regulars (see other diaries) the indicated harvest time of early October turned out to be totally unrealistic. 😠 That's why my goal now is to get some unique phenos of these ladies. This will certainly work.
This Garlic Mist is the strangest crossing of the new regular strains from RQS. 😏 The plants don't produce many flowers. Looks like pheno # 3 has buds with even more leaves than flowers. 😢 With the two other phenos # 6 and # 7 things are going in the right direction and have a promising scent. 😃 . But also here often very small leaves in the buds 😒
Thanks to LST and topping, each plant has three main buds. The plastic plant stakes serve to support the heavy buds. 💪
The plants had a weekly vigorous defoliation. 😮 This week they got their last defoliation before harvesting. 😦 They are now very bare, but this will give the lower buds a lot of light, allowing all buds to ripen hard. 😍
GM # 1 lots of leaves, Even after defoliation, the buds are actually hidden behind the leaves.
GM # 6 has a better leaf / bud ratio than # 1, but this plant also slowly grows fat
GM # 7 can be compared to # 6 buds but faster flower formation and less leaves.
@Oyziphar, do you think it was because of the grow/problems or the genetics? So healthy roots and stem development, I thought there must be some potential but have only read a few positive comments yet.
